  1. Refer to this thread for an explanation on the rules of the NG+ run: http://www.speedrun.com/twewy/thread/h3avh
  2.
  3. This pastebin details a few notes on NG+ including the build, but this route and run are still very new and there may be faster ways to do it.

  7. ==================================================
  8. *** PIN DECKS ***
  9. ==================================================
  10.
  11. DECK 1 - MAIN
  12.
  13. This is the main deck that will be used for combat. It takes a bit of time to set it up, but I'll detail how to get every pin. Also note that they should all preferably be mastered, for max damage output.
  14. This also needs all 6 pin slots, you have to buy both extra slots in EDOGA THE SHOP (104) and DRAGON COUTURE (Shikukyu).
  15.
  16. ** 2x [One Stroke, Vast Wealth] **
  17. These are the evolved form of the main attack pin in Any%, [One Stone, Many Birds]. They have more attack and double the uses, so it let's this build fire these Burst Rounds pins non-stop. To get these pins, buy two [One Stone, Many Birds] from DRAGON COUTURE (Shibukyu) and evolve them through SDPP (using the day change trick of course).
  18.
  19. ** [Ice Risers] ** (subslot)
  20. Evolved form of [Ice Blow], has more attack and covers more ground with 3 pillars rising one after another. [Ice Blow] is a very useful pin for its launching ability that can interrupt enemy movement and attacks, and [Ice Risers] does the same job slightly better. To get it, buy an [Ice Blow] from any D+B shop and evolve it through SDPP.
  21.
  22. ** [Anguis] ** (subslot)
  23. This pin is borderline allowed by the rules, but it CAN be obtained in NG. It drops on Hard difficulty from Anguis Cantus, the second to last boss in the game, with a very low drop rate of 0.11%. You can farm this boss in W3D7, defeat Tigris Cantus and you'll find the blue noise for Anguis Cantus right after the bridge; lower your level, do a chain with the boss and retry until you get it.
  24. [Anguis] is a pretty amazing pin, with a disgusting 999 base attack at max level; too bad this last level takes a while to get, but doing this run with a non-max level [Anguis] isn't that much slower. [Anguis] shoots a screen-wide, piercing laser, that paired with puck will basically one-shot almost all enemies and deal huge damage to all bosses. Its only downside is that it can only be used once per battle/chain, however...
  25.
  26. ** [Her Royal Highness] **
  27. HRH for short. Can be obtained as a Normal difficulty drop from Goth Metal Drake, a blue noise in W3D5 located in DOGENZAKA, near SHADOW RAMEN; it's actually quite easy to get, as it has a (relatively) high drop rate of 3%. HRH increases the uses/time limits of every pin in the deck by 30%, so it immediately makes a deck better.
  28. In our case, HRH does 2 amazing things: first, it gives enough uses to our [One Stroke, Vast Wealth]s to make it possible to just hold down the attack, use a full pin, and use the other one completely right before the other finishes rebooting, effectively making it a non-stop barrage of doom; second, it makes both 1-use pins in the deck ([Ice Risers] and [Anguis]) have two uses. This second effect of HRH is massive, as having two uses for [Anguis] makes the insane damage burst reusable. In other words, most fights can be done by just getting puck to Neku, and then using both [Anguis] shots.
  29.
  30. ** [Peace Full] **
  31. Just to round up the deck, having a healing pin is always good and you can still pass puck with it. This sixth slot can be used for any other pin in reality, but I'd recommend this one.
  32. This pin is essentially [Cure Drink], but with 5 uses instead of 3. It drops from the week 3 kangaroos on Easy, the easiest place to find them is during the Kariya quest in W3D4. Get it to max level via SDPP, as it evolves from BPP.
  33.
  34. Changes to this deck during the route:
  35. - In W1D6, change [Peace Full] to [Red Skull] for the mission of that day.
  36. - In W2D7, when inside Pork City, change one of the [One Stroke, Vast Wealth]s to [Tin Pin Custom]. Same psych, but unbranded, will give you a way to pass puck other than [Anguis]. REMEMBER TO CHANGE BACK TO [One Stroke, Vast Wealth] BEFORE ENTERING THE MINAMIMOTO FIGHT
  37. - In the final day, after defeating Kitaniji, change [Ice Risers] to [Lightning Rook] (preferably mastered and on a subslot). This is a normal Any% strat for Draco Cantus, which is way more effective than trying to do the fight with only [One Stroke, Vast Wealth]. There may be more pins to change and make the last fight better, but at this point this is the only good strat.
  38.
  39.
  40. DECK 2 - TIN PIN
  41.
  42. Switch to this deck before entering a Tin Pin battle. There are three on the route: two in W2D2, in the Tin Pin tournament in Molco as part of the story, and one in W2D5 as a Reaper mission in MIYASHITA UNDERPASS. You're never required to win at Tin Pin, so when it starts you can just go down and self-destruct to end it. So basically...
  43.
  44. ** Literally anything **
  45. Equip one pin, anything goes. I go for [1 yen] for the meme but literally anything works.
  46.
  47.
  48. DECK 3 - NATURAL PUPPY
  49.
  50. This deck is used to get past the Natural Puppy wall in W2D3. In an Any% run you'd get any combination of Natural Puppy pins and unbranded pins, but with time to prepare you can get any good combination of those. There isn't really a fixed deck here, just try to have at least 3 Natural Puppy pins. MAKE SURE NONE OF YOUR CHOSEN PINS ARE IN THE BANNED ITEMS LIST!
