DBL - Shroom meets Velte

[01:06] [user]Shroom[/user]: A red-violet streak shot across the sky, only to make a sudden sharp turn of a zigzag, then backtrack across the Black Desert sky. The lone form of the Dark Empire's Grim Reaper paused up above the new construct. A greenhouse?... With the shaft of his scythe resting to his shoulder and wicked curved blade stretching overhead, his ruby gaze peered down curiously.

[color=brown]"Specs?!"[/color] It was a callout before he ventured downward, boots settling to the ground.

[01:13] *[user]Velte[/user] was completely occupied with her research and her flora from across the nexus, though there were still plenty of empty planters, and only about three zones worth of planters filled up, with several planters of each zone having plants from the other zones. There were devices above the planters, obviously meant to subject them to that zone's environment. The greenhouse was large, about an industrial size. Velte was in the very back, getting the last few plants of Zone 7 planted.
[01:21] *[user]Shroom[/user] cringed. [color=brown]"Ugh.. it's like a lab.."[/color] Yet he stepped inside, peeking about and the plants were what caught his eye. [color=brown]"Dammit Fu.. I was doin' it first. Different reasons, but still..."[/color] Of course there were different reasons, given how unhinged and different Shroom was compared to everyone else-- especially Fu.

[color=brown]"SPECS? DON'T SEND BARFHEAT. IT'S JUST ME!"[/color] Inward he walked, but it didn't take long for Shroom to get distracted by a few planters that had some flora he hadn't come across or gathered yet. Those devices were eyed, and one was even tapped upon by a black-fingered nail in curious probing. [color=brown]"Now that I like.."[/color]

[01:48] *[user]Velte[/user] 's ears twitched upon catching a voice somewhere near the entrance of her greenhouse. It wasn't one she was familiar with, so of course Velte was quick to react to it. She really needed to get her security forces set up. Most of what was present in the greenhouse was all naturally growing in the nexus, though the one Shroom was specifically examining was already being twisted and reshaped by the demon girl's magic.

[color=pink]"Don't get too attached."[/color] Came her voice from behind Shroom, her hands behind her back. [color=pink]"Also, is it normal for you to walk into other's buildings without knocking first?"[/color] She inquired with a playful tone in her velvety voice.

[i][sub]or Miss Robel..[/sub][/i]"[/color] He straightened and stepped back from her work, scythe given a casual lean to his shoulder. [color=brown]"Came here lookin' for someone but guess I trespassed. Whoops."[/color]

Anyone associated to Fu was likely to be a strong individual, and she still had some heavy limits to her abilities. [sub]Granted, he was surrounded by her magical element, but that would ruin the samples.[/sub] [color=pink]"Well, I do have a mutual arrangement with Fu. I test and improve my magic, and he gets the Kili. Simple."[/color] She bowed politely to the other demon. [color=pink]"My name is Velté, I am a mage of the demon realm."[/color]

It freed up both hands and left him all too casual, the bow noted with a slight cant of his head to the right. [color=brown][sub]"Guess Specs really is growin' up.."[/sub][/color] It was a moment for a bittersweet smile, before he quickly shook it off and jutted his chin up with pride. [color=brown]"Demon God of Death, Grim Reaper of the Dark Empire, the Demon Realm's Death God... Shroom."[/color] A most chill, relaxed friendly smile was beamed to Velte with a bow of his head.
[02:17] *[user]Velte[/user] kept her crimson eyes on Shroom, watching his movements to make sure he doesn't try to attack her or anything. She blinked a few more times as he introduced himself, her supple lips curling into a smile, a light nod. [color=pink]"Oh! Well, it's a pleasure to meet you mister Shroom. I've heard plenty of you and your comrades."[/color] She stated with another bow. [color=pink]"I will request you be careful around here. I am studying the flora of the nexus, and preparing for possible futures."[/color]

And of all of the Demon Gods, it was he who had titles.. along with his reputation.

[color=brown]"Neat stuff, ain't it? I got my own garden growin' back at Darkness Isle. A bit of this and that, and contents from across worlds. Still collection' too. I know the upkeep, the [b]cultivation[/b] growin' somethin' like these things require. Interestin' green thumb ya got there."[/color]

[color=pink]"Needless to say, I won't hesitate to inform Fu that he's not going to be getting his Kili anytime soon because my research was ruined~"[/color] The demoness replied with a devious, yet playful grin, just trying to establish an understanding. [color=pink]"Mmm... Well, this is more than just a collection, and a mere green thumb."[/color] She stated. Her staff suddenly appeared in her hand and she tapped it on the ground. The leaf of the plant behind Shroom reached out brush his cheek, and if he looked, he'd see it had grown a fair bit, with the presence of a demonic aura surrounding it.

