  1. And now, the Adnyl arrived to another human settlement. Or at the very least, what she had thought of to be from afar. She amazingly for plot reasons did not sight of New Alteros just northeast of the Cinderfall, but further southeast instead, and stumbled upon what from afar was a large, towering structure; a human castle.
  2.
  3. But as she flew closer and closer, she could see of the structure very much covered in lush moss, and the beings below were not human, but gargantrum grubs. Even more horridly, the moment of which the Ventus Kaor stepped down to the grounds, she was met with utter hostility. The trees, bushes, flowers, grass, seemingly sentient, sent lashes of viney whips towards of her form.
  4.
  5. Repelling of the Kaor to maintain herself mid-air in flight. What was this area?
  6. (Adnyl)
  7. In a flash of lightning from the tornado Vivica created to escape Brenton, the woman reappeared just within the cave between Cinderfall and the Whispering Willows! Another flash and the woman went further in, fleeing upon a cloud she made as she ran weakly, stumbling over at times before she managed to sit and go.
  8.
  9. She panted, she was tired and weak. The willows were extremely dangerous. Bugs of all sorts were hostile towards another being, but what? She flew closer, higher up than the kaor she had spotted, but was this the time to pursue such a being when she nearly killed herself?
  10.
  11. Knots grew in the woman's stomach, but she neared with narrow eyes, watching the ventus in flight to avoid the vine attacks sent towards it from the large bug like insects below.
  12.
  13. "What the hell are those?" She spoke softly, weakly, and to herself. This had been the same kaor she meant to pursue all of those months back, and now here it was within flight just below her; would she attack?
  14.
  15. Hell no, she barely had strength to help herself run. "What are you doing, Kaor?" She spoke aloud and in a firm tone of voice. She came to drift downward, unhostile towards it, but she questioned it either way. "This is probably the last place I'd think to see one of your kind, then again.. yokai are everywhere." She stated in a blunt tone now, yet calm as she was.
  16.
  17. She just attempted to kill herself, why was she the way she was now? It was something she needed to get out, but she couldn't show true emotion to a yokai. Afterall, they take advantage of weaker beings. But was she weaker? Most likely not.
  18. (Vivica Loirdne)
  19. "Likewise to -you-, humanoid......" The Kaor was surely the one with the more-r of questions.
  20.
  21. She was not the one whom knew of these areas, and perhaps Vivica was one to know. Why the structure was lush with moss, cracked, with holes and rocks fallen apart. And further up front, she too could witness the utter destruction of ripped houses and structures, consumed by nature to the point of unrecognition.
  22.
  23. A castle of ruins, a lost kingdom. Such was not an area that humans could live in, but neither did the Adnyl detect any sense of Yokai mana in the vast area. And now a human was afloat in the air, Magi she was, beside of the Kaor herself.
  24.
  25. "This, too, is the last area of which I would expect a humanoid to inhabit, or to visit."
  26. (Adnyl)
  27. "I don't live here, yokai." She stated in a blunt tone before looking down towards the grubs below that writhed and longed for the two floating masses to come down and attack.
  28.
  29. And from them, her eyes looked throughout the moss covered, destroyed buildings. Whatever used to be here obviously was in shambles from years ago, likely longer.
  30.
  31. "Mm, what an interesting place. Interesting from the air." Vivica's voice was a bit raspy, loud, and blunt now. Louder than before as she spoke out indirectly towards the yokai as her silver hues scanned the surroundings.
  32.
  33. "What's a yokai like you doing out here anyways? Hiding? Cowering from us 'humanoids'?" A brow was raised as she gave a glance to the ventus. Normally the young woman would attack, but at this very moment, she couldn't manage to stand for very long.
  34. (Vivica Loirdne)
  35. With even the cobblestone streets nearly completely buried under vines, nearly hidden and whatnot, surely this dated back to a single century at the least. "Neither do I."
  36.
  37. This humanoid was not equipped with much energy, the Ventus Kaor noted. She like the few humanoids encountered, did not fear instantly of the presence of the Kaor. Most often, they were backed with strength, Magi as they were. This one was lacking in the 'sheer human will' that was confidence.
  38.
  39. She deemed to be harshful, but it felt unauthentic. It was clear to even Adnyl, that this humanoid was weak, or had been weakened. Aloof? "Exploring."
  40.
