  1. Twitter convo between TonyInICT (@shigdiggydoowop) and @ExcitingBooks 03/26/14-03/27/14
  2.
  3. Shig: So really, what is this all about?
  4.
  5. Exciting Books: This is some graphic design work I did, and I'm posting a book cover every day. Are you looking for someone to do graphic design work?
  6.
  7. Shig Diggerton: No I'm interested because the books are apart of an ARG I am active in. Can you tell me who hired you to do them?
  8. Also they are very similar in style to the works of Quim Marin. Are you a fan?
  9. But actually... how much would you charge for a little pic that said Tony Two Fish and two fish on it for my Steam account?
  10.
  11. Exciting Books:
  12. What game are they being used in? It wasn't actually clear to me how they were going to be used when I made them.
  13. I wasn't familiar with the name Quim Marin, but I found his tumblr and see he(?) also is a big fan of Helvetica and flat colors. Good stuff.
  14.
  15. Shig Diggerton: Its a long story really. It all started with a weird phone number on an image board. If you want to follow along there is an on going thread Twitter wont let me send the link for some reason. But basically the books are actually being used to give codes to agents of the game. They have been dropped all over the globe and the group has intercepted the codes and books in a way. It is a very intriguing game. So I was wondering if you knew the people behind it so we can try to figure out whats going on. I will send you more info when Twitter is done updating its link shortener.
  16.
  17. Exciting Books: This is interesting, it sounds like you know more than I do. I just worked off a list of titles, barcode .ps files, and sometimes images.
  18. We corresponded over email, though I wouldn't feel comfortable giving that out. It's cool to hear how the work is being used though.
  19.
  20. Shig Diggerton: I understand. If you noticed, some of the barcodes are the same for some of the books. The barcodes belong to a First Lady book. If you would like to check out whats going on, put dots after forums and unfiction

  22. A pic of one of your books used is here:

  24.
  25. Exciting Books:
  26. Cool! That's the first time I've seen any of the books in print.
  27. Re: the duplicated barcodes, I probably screwed some up, I know I've sometimes posted old versions of the covers themselves.
  28.

  30. Sorry if I am getting annoying but two more things. Did you see my message about creating that logo? Also how long ago did they contact you to make the book covers?
