  55. >=[Frequently Asked Stupid Questions]=<
  56.
  57. Q: Does /vg/, /vm/, /mcg/ or /v/ have any official servers?
  58. A: /vm/ has some up pretty often, search for Minecraft there. See server list for /mcg/-oriented servers. Also, NOBODY CARES about server drama - if server is down, admins are dicks or you don't like a mod in any of those servers, don't bug the thread.
  59.
  60. Q: I stopped playing months ago, what's new in Minecraft?
  61. A: http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Version_history
  62.
  63. Q: Thread is in autosage and nobody made a new one! What do?
  64. A: Copy and paste the OP and add "/mmcg/ - Modded Minecraft General" as subject. Pick a random Minecraft-related image or cool aesthetic/architecture/tech/landscape image and post it.
  65.
  66. Q: What launcher should I use?
  67. A: PolyMC is the current flavor of multiMC fork.
  68.
  69. Q: Does /mcg/ [dis]like [insert resource pack/mod/LPer/gamemode... here]? What modpack should I play???
  70. A: Different people have different tastes. Also Minecraft Let's players have stopped being relevant and what we have now are the dregs at the bottom of the barrel nobody bothered to clean, so keep that in mind. Same goes for modpacks. They're all terrible, except for TOYMY.
  71.
  72. Q: How do I install mods?
  73. A: Download the Fabric or Forge modloaders, install for the version you want, and launch the game to generate the necessary files. then go through Curse's awful shitty search system until you find a mod you want, download it, and put it in your new mods folder in the minecraft directory. Check the mod's curse page for more specific installation requirements and dependencies.
  74.
  75. Q: What's FLOAT?
  76. A: Dead 2012 /v/ meme. We already have FLAOT at home, it's called OWG.
