  1. Ever since the original Super Mario Maker, you have been able to give Mushrooms to enemies in order to change them. But how about we expand on that idea? What if we could give enemies Fire Flowers as well? Today I’m here to bring up that idea.
  2.
  3. A good amount of these enemies will have drastically different behaviors, some of these enemies will have drastically different designs, and some will change entirely like Hammer Brothers turning into Sledge Brothers!
  4.
  5.
  6. Goomba/Goombrat/Galoomba/Goombud:
  7.
  8.
  9. Koopa Troopas:
  10.
  11.
  12. Cheep Cheeps:
  13. When a Cheep Cheep is given a Fire Flower, it turns into a Lava Cheep Cheep from Super Mario Sunshine. This Cheep Cheep would constantly be on fire, like how normal Cheep Cheeps are in castle stages.
  14. If the Cheep Cheep was green, they would turn pink and swim to the left about 5 tiles off of its horizontal position, before jumping 3 tiles upwards in an arc back to its original position and repeating the same process.
  15. If the Cheep Cheep was red, they would turn purple, and would swim in whatever direction the player is before jumping back to its original position.
  16. In underwater levels, they would act as normal Cheep Cheeps do underwater, except with the fire properties of Cheep Cheeps in castle stages.
  17. In nighttime Underwater and Ghost House stages, Lava Cheep Cheeps would have a very large light around them.
  18. Giving a Lava Cheep Cheep a Mushroom would make it 2x2 tiles big, and giving it wings would cause it to jump up 6 tiles instead of 3.
  19.
  20. Lava Cheep Cheeps would give more options for both underwater and castle stages. It’s unique movement patterns can allow for some tricky platforming when paired with things like seesaws or donut blocks. It’s fire properties can allow for fun setups with Frozen Coins or Bob Ombs.
  21.
  22.
  23. Blooper/Blooper Nanny’s:
  24.
  25.
  26. Spiny:
  27.
  28.
  29. Buzzy Beetle:
  30.
  31.
  32. Spike Top:
  33.
  34.
  35. Piranha Plant:
  36. Giving a Piranha Plant a Fire Flower turns it into a Fire Piranha Plant, an enemy already in the game.
  37.
  38.
  39. Jumping Piranha Plant:
  40.
  41.
  42. Chain Chomp:
  43.
  44.
  45. Monty Mole:
  46.
  47.
  48. Rocky Wrench:
  49.
  50.
  51. Hammer Brother:
  52. Giving a Hammer Brother a Fire Flower turns it into a Fire Brother, an enemy already in the game. This would go across all the different styles however.
  53.
  54. Boo/Boo Buddies:
  55. Giving a Boo a Fire Flower turns it into a Bomb Boo from Super Mario Galaxy. It will sneak up on the player like normal, but when it comes into contact with the player, it explodes! The blast radius is the same as a Bob Ombs, and it’s behaviors when given wings or in the nighttime ground theme are the same as the normal Boo, just with the explosion added in. If the Bomb Boo gets hit with something like a fireball, superball, boomerang, throw shell, or anything of that nature, it will instantly explode among contact.
  56.
  57. Boo Buddies would act in a similar way. Whenever a player comes into contact with one of the Bomb Boos or if one gets hit with something, every Bomb Boo will explode in a clockwise order one by one starting from the one that originally exploded. Their behavior in the nighttime ground theme and when given wings is the same as the normal Boo Buddies.
  58.
  59. Thwomp:
  60.
  61.
  62. Spike:
  63.
  64.

  66.
  67.
  68. Pokey:
  69.

  73.
  74. Fish Bone:
  75.
  76.
  77. Lakitu:
  78.
  79.
  80. Lava Bubble:
  81.
  82.
  83. Magikoopa:
  84.
  85.
  86. Mechakoopa:
  87.
  88.
  89. Muncher:
  90.
  91.
  92. Wiggler:
  93.
  94.
  95. Angry Sun:
  96. Giving the Angry Sun a Fire Flower will turn it into a Fireball Sun, an enemy original to Super Mario Maker. Instead of swooping down of the player, the Fireball Sun will shoot fireballs down to wherever the player is currently positioned. This behavior references the Angry Suns behaviors on the Desert Hills track in the Mario Kart series.
  97.
  98. Koopa Clown Car:
  99. Giving a Fire Flower to the Koopa Clown Car would turn it into a Fire Koopa Clown Car, an item already in the game.
  100.
  101. Shoe Goomba:
  102.
  103.
  104. Bowser:

  109.
  110. Boom Boom:
  111.
  112.
  113. Roy:
  114.
  115.
  116. Ludwig:
  117.
  118.
  119. Lemmy:
  120.
  121.
  122. Larry:
  123. When Larry is given a Fire Flower, he will turn into Fire Larry, a completely new form. This new form comes with a new color pallet. Larrys hair and star tattoo turn red while the green part of his head and the blue parts of his shell turn white.
  124.
  125. In terms of gameplay, instead of the normal magic blasts Larry shoots, he will shoot out rolling fireballs. The concept of Larry firing fireballs instead of magic blasts is a homage to Larry’s boss fight from Super Mario World.
  126.
  127. These fireballs are very similar to Spike Balls with a few notable differences. The player cannot jump on them, wether using a traditional spin jump or a mount. They would have fire properties, meaning they would ignite Bob Ombs and melt Frozen Coins. They also would not have any collision with enemies, simply going right through them.
  128.
  129. This form would open up new possibilities for boss fights. Wether it’s avoiding Fire Larry’s fireballs while fighting something else or battling Fire Larry directly.
  130.
  131. Wendy:
  132.
  133.
  134. Morton:
