  1. *While Artemis isn't seen as often anymore ever since her nerf she's stil very strong. Her earlygame is somewhat weak compare to other ADCs as her laneclear has a pretty low damage/manacost ratio but she makes up for it lategame
  2. where she has crazy boxing potential due to her passive and her 2. The boar is amazing for teamfights and allows her to remain mobile.*

  4. #Building
  5.
  6. ##General
  7.
  8. For builds, check [this page](http://www.grappul.com). While building in Smite is very situational, grappul offers a nice basic build that off of which
  9. you can base your own, optimized build. If you want me to go into details on a certain item / on all of them simply say so and I will.
  10.
  11. ##Useful items
  12.
  13. Personally I'd recommend the crit build on Artemis. Your passive acts as a second rage in that it increase your crit chance on successive hits.
  14. While there's still some RNG to it (there always is with crit) the crit build is a lot more consistent on Artemis than it is on other Gods. There's plenty
  15. of threads that explain the crit build in detail so I wont bother doing so here but if you want more detail you can check [this thread](http://www.reddit.com/r/aviak/comments/2htfb8/standard_builds/)
  16. which I wrote a while back.

  18. #Skills
  19.
  20. ##Skilling
  21. Keep in mind that everyone has their own preferences and that the "best" way to skill is the one that best suits your playstyle. There are, however, some basic guidelines that are worth following, which are what I'll try to list below.
  22. ###Priority
  23.
  24. 3>2>4>1 / 2>3>4>1
  25.
  26. Personally, I like to max my 3 first. Artemis has a pretty bad clear (same manacost as Apollo's "So Beautiful", yet 20 less base dmg at max rank and half the scaling)
  27. so I usually find myself falling behind a lot if I max my 2 instead. It's really up to you though and depends on how well you play her.
  28.
  29. ###First five levels
  30.
  31. 3->2->3->1->4
  32.
  33. ###General
  34.
  35. Don't skill until the very second that you're going to use it. Keep your skillpoint ready incase the enemy tries to invade / your team needs you. Be ready to put a point in your escape ability if you need to get out quick: it's better to
  36. lose out on a little bit of earlygame power instead of giving away first blood.
  37.
  38. ##Still Target
  39.
  40. A wonderful passive for an ADC. This makes you a monster lategame, allowing you to consistently 3-4 shot enemies. It basicly works like rage's passive; it gives you
  41. additional crit chance on each successful hit.
  42.
  43. ##Transgressors Fate
  44.
  45. This skill roots and cripples enemies. Good to land follow up hits / block off certain entrances.
  46.
  47. ##Vengeful Assault
  48.
  49. Your lategame bread and butter. The 75% Atk speed increase is beyond amazing. The movementspeed also helps with your mobility, as you have no other escape.
  50.
  51. ##Suppress the Insolent
  52.
  53. This is both your poke aswel as your laneclear. Compared to other laneclears it's not all that great but it does it's job. As with all laneclear abilties; try
  54. to hit as many minions as possible and poke the enemy God at the same time if possible. Keep in mind that the mana cost is pretty high. This skill also applies
  55. a slow.
  56.
  57. ##Calydonian Boar
  58.
  59. A great ult as it allows you to continuously attack them while your ult is doing it's work. It has decent damage and a nice stun. There's combo potential with other skills aswel, for more
  60. check the "tips" section.
  61.
  62. ###Tips
  63.
  64. ###Use your 1 to block off entrances to the jungle
  65.
  66. Your 1 is not only good to keep enemies in lane but also to stopp them from running into the jungle / going back to lane when coming from the jungle. If placed correctly
  67. you can effectively force them to take damage in order to pass through a certain passage. On top of the dmg and root this also tells you where they are.
  68.
  69. ###Cripple
  70.
  71. Your 1 not only roots but also cripples enemies. This means that enemies cannot use their movementskills while they're in it. Use this to your advantage!
  72.
  73. ###Ult -> 1
  74.
  75. A great combo on Artemis is her 4 into 1 combo. If you stun someone with your Boar you can place a trap below them while they're still stunned. This gives you some more time
  76. to kill them and stopps them from using a leap or escape on top of doing some damage itself.
  77.
  78. ###Your 2 gives you movement speed
  79.
  80. Your 2 not only gives you an attack speed buff but also 20% movement speed. Use this: either to chase after enemies, to run from them or to get out of your fountain quicker.
  81.
  82. ###3 -> 2
  83.
  84. I see a lot of people using their 2 and then their 3 in order to apply the slow. This wastes 1-2 seconds of your 2 (which only lasts 5 secs at max level)
  85. and doesn't really give you anything in turn. Your 2 also has a higher CD. The better course of action is using your 3 first and then following it up with your 2.
  86. Not only will you get more out of your 2 but you also wont put 2 skills on CD if you can't hit your 3.
  87.
  88. ###Your ult renders you CC immune
  89.
  90. Your ult is not only a wonderful stun but also gives you CC-immunity. Don't be afraid of using it to escape, you can stun them aswel as giving yourself CC immunity
  91. in order to get away from them. It's also worth keeping in mind if you're in a teamfight: you can save your beads for later if you plan on using your ult. You cannot use it if
  92. you're already stunned however!