  51.
  52.
  53. DECK 4 - D+B
  54.
  55. Same as deck 3, but with D+B instead of Natural Puppy.
  56.
  57.
  58.
  59. ==================================================
  60. *** WALL ITEMS ***
  61. ==================================================
  62.
  63. Pins and items you should have before starting the run, and the walls you need them for:
  64. - 2x [1000 yen] (W1D4 Scramble Crossing)
  65. - 5x [500 yen] (W1D4 Dept Store)
  66. - 3x [Rare Metal] (W1D6 Center St)
  67. - A level 3+ [Murasame] (W1D6 Molco)
  68. - 1x [Pop Pendulum] (W2D3 Miyashita Underpass)
  69. - 1x [Sexy +] (W2D4 Center St)
  70. - 1x [Shio Ramen] from Ramen Don in Dogenzaka (W2D5 Dept Store)
  71.
  72.
  73.
  74. ==================================================
  75. *** EQUIPMENT ***
  76. ==================================================
  77.
  78. This part is probably the most unexplored in the route and could be better, but the builds detailed here are good enough for the run.
  79.
  80. NEKU
  81.
  82. Neku needs to have as much attack as possible, as well as contribute to the puck build. The Any% route does a great job with this, so we'll be using that build with a slight change:
  83. MINIMUM BRV: 75
  84. - [Pi-Face's Cap]: Found in the main story, in W3D7.
  85. Go to WildKat with it to unlock its ability. +20 ATK and +25 DEF, one of the best NG items for sure.
  86. - [Patchy Biker Jacket]: Unlockable Quest item in TIGRE PUNKS inside MOLCO.
  87. May take a little time to get, but compared to the normal [Biker Jacket] that's used in Any% it gives +21 ATK instead of just +15
  88. - [Purple Sneaks]: Sold at TIGRE PUNKS in MOLCO.
  89. Make sure to unlock its ability inside the same shop! Makes the puck travel very fast.
  90. - [Naraka]: Sold at JUPITER OF THE MONKEY in CAT STREET.
  91. Make sure to unlock its ability inside the same shop! Makes the puck start with a higher multiplier.
  92.
  93. PARTNERS
  94.
  95. All partners can share the same build, as it's just meant to amplify the puck:
  96. MINIMUM BRV: 32
  97. - [Purple Sneaks]: See above.
  98. - [Naraka]: See above.
  99. - [Brown Baby Tee]: Sold at any MUS RATTUS shop.
  100. Unlock its ability at MUS RATTUS IV, in SHIBUKYU MAIN STORE. Makes the combo panel shorter, making the frequency of finished combos higher.
  101. - [Green Warm-ups]: Sold at any MUS RATTUS shop.
  102. Unlock its ability at MUS RATTUS III, in CADOI CITY. Makes the puck travel slightly faster.
  103.
  104. EXTRA BUILDS
  105.
  106. You should have equipment for all slots in the following brands:
  107. - NATURAL PUPPY for both Neku and Joshua for the W2D3 mission. These can be bought at LE GRAND, in CADOI CITY.
  108. - D+B for both Neku and Joshua for the W2D5 mission. These can be bought at the D+B shops in 104 and MOLCO.
  109. - MUS RATTUS for Neku for the W2D5 mission.
  110.
  111.
  112.
  113. ==================================================
  114. *** OTHER PREPARATIONS ***
  115. ==================================================
  116.
  117. - Go to W2D5 and go up to the Reaper that challenges you to a Tin Pin battle, and lose. This will give you a Secret Report item, and make it so you don't get the same cutscene again.
  118. - Have some food ready for sync rate. I'd recommend the [House Blend] and [Bouillabese] from WildKat. There isn't really an exact food route, but try to have 100% with all partners before starting and try to feed at least during week 3, because you're very likely to have low sync for some bosses.
  119. - Having all level 3 fusions isn't really required, but having at least Shiki's level 2 and Joshua's level 3 can be good for some boss fights.
  120.
  121.
  122.
  123.
  124. ==================================================
  125. *** ROUTE ***

  261. -Phase 1: Keep your attention on Beat and try to damage her as much as possible.
  262. As Neku, focus on attacking the Noise that appear to pass the puck, and be sure to defeat any non-Taboo Noise before they reach the vortex or the boss will heal.
  263. -Phase 2: You'll see the bosses position on the lower screen, use that to know where to attack instead of spamming directions.
  264. When Beat finishes a combo, hit her immediately with Neku.
  265. This phase ends when the yellow bar is depleted, and all your pins will be taken away, heal before this happens.
  266. -Phase 3: Just stay on her shadow as much as possible with Neku, and spam combos with Beat.
  267. -Phase 4: She actually starts this phase on a specific position, if you spam touch right below the bottom of the boss's life bar you can hit her.
  268. After that, go in the opposite direction of your shadow to find her, hit her, combo with Beat and repeat until she dies.)
  269.
  270. Keep going E, examine heap, Room of Reckoning, N talk, Kitaniji (hit him with [Ice Risers] to interrupt timestop, try to hit puck Anguis)
  271. Equip Lightning Rook, scan and enter door, go E, any option, Anguis Cantus (find body and hit to lower head, 5x Anguis, recharges between phases)
  272. Draco Cantus (stand below E head and hit 3 heads with Lightning Rook, use anything other while rebooting, remember partners)
  273. Credits
  274. The end
