BACKGROUND |

5 years after she was born, she moved to korea with her family so unlike her sister, she didn't get the chance to make friends back in japan.

how they met: hani met jeongin in kindergarten but they weren't in the same class. during line up, jeongin had accidentally went to another class line. he notices after a while but being the shy boy he is, he quietly follows hoping someone would notice and tell him to go back. no one did, until play time. the girl that sat across from him was none other than hani, who questioned him. the two kids were shy and with all the noise in the classroom, it was almost impossible to hear the other. while all the other kids were playing with toys, the two spent the next 45 minutes communicating through actions. (lowkey because of the fact that her korean wasn't that good yet) after that day, the two became good friends and jeongin's parents changed him to hani's class.

how they separated: growing up with each other, they became inseparable and hani was one of the first people he opened up to. however, once they entered middle school, the two started to drift apart. it wasn't that bad until the 7th grade(second year). jeongin who attracts many friends and was active in co-curriculums while hani was always helping others and maintaining a great reputation, they couldn't find time to talk like they used to. after a year, hani's family had to move to gwangju because her dad got an offer. due to their now distant relationship, hani left without telling jeongin, assuming he was busy with his school activities.

she also grew distant with her sister, yari. yari lost her friends when they moved to korea so her sister became her only friend since she was the only one she could talk to. sadly, instead of spending time with yari, hani became more fond of jeongin. yari was quiet and shy so she didn't make many friends. hani was close to her but one day yari decided to shut her out since she disliked how distant they had become.

PAST RELATIONSHIP |

-most of the time, one would be pulling the other somewhere.
-jeongin was more talkative and open around hani while she learnt to be a little more calm around him. because he's shy, she learnt to restrain herself and accept others.
-their parents were often taking photos of them and even made a photo book of their memories.
-jeongin would do small sweet things like making matching flower crowns and hani would randomly buy him treats.

MEMORIES |
-their first fight when they were 9, jeongin kept asking her to do things for him but soon hani realizes. she gets upset and ignores him for a day.
-in primary/elementary school, hani got mad because some kids weren't treating each other fairly. she tried to solve it but got blamed instead.
-early in the first year of middle school, they went to the park together. jeongin was busy playing with monkey bars while hani stood beneath him watching. also happens to be where jeongin 'accidentally' kissed her forehead while hanging upside down.

HOW SHE TREATS HIM | she treats him like any other friend. attempts to be friendly but can't deny the awkwardness between them. sometimes spaces out to that memory back in 6th grade (middle school) and still wonders what it means.

HOW HE TREATS HER | jeongin on the other hand, keeps trying to revive their friendship. he wants things to be the way they were before they became distant. so he uses a lot of inside jokes and often brings up old memories of them.
