Read the endings of the two novels and compare:

1. The language & style?
	1. There are more complex words in The Great Gatsby. In The Sun Also Rises it's more causal dialog.
2. The atmosphere?
	1. In The Sun Also Rises somethings actually happen and there are many symbols hidden behind them.
		a. The ending is more open, but still very hopeless when it comes to their future together
	2. In The Great Gatsby it is a narrator telling us the atmosphere
		a. Nick reflects on the time he spend with Gatsby and he realizes that Gatsby lived a hopeless life filled with false hope
3. The message?
	1. "Despite being very different stories, they both illustrate the decadence of the 1920‟s and reflect the same problems: disillusion, corruption and failure."
