- [23:09] <lpf> at some point there was a terrible succession of plot twists in a very short time: mysteriously, the water keeping the zombie at bay disappears! but wait, your friend happened to be hidden nearly, he's going to fight them! but wait! the zombies are in fact stronger! but wait! the sun is rising, which means the zombies are dead!
- [23:10] <lpf> and then. at some point, said zombies catch both characters sleeping. instead of taking in both, they only take the girl. and instead of harming her right away, they just mysteriously take her to some ruins, leaving her the time to wake up and react accordingly.
- [23:11] <lpf> conversely, i liked how the girl's background (or rather, her father's) is revealed, only via implied scenes
- [23:12] <lpf> and. before shin/shun (whichever) dies, he makes an intriguing move (pointing to the stars). only later is revealed the stars' significance for his people, and no further reference to his deed is made, i liked this.
- [23:13] <lpf> the thing is, the girl's motives for doing the journey were somewhat flimsy. she essentially did that for a boy she's seen for a whopping two minutes
- [23:13] <lpf> though her father's implied research might have had a role
- [23:14] <lpf> similarly i don't think enough reason was given for the male protagonist to want to resurrect his wife. and even then, it was incomplete in that the film ITSELF states that his desire is unhealthy (an elder says it), yet at the end he has no development and doesn't grow out of his aspirations (EVEN THOUGH they haven't been fulfilled!)
