  13. Roleplay: Blood, smoke, and a very thick scent of sweat was all Cerasus could sense as she stood in the middle of the destroyed forest on her way to the palace. Her father, the king, was hiding away in the castle like a coward, his guard protecting him. That was always his way, feeling that the threat of an enemy wasn’t worth his time, or wasn’t good enough for him to actually have to get involved. But, this time he would watch as Cerasus and her small rebellion army made their way to the castle doors and blew it right off their hinges.
  14. Ever since she was a little girl, her father had always denied her the right to rule, saying that as a woman she couldn’t rule over the Sayians of Sadala. That, because she was a woman, she couldn’t be strong enough to beat him or even protect her people.
  15. Moving her way through the palace hallway made of granite and marble, paintings of the past rulers’ failure adorned the walls. Finally, she got to her destination: the throne room. The door to it was made from solid metal with countless rare gems embedded into the door, making a beautiful design. Upon opening it, she was met by her father, sitting lazily in his throne, beside two of his elite saiyan guards, both sporting the blue gladiator-like outfit that was their norm for the royal military.
  16. “My daughter! So glad of you to make it back home! How about you call off your men and daddy won't have to get out his belt!” Her father had said as if mocking her and the small force of people she had with her.
  17. “I'm here to claim my right! You have done me and these people injustice for far too long, father! Sadala should be ruled with unity; this piety way of separation and power is meaningless if we are to survive…. I hereby challenge your right to rule!” She said pointing to her father as his elite guard looked around curiously. The challenge of someone's right to rule was a challenge of life and death. If one was to call a challenge, and had the power to back it up the challenge must be met.
  18. Their fight was a long and messy battle, destroying most of the throne room and even some of the outside forest which surrounded the castle. But, in the end, after a broken right leg and a fractured left wrist, Cerasus emerged victorious. She dragged her father's dead corpse by his head back to the castle and back into the throne room, limping along the way. With a heavy thud she placed her body right in front of her mother. The woman who had bore her and raised her into who she was, the person who also stood by as she just watched how her father treated the people.
  19. The look on her mother’s face was one of grotesque horror. To witness the child she had created, kill her beloved was simply mortifying.
  20. “How? Why? Do you want to rule that badly that you would tear this family apart just to lead?” she said with tears running down her face as she held her dead lover in her arms.
  21. “Mother, it wasn't just this family…. Our people have been getting torn apart as well, what I have to do to make sure things are right is my burden to bear. But, if you ask me he’s better off dead.” Cerasus said to her mother as she moved past the two signaling to the guards and the two soldiers, who were now hers, to begin cleaning up the destruction she had caused.
