  18. 8) What has motivated you to apply for a staff position on TheArchon? My motivation on the Archon is driven by my previous experience on this server. I have played on the Archon for two or more now and was mostly known on Factions Cyan and Factions Black under the name Neon0108. During my time on Factions Black, I applied for staff and was accepted and pending an interview however prior to my interview a rival faction who was known for ddosing me and also leaking personal information about me sent a clip to staff members which were clearly edited in there favor in order to get me banned. Due to this, I fought day in and day out to get unbanned and finally was when the ban reset occurred. My motivation for staff is simple, I never want a player to go through the wrongdoings as I did on Factions Black.

  20. 9) Have you received any punishments on TheArchon, or any other server? I have been banned on The Archon as stated above falsely in my opinion and also on an HCF server which I and the owners got into a dispute as I was ex-staff and they did not like that I was going to a more successful server and therefore they blacklisted me. Apart from these no, there are no other bans present in my time on Minecraft.

  25. ▶ SECTION C - Questions about your staffing experience

  27. 11) Why should we choose you to become a Helper? Most applicants would be listing off there key qualities and what they bring to the Archon. However, I am going to simplify mine as this truly reflects me on a personal level and truly shows why you should accept me to become a Helper. First of all, I am a long time player of the Archon who has shown dedication to the server and has also helped contribute with ranks, crate keys and also in the community as well to keep it toxic free. The next point I would like to state is that I know the factions community like the back of my hand and have had a lot of experience playing and staffing on a community which will benefit me as a helper. Furthermore my age, due to my age this will help to bring a fine level of maturity to the staff team and will benefit the server compared to if a lesser mature individual was accepted and caused drama and issues within the team. Finally, the last reason you should accept me to become Helper on the Archon is due to the amount of spare time I will have to dedicate to the server. After my final exam on June 19th, I will be finishing college which means I can spend 16+ hours into the server every day of the week which will be a beneficial aspect and contribution to the server and also the team.

  29. 12) In what ways could you positively contribute to the community? Each individual staff member contributes differently to the community. My aim is to fight for what the community wants and to let their voices be heard if there any suggestions which could be beneficial to improve the server my aim is to get them as high as possible and hopefully get them implemented. My next aim is to ensure fairness amongst the community and to make sure no biassed or impartial decisions are made. One example I could use is my prior ban, if this occurs I would carefully analyze the evidence for hours then once I have made my decision I would then ask for further opinions from other staff members before conduction the appropriate punishment or leaving the situation. The final aim I have is to reduce the toxicity in the chat, on Factions Black certain members of the community used to slate other members frequently in the chat and my aim is to be rid of that in the chat and make it less toxic but still with 'banter'.

  31. 13) What experiences do you have with moderating a community or game? I have a lot of previous experience in moderating on Minecraft. These are:

  35. The first server I became staff on was a server called Equinox Network. Equinox was owner by a known factions player called ManAtWar. I first joined Equinox as a server to play when I had nothing to do on the Archon, the server averaged around 200-300 players during its prime on the factions server. I started playing with my friend NemisXS who was good friends with ManAtWar and urged me to apply for staff after the reset. Therefore on map 2 of Equinox 2.0, I applied for staff and was accepted by ManAtWar. I was only staff on Equinox for around 3 months before I decided to leave due with the Head Developer CustomGame due to multiple accounts of staff drama.

  37. Once I left Equinox I and CustomGame decided to open up a new factions server called RazeRah. We worked for around 4 months on the server before releasing it to the public and during our first month, we averaged around a 100 - 150 player base. However, RazeRah was short lived due to other managers on the server giving their alternate accounts star permissions and griefing the server. After the massacre of RazeRah, we decided to abandon the project and return to Equinox

  39. Once Returning to Equinox I took back the role of Moderator and Custom took back the role of the Head Developer. After being staff for a decent amount of time (not sure of the time period), I eventually was promoted up to a Jr. Admin and I and CustomGame were in charge of the next map of Equinox. However ManAtWar and his other developer were lazy and lacked in there jobs, they started playing HCF and once I and CustomGame finished the map they gave up on the server and eventually it was shut down.

