- [14:26] <LeTama> bally3: let's take discussion here
- [14:26] <LeTama> bally3: busy at work, will reply a little later
- [14:28] == tmzt has changed nick to tmzt_dg2root
- [14:31] <LeTama> ok, so regarding going further with tosh, the idea I had was first having a kernel that boot up to shell and stable
- [14:32] <LeTama> it means stripping all hd2 specific stuff
- [14:32] <LeTama> in particular rpc, as you need to call the right function with the right parameters if you don't want to crash modem
- [14:33] <LeTama> when this is done, we have a good base to start implementing toshiba specific drivers
- [14:34] <LeTama> this would mean gpio/i2c research
- [14:34] <LeTama> via haret
- [14:34] <LeTama> and rpc client disassembly to get rpc function and parameters
- [14:35] <LeTama> after this, we can start adding one by one drivers and get more and more functionnalities back
- [14:36] <LeTama> and finally, we should be able to tackle audio. I don't know how audio is different from hd2, but this is a tough area
- [14:36] <LeTama> last steps would be power management and nand
- [14:37] <LeTama> to give you an idea, with Cotulla it took a couple of month to go up to audio
- [14:37] <LeTama> and he's very good
- [14:37] <LeTama> so don't expect something as functional as hd2 soon :)
- [14:48] <@bally3> ok
- [14:48] <@bally3> sorry Im at work
- [14:49] <@bally3> back in half hour
- [14:49] <LeTama> np, same here :)
- [15:39] == isikil [5ff60937@gateway/web/freenode/ip.95.246.9.55] has joined #toshdroid
- [15:39] <Guachiflai> So, LeTama, your proposition is starting from scratch and add one feature at the time.
