Alexithymiaa: -Brad sat at his desk in his dorm, his phone pressed to his ear with his laptop open in front of him. He let out a long laugh, shaking his head and scrolling through the Excel spreadsheet he'd been sent. "Yeah, I'm sorry, but there's no way I can make this work. My equipment rentals alone cost more than you're entire budget. It's just not going to happen with me. I'm already cutting off a huge chunk of what I'd normally make for a video like this because of a friends discount, but your budget isn't anywhere near what it needs to be for me to make it."-
Covet: Kelsey made her way across the dorms over to Bradley's, after getting Connor tucked in for the night. He had school tomorrow, She had school tomorrow. Everyone had school tomorrow. Knowing the door wasn't locked, because he had a door locking problem, she made her way in and sat down at his desk looking at him while he was on the phone. Listening to his words she raised an eyebrow at his rather posh statement.

Alexithymiaa: -He rolled his eyes and started to laugh again. "This isn't really a negotiation. I get that they're a new band and whatever else, but that doesn't mean my expenses change. It is what it is so if you want to come up to my level, we'll talk." He pulled the phone away from his ear and ended the call, setting it down on the desk before leaning over to kiss Kelsey. "Connor in bed?"-
Covet: The look on her face went from questionable to, unempathetic disappointment with how he spoke. After he got off the phone she sort of kissed him back then nodded her head, "Yep, he's excited to start school over at the academy." She pursed her lips as she looked at him, then nodded her head to his phone, "What was that all about?"
Alexithymiaa: "Good. It's nice he's excited about school instead of dreading it. There's time for him to dread it in ten years." He said with a smirk before leaning back in his chair. "Just some label execs trying to play it like they dont have the money to cover what it actually costs to make a music video. They just don't want to pay it."-
Covet: "I hope he never dreads it. But Thomas sent out a letter to all the parents letting them know he'd make sure the evironment will be one to help them thrive." Kelsey said, slightly swooning, "It was very nice of him to do that." She added clearing her throat, then listened to him, "Ah, So basically all that bravado was to strong arm them into calling you back?" Kelsey asked, but there was a slight edge to her voice.
Alexithymiaa: "Well how nice of Thomas." He said VERY sarcastically, adjusting his beanie on his head. "Well yeah. But if they don't call back with a more realistic offer, they can shove it. Find someone else to direct your video, it's no skin off my back. It was already going to be a favor, so it's not like I'm really losing anything by not doing it. I'd be losing something if I did it, but the fact that they're lowballing this much is just ridiculous."-
Covet: Kelsey couldn't help but smirk at his attitude in regards to her bringing up Thomas. With his current attitude it was nice to kind of poke the bear, because he was being ridiculous. " But if it's a favor...then why can't you cut them a break? " Kelsey asked him. "This could be their make or break thing and that'd make you that much more wanted. You've worked off of tight budgets before for me."
Alexithymiaa: "Because things cost money, Kels. Your first video was an exception because I borrowed equipment from the school and shot everything here. I can't do that anymore because we're actually making money on this stuff now. So equipment rentals and location rentals on top of a crew and my salary? Five thousand isnt going to cut it for even the equipment I need."-
Covet: "What is your baseline price?" She asked him as she crossed her legs one over the other, still pursing her lips as she looked over at him.
Alexithymiaa: "For my personal cut, or the whole thing with all the equipment and crew?" He asked her, moving his hand to rest over her knee.-
Covet: "What is the full cost of everything start to finish?" Kelsey said to him, chewing on her bottom lip as he put his hand on her knee.
Alexithymiaa: "Well lighting is usually anywhere from five to ten thousand in rentals, depending on what you're doing. Camera equipment is usually like four to five thousand. Crew salaries for a basic skeleton crew is closer to ten thousand. And post work is somewhere around fifteen, again depending on what kind of work needs to go into it and if there needs to be any comp editing."-
Covet: "And how much of that is your cut?" She asked him, listening to the prices he dropped. She knew stuff was expensive, but jeeze that's a lot of cash. "There's no way you can cut back on some of that. Make the concept more simple?"
Alexithymiaa: "I usually get around five thousand for a regular job. Your more recent video and the work I do for Anna I get a lot more though because your label is willing to put out for you. I was willing to take a huge pay cut on this job because it's for Steph's band and she recommended me to the label, but equipment costs are pretty standard. Not my fault they won't pay it." He spoke with a casual shrug, brushing off the idea of even trying to make shit work for a friend.-
Covet: "Wait...It's for Steph's band?" Kelsey asked him, her face flashing from confused to shocked. "Can I ask why you seem to think you can't do this for a price more reasonable? Especially given that you've known Steph for forever?"
Alexithymiaa: "Because I don't make the prices for equipment rentals?" He shot back with a bit of attitude. "Even if I worked on this video for free and did all the post myself, they still werent even willing to cover the cost of what it would be to rent equipment and pay a crew. How is that my fault? I can't just make the entire video myself."-
Covet: "Why do you need to have all the extra crew? and what do you mean you can't make it by yourself, I've watched you make plenty of videos by yourself." Kelsey told him crossing her arms. "I feel like you're burning a bridge with a label that could eventually be able to pay you the way that Canary does. They've never worked with you, so of course they're going to offer you less than you think you deserve. But, that being said, Steph recomended you, and now you're giving them this kind of attitude, that means, Steph is being held back , and you're making her look bad, for giving a bad recomendation."
Alexithymiaa: "You're reading way too much into this. And now you're insinuating that because she's a friend, not only should I not get paid to do what I do for a living, but I should also extend myself and not even get any help to do it?" He leaned back in his chair with his brows furrowed as he stared at her. "I did that before because no one would pay for the things I needed and my work suffered because of it. I'm not doing that anymore."-
Covet: "Your work suffered? Really? That is a vain statement even from you. I'm sorry that because we had practically no budget, the first video you made for me, caused you so much suffering. I'm sorry that it got you on the map to even be making the kind of money you are. If I would have known it was at the expense of your humble nature, I wouldn't have asked." Kelsey said rolling her eyes, then slid off the desk, " Call the label up and tell them the rest of the cost is covered or something and that you'll do it." She told him, her arms still crossed.
Alexithymiaa: "What?" He stammered as he listened to her, pushing up from his seat at the desk to match her stance. "I wasnt talking about your video. Your cameras were static and it was literally a white back drop. It's not the same for a band. I cant do any of the low budget tricks i did for you. I need an actual camera crew. I can't direct and operate the camera and pull focus all at the same time. What do you really expect of me?" He asked her before shaking his head. "No, I'm not fronting the cost of THEIR video."-
Covet: "So why couldn't you do something similar for Steph's band. There's tons of videos that have had a stationary set up, just with different angles. "I expect you to use your talent to help a friend out, especially when she recomended you, Not use your ego because you think you're better than that." She looked at him, and pursed her lips. " I never said, you were. Because unlike you, I want to see my friends, and family succeed. I'll call the bank to authorize a check in the morning."
Alexithymiaa: "Because it's not their style. It's not their look. I'm not going to force my artistic vision just because their label doesnt want to pay for it. Which by the way, they do for all of their other bands. Paramore, All Time Low, Panic at the Disco? They get big budgets. The label just doesn't want to pay out for a new band. If they wanted quality they should have offered more money. And it's not your responsibility to cheat the system for them either."-
Covet: Kelsey put a finger to Brad's lip, and looked at him directly, without raising her voice. "Bradley, I didn't ask for your oppinion on the matter, or for whatever excuse you think they have for not paying you what you've decided you need to make this happen. You basically just told me that you can't be asked to be creative with your talent, even though I've seen you work with less. The reason they aren't willing to pay more, is because they don't know you, look at the directors and producers of those bands, and the repitoires they have. Don't get me wrong, you're good, but the person doing a favor for anyone, is them for you. So you can either suck it up, and offer to cover the rest of the cost, or You'll take my money and do like I asked." She said fully intending to make the staement more of a demand.
Alexithymiaa: (Im clapping.)
Alexithymiaa: -He shut his mouth when she put her finger to his lips, just listening to her words silently. "If you want to cover the costs our of your own pocket, that's your decision and I'm not going to stop you." He closed his mouth immediately following his words, knowing when to shut up, at least.-

Covet: "Good, Call them back and tell them you've had a change of heart and will cover it for the five grand they have. Don't say a word about my involvement." Kelsey told him bringing her hand back down. "Now.. being that It's my money and you can't be bothered to stretch your creativity, I'm taking control of that, and giving it to Steph and their band, and her Label. Whatever they ask for, whatever input they have, you make it happen, Do I make myself clear?"