  41. It was the signature move for the Ventus Kaor, to regulate the flow of the winds of the area, and she would do so and direct them away from within her radius. Thus, where she floated upon and twelve feet beyond, there was not a single passing breeze to come by. More or less, quieter.
  42.
  43. "What of you? Are you hiding? Cowering from other humanoids? To be this far from a working settlement."
  44. (Adnyl)
  45. "Great." That had been Vivica's only remark towards the statement on 'exploring.' Though when she herself was questioned about what she was doing out here?
  46.
  47. "This isn't far off from Cinderfall, kaor." Silver eyes lurked upward to the kaor's own. By then, the blood from her arms had been cleansed away, leaving nothing behind to show what she had done.
  48.
  49. "I'm here out of curiosity. Not to hide nor cower like your kind would." It was a lie, but she didn't give away that it had been. Her voice remained ever cold. Chilling winds breezed around her form gently.
  50.
  51. Maybe the ruins were too far off she her use of teleportation shortened the sight or the distance of travel given it was much quicker than any other transportation she had done to get in the pond just before the opening of the caves towards the western area.
  52.
  53. "There doesn't seem to be much of anything here besides a yokai who shouldn't be alive." Again her tone was cold, but much more chilling and wicked than before. Th woman's scythe was visible, sharp, and she could handle it at any moment. Even if she was weak, she'd fight this yokai, because that's who she was.
  54.
  55. "I'm a Yokai Huntress. Famous within the lands of Cinderfall." She began again, her tone full of the confidence she had. "I'm not afraid of you either." She was beginning to grow hostile towards the being -- what would it do?
  56. (Vivica Loirdne)
  57. "Hm."
  58.
  59. The humanoid claimed to be a Yokai Huntress from the settlement that was Cinderfall, her hometown of which the Adnyl had just now sighted and visited. She was indeed as cold as Ciel Loirdne whom she had encountered. But this one, although not claiming of destruction-prone as the middle aged man had done, was offense focused whereas the irony for the Ciel - he was defense geared.
  60.
  61. He cared not of species, merely the settlement of people whom contributed to his perhaps personal goal. Whereas this huntress was geared to hunt solely Yokai. Such was already a stark difference! Perhaps to the humans, hunting was not of food but of hobby. This one seemed to have interest in making a trophy out of the Ventus Kaor Yokai, of which was growing.
  62.
  63. In reaction to this, the Kaor too did the same, though was the one whom first drew forth their weapon. A large blade conjured forth seemingly in mid-air, grasped by the right hand of the Yokai. It was highly unnecessary to engage in a battle! Such was the reason as to why the Adnyl reserved so for those whom antagonise of her, or declaring of themselves to be a threat to her being, in the present or the future.
  64.
  65. "Then I have a new purpose here." This was one such case.
  66. (Adnyl)
  67. Hostility showcased between the both of them. Their beings tensed, the kaor's weapon was drawn forth, but Vivica had backed away, not out of fear, but to prepare swiftly!
  68.
  69. The woman's eyes closed and in a matter of seconds, the door was seen, the knob turned and pulled open. Swiftly the young woman brought forth the elemental friend she had summoned before with the incident of the dragon in Cinderfall, but the difference?
  70.
  71. This young elemental was growing. From a one footed mist form with lightning, to now a taller, less translucent being. Approximately two feet tall, maybe an inch or so less, now floated from her hand and to her side. Lighting surged through its very as did Vivica's own lightning magic.
  72.
  73. "As so I. Your chances of escape are slim to none." She spoke in a vile, hissing voice. The woman's scythe was drawn. She collected energy from the little elemental. Not a lot, but enough to help her in battle. Struggling to rise, she gained her posture atop the cloud. Rain began to fall. Her disposition now had shown a calm state.
  74.
  75. Winds grew from the ground to envelope her within, drawing in the power of water and lighting. She was prepared. Though the amount of power she was drawing forth made her already tired. But no- she couldn't be bested, even if she felt weak from her actions prior to this meet.
  76. (Vivica Loirdne)
  77. This was one of the many magical capabilities of which the Adnyl had yet to see, the skills of the humans.
  78.
  79. A storm was brewed, a mixture of water and lightning upon the skies above, pouring alongside fair gales. Reacting to so, the Kaor would release the winds of her own self, immediately surrounding of her form with thick and powerful buffeting hurricanes.
  80.
  81. "Neither shall you."