Try that and see where it gets you."[/color] He perhaps took it wrong, like a threat and replied with a nonchalant bluntness with a lack of care for that manner of deceit. Having just spent days in a garden, well.. he was a bit too comfortable in the greenhouse. The sudden brush to his cheek made him jump, a show of his guard down before ruby gaze peered over and Shroom's grin cracked. [color=brown]"Ah I get it, magic enhancement. The devices scream Specs, but this is all you, eh?"[/color] With an odd care, his touch was soft, a caress of knuckle from curled finger given under the leaf like one might pet a cat. [color=brown]"I do the ol' natural stuff, with a few soulistic empowerments. Mine is for seedin' a specialized area to get to the real cultivation of matters, my expertise. [b]Souls.[/b] Kinda require a lot of creature comforts. Can't risk the darkness gettin' 'em corrupt for some of the weaker ones. Say... How'd Fu come to get someone like you? It seemed to remain that way for a bit, before retreating and returning to how it was. [color=pink]"Well... I remember a demoness with ice magic, and a bulky male with lightning magic. Mine's just focused on plants."[/color] She informed him, nodding as she listened to his explanation of how he works with plants. [color=pink]"All of this here, is so I can study the flora in the different regions of this nexus, and see how they grow in the other regions, as well as how they react when corrupted by our dark magic. The end goal, is so I know my options when I have to fight and use my powers. I can't just be assuming the terrain is the same as anywhere else."[/color] She hummed for a moment. [color=pink]"Of course, this is just one of my many projects. As for my being here... Something went wrong when I went to return to the demon realm."[/color]

Different for not just here, but each region and each time of that region. I get 'round it with a loophole by tappin' into the soulistic planes but I suggest you use a dark magic feedback, find your resonance with the plants here and tap into their frequency of existence, get your magic to mesh. Then you'll be on level ground, like.. literally. O' course environmental effects will still have issue but eh, that's why you're studyin' right?"[/color] He leaned inward, perhaps a bit too close to blink at Velte. Very much a lack of personal space there. [color=brown]"To figure what plants to use for what, what for each region and your needs? Like a Fire Blossom sounds like a good idea for Mesmersnow and facin' an ice-user, but you'd need to protect it from the cold. Get 'round that with either magic or use some Snowsickle Sap on the seed or plant itself. If you used magic, there's a good chance the ice-user could revoke it, over-power it, cancel it.. That's their expertise afterall.. but eh, use sap and they can't do much."[/color]

[03:22] *[user]Velte[/user] stood there with her staff in hand now as she listened to Shroom, taking his ideas and suggestions to heart, and making mental note of every option he suggested. [color=pink]"Well, given the vast expanse of this place, I can't exactly timely throw someone off with a plant that doesn't belong if I make it grow from its source. It also wouldn't be subtle enough."[/color] She smiled, feeling fine to share her plans with this other demon that understood where her abilities lied. [color=pink]"If I need to introduce a non-native plant, it would most likely be through the use of a freshly-planted seed already corrupted with the natural magic."[/color] She summoned up her tablet to note something down. [color=pink]"If I could use my magic to make it grow with that effect though, I suppose it would help, wouldn't it?"[/color] Regardless of whether or not they were viable ideas, it was good to have every possibility figured out.
[03:31] *[user]Shroom[/user] leaned inward again, peering and giving Velte more of a look over. Almost scrutinizing, but it was hard to tell when he looked.. serious. It was a rare thing, almost out of place. [color=brown]"So you can't invoke the plant's essence? Huh.. Might be somethin' to look into. Aside from that, vine wrappin' is a thing to utilize, as well as the plant aspects. Fire Blossoms are too big to cart with ya but if you used their dried petals and gave 'em a sap-coat, you might be able to fling 'em and invoke their power beyond natural bloom and defense for your own use.... Combine that and some explosive powder residues and you got some bang too... That's what I'd do anyway."[/color] Lips pursed and he tersely leaned back, straightened into place with a sideways glance to no spot in particular. That's what I'd do [i]if I did and had your technique and potential.[/i] Feh.."[/color] It wasn't too often he just random offered input, and having it seemingly spat back at him.. well.. he just turned and adjusted his cowl with one hand, other arm sliding free of his scythe to let it glide downward and be caught with his free hand in one fluid motion. Two steps forward were taken before he caught himself and paused. [color=brown]"Thanks."[/color] Then he made for the exit in casual stride.

The techniques others have hardened and worked to perfect should be utilized, not cast aside for the sake of such idiocy. You build on 'em. Of course I like the whole, citizen life and bask in the limelight of the ViD. Very. Important. Demon."[/color] There went that proud smile, a shimmy of his head given with that confidence.