  43. After taking a short break from Minecraft I then proceeded the role of staff on a Hardcore Factions Server known as PrimeHCF. I played Prime with a few players from the Archon who at the time were high staff on the server. Around 4 weeks of playing the server I applied for Helper on Prime and I was accepted by TuckMista (The manager at the time). I was staff on PrimeHCF for nearly 7 months and had progressed to Head Moderator and was very close to being promoted to an Admin. However nearing the end of Prime, I and a close friend of mine were entrusted with the roles of Admins to work on the maps and help gain advertisement. This was a large step which lasted around 6 weeks. After this the owner of PrimeHCF, GGNoPotato announced the closure of PrimeHCF and shortly after had announced that PrimeHCF could merge into the OdieGaming staff if they wanted to. All the prime staff then had a meeting and we decided as a group to merge.

  45. Also, I was staff on a server called Hyversal Network. I was accepted by the Manager Payog after playing and helping the staff for a few weeks previously. When I joined I made a lot of good friends within the staff team and it helped me to gain my confidence and also helped me to develope views on different situations. Within a week and a half, I was promoted from a Trial Moderator through the ranks to a Admin. Within this time I had wrote the staff guide and also worked with the managers to reform and restructure the staff team. I resigned a few days after being promoted to Admin due to the stress of college as I had a lot of exams taking up time and I was focusing on Minecraft more than my work.

  49. I was staff on Odie for about 1 and a half months, In that time a lot of the Prime staff had either changed and became aggressive and disrespectful towards me or had left to play other servers. After multiple disputes on OdieGaming with the owner and the Admins, I decided to resign as I felt like I could trust nobody and that everyone had turned their backs on me. Even staff members who I was friends with on Prime had turned their backs on me.

  53. The final server I was staff on was Valux. I was given the position of trainee of the manager ribs and was trainee for approximately a month before being promoted to moderator, for there I became the first moderator to become a member of the leaderboards and also helped to teach many staff members how to screen share and the basics of how to become successful staff member on Valux. Further down the line I then became a member of the CDT and helped to find methods to help the staff team progress and be more successful during screen shares this was a challenge, however, was still a good bit of work to do in my spare time. Following on from this I was given the title of moderator + and the ability to look at appeals and reply to them. This was very challenging as it meant that I had to separate my team staffing between CDT, leaderboards, forums and in-game. Finally, after a lot of hard work and determination, I was given Senior Moderator however by this time my interest in Minecraft had deteriorated and made me decided to leave the server.

  61. 15) If you are denied, do you agree not to argue with the decision of the staff member, and instead take on the responsibility of improving in that area? Explain why this is important. Yes, I do agree. Firstly, if I am denied it is important to keep a level head and not argue with the decision of the staff member. The reason for this is if you argue and defend your points this shows a lack of maturity which can impair the chances of being accepted in later applications. Also, it is important to take feedback and criticism on applications as it helps the individual to progress and also to look out for certain mistakes in the future. It is important for the staff to get the best out of you and show that practice makes perfect.

  63. 16) Do you understand that if you ask a staff member to look at your application, it will be instantly declined? Explain why this is important. If you ask a staff member to look at your application this shows a clear lack of patience and determination. Also as it states to not ask staff members for feedback if the individual does this shows a clear lack of intelligence which is all key aspects to becoming a staff member on a successful server.

  65. 17) If you are accepted but then demoted later on, do you agree to not argue, complain or question further on why you are demoted? Explain why this is important. Yes, I do agree. In regards to the reasons for why this is important is because it is not your position to argue your demotion once the decision is final. A member of the team if demoted should respect the decision made then go off on good terms.