Alexithymiaa: -He exhaled deeply, starting to nod his head. "Yes..." He kind of grumbled his answer reluctantly, knowing what would come with these circumstances.-
Covet: She gave him a smile and walked over to him, tilting his head up, to give him a kiss, "Thank you." Her hand moved to his chest and she gave it a pat as she stepped back.
Alexithymiaa: "You're welcome." He grumbled again, jamming his hands down into the pockets of his jeans as he leaned in to return her kiss. "Do I even get to make my own schedule or do they just get to tell me when and where I have to be?" Attitude.-
Covet: "Of course you can make your own schedule, you'll work according to how you would normally, with the exception of them wanting to add or change anything." Kelsey told him with a sweet smile, thouroughly pleased with how we was responding.
Alexithymiaa: "That's not how I normally work." He spoke in monotone, just eyeing her because he was pissed, but being submissive which was totally in line with how he liked his women. Hah. "What's the point of being the director if you dont make any of the creative decisions?"-
Covet: She turned to look at him, "Don't over complicate this Bradley, Start off with your vision, and go with it, but if they want to try or do something different, comply to them." Kelsey patted his chest, "Give it your best, and be humble."
Alexithymiaa: -He rolled his eyes at her remark. "This is going to be a disaster. The issue is that the client never actually knows what they want or what will work. It's just going to waste time and energy to comply with every little request they have only to prove them wrong and that they should have listened to me in the first place." (Truth. Ryan says this shit ALL the time. Comes with working in advertising.)
Covet: Kelsey put her finger on his lips again, "I didn't ask what the issues were, or what your complaints are. I'm telling you how you're to conduct yourself, regardless if any of that happens. Prove to me you can." She said looking at him intently, letting her finger drop.

Alexithymiaa: "Fine..." He mumbled as he watched her, the corners of his mouth turning up into a small smirk. "Do I get anything for being such a well behaved boy?"-
Covet: She looked at him, and raised her eyebrows, "I'm not making any promises until after it's finished. But I'll be fair and tell you that a reward is possible. Consider it an incentive." Kelsey said looking at his smirk, "Until then, Make your phone call, then get over here to the bed." She didn't change her tone through any of what she said, keeping it even and calm. Turning away from him she walked over to his bed and leaned over to start taking her shoes off.

Alexithymiaa: -He accepted her words as fact despite her flat out saying there was no guarantee, turning and walking over to his desk to pick up his phone. He redialed the number and put the phone to his ear, turning to watch Kelsey begin to get ready for bed. "Yeah, hey. So I can make the video work for five thousand. Don't worry about anything else. Just let them know and email me the details."-
Covet: While Bradley was on the phone, she reached up under her dress and slid her panties off, kicking them off to the side, then sat on the edge with one leg crossed over the other. Her dress was slid up towards her hips, while she sat there smiling as he told Steph's record label the good news.
Alexithymiaa: -He watched as she kicked off her panties, making his way across the room to her while he listened on his phone, but he was really only half listening now. "Yeah... uhuh... sounds good." He replied absently, making eyes at Kelsey.-
Covet: Kelsey watched him as he listened on the phone, teasing him by pulling him in close as she spread her legs, then pulled him down to his knees by his pants. Taking his fingers from his free hand she put them in her mouth to suck on them, then pressed them to her self. She spoke softly, "Better wrap it up soon, or they're going to hear nothing but your muffled voice..."
Alexithymiaa: "Yep!" He raised his voice a bit on the phone as he listened to her, desperately trying to end the call. "Great so just all of that? Email it. Yep. Awesome. Okay everything in an email bye." He nearly shouted into the phone, ending the call and letting it drop down onto the floor. He leaned into her quickly, crushing his mouth onto hers.-
Covet: Kelsey smirked as he finished the call then kissed her hard, she allowed him that much for a few moments before she pulled her head back and held his in her hands."How about you put your mouth to something better than complaining for a little bit. It would make me a lot happier." Kelsey told him then laced her fingers into his hair, tugging his head down towards her lap, as she leaned back
Alexithymiaa: -He raised his brows with a bit of a smirk, lowering himself down in front of her. "Well you know I'm all about making you happy." He said with a small laugh before ducking his head down below her skirt and going in for the kill.-
Covet: "Mhhm... Shhh..." She told him as he went the rest of the way, of his own accord, while her hands held him in place by his head. She was going to enjoy this, since he was more than happy to listen to her. Fully intending to make him work for it until she was exhausted to the point of wanting to fall asleep without giving him any. It was in that same moment she decided she was going to tease him all week until Thursday, and not give him anything until then.
