Shigure: Hello, Father. I didn't hear you come in. I'm sorry... I know this is no time for artwork. We are at war, after all.
Rohan: Don't misunderstand me, Son. Criticizing you about spending time in this hobby would be hypocrite of me. Even so, I feel bad for you. In a different time or place, you would have become a world-famous artist.
Shigure: That's kind of you to say, but I'm not so sure about that.
Rohan: You've inherited my talent, you should take pride in this ! Your paintings truly deserve to be seen. There must be a way to show off all this work to other people...
Shigure: What do you mean?
Rohan: Hmm... I know what to do. We should throw a solo exhibition and display all of your work.
Shigure: A-an exhibition? I could never do that. Besides, our troops are on the advance. The setup alone would be much more work than it's worth.
Rohan: Who said anything about making it a grand affair ? We just have to rent a tent and announce it to the troops and villagers nearby.
Shigure: B-but it seems so vain to reserve a whole tent just for my personal use.
Rohan: In trying times, it's important to find a way to quiet one's mind. This show could be a very welcome break from hardship for everyone. Besides, there's a difference between pride and vanity. Pride is when you make something and show it for everyone to see. Vanity is when you do the same thing while being far more insulting to others.
Shigure: I... I see. Still, I'm not sure if that's a good idea.
Rohan: It's not every day that I, Rohan Kishibe, would suggest something like this for someone other than himself. I won't force you to accept if you don't want to, but this is a chance you should be seizing.
Shigure: Mmm... Ok. We can give this exhibition a shot. The idea makes me a bit anxious though.
Rohan: This will be the event of the season! We should get started right away. I'll head into town to recruit volunteers. I'll see you soon, Shigure!

Shigure: Thank you, Father. Heh. No matter what kind of art we're talking about, he's always so excited.

Rohan: Hey, Shigure. Is everything okay ? You look worried.

Rohan: No need to thank me. The villagers accepted to help out after hearing about your paintings. What I did do to contribute to the exposition is making this billboard. I think it turned out alright. Take a look.
Shigure: « Grand Opening ! The son of « Pink Dark Boy »'s creator's marvelous paintings ! ». My goodness, I knew about your calligraphy skills being unparalleled, but I didn't think it extended to artworks of this caliber.
Rohan: I would have spent some more time into this, but it is YOUR exhibition, not mine. Are you alright ? You look nervous, Shigure.
Shigure: I am. But mostly, I'm upset because my last painting isn't coming together...
Rohan: Ah yes, the new piece that you're making just for the event. Artist's block, I take it ? While I would love to see a new work from you, time is running short. If it's going to be too much trouble, you may want to think about completing it later. Does it really need to be in the show?
Shigure: I promised myself that I would finish it. Everyone has worked so hard to pitch in. I want them to know how much I appreciate all of their hard work. That means the exhibition must be great.
Rohan: I know this feeling, but don't overwork yourself. All this effort will be pointless if you make yourself ill.