  82.
  83. With the Ventus Kaor being in deeper, more masterful controls of her wind arcanes than the human, it was unsurprising that even the trees below were struck with strong gales, threatened to be uproated as well. The Willows of course reacted to the sudden violent magical crash to be with their own horridly thorny, limb tearing capable vine shots, inviting themselves too into the battles.
  84.
  85. The Kaor had once only sought to exile humanoids at most, but already had she learnt of her mistakes, her faulty errors of letting them live and giving them the potential to rise again. For the humans whom threatened or antagonised of her, it instead now meant absolute death.
  86.
  87. And thus, with not even of wings but merely through the pushing force from her absolute wind, at fifty miles per hour, the Ventus Kaor charged right towards the Storm Magi.

  99. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: Go!)
  100. "Niall, let's go!" She exclaimed to the growing elemental at her side. Their lightning surged throughout each other's own bodies. The power gained from the elemental had been significantly more than it was when she fought the dragon with Cinderfall's army.
  101.
  102. The kaor's expected charge allowed for the young storm mage to teleport across the ruins to avoid the attack. Striking with lighting, her powerful attacks hit nearly each time. Shards of ice from the chilling winds and water magic she conjured were formed and in another flash of lightning, the young woman found herself before the kaor, piercing its skin with the shards to buffet its movements.
  103.
  104. She was here to deal damage and destroy this kaor's life permanently. More winds buffets and cut into the kaor's flesh and to finish it, a hydropump of water was sent forward through her winds and an even smaller one from the elemental, both striking Adnyl and pushing the yokai back.
  105.
  106. Blood dripped from the kaor's very being. The young woman panted heavily. Her vision blurred, it was strange, but not a surprise. Her sudden lack of energy caused for winds to lessen in height and size, but she wasn't going to stop now.
  107.
  108. There was no escaping the clutches of the young Loirdne who sat proud upon her cloud. Rain fell from the sky, drawn in to the whirlwinds as was lightning magic.
  109. (Vivica Loirdne)
  110. The humanoid was significantly more powerful than expected!
  111.
  112. Still, the Kaor made sure of to keep herself in and out of range, be mindful of her mana output and waste, be aware of the vines down below, her speed and whatnot. A tactical battle, if you will. She was done of with battling likewise to an inferior Giga Yokai of no tactics whatsoever, merely moving forward and attempting to strike.
  113.
  114. No, the Ventus Kaor did more than so. She'd time for when she'd send of her winds to buffet the form of Vivica, to cut upon her when she grew close, to slash of her dependant on vertical and or horizonal, skills...... Yet, such was not enough.
  115.
  116. The pure strength of the although weakened Storm Magi was appeared to be much higher than the Kaor's? Or perhaps, it was her experience as a Yokai Huntress! Or perhaps both. It was either way very determined that the Adnyl was not fairing well against the humanoid, struck with both electrified and water amplified windy cuts and impaled in multiple areas by shards of ice.
  117.
  118. No words exchanged, for this was of a full scale battle, in which determined both participants' end result of life.

  131. Cuts marked along her skin, but this time she hadn't been the one dealing the damage of course. Vivica's swift movements along the field were useful in avoiding some of the yokai's attacks, but due to the lowered vitality she had from before and fatigued state, the young woman took more damage.
  132.
  133. She took a risk and ran along the ground, but stumbled many times, allowing for open attacks by the ventus. Vivica teleported across the field many times. Away to avoid damages or coming close to the kaor's body to deal more damage with her magics.
  134.
  135. The elemental itself took the initiative to mimic her attacks! Beams of water were shot towards the kaor, but they had been lesser versions than the one she could summon! Afterall, it was young, it was growing, learning, and experiencing!
  136.
  137. Some and more of her magics were copied by the little elemental, but the damage it dealt was minimum compared to her own. One final attack after buffeting the Adnyl's movements had done it for the win against it.
  138.
  139. A blast of water powerful enough to shred skin had pushed back the kaor once more, but due to her own fatigued state, she herself allowed her own magic to affect her! Vivica found herself upon the ground, surrounded by cut up, fallen grubs. Albeit, the young woman gripped her scythe and with as much stamina that she could muster, she began to run, stumbling, however, towards the kaor -- but, could it run? Could it flee from the fatigued and damaged woman?
  140. (Vivica Loirdne)
  141. [22:38:43] Vastly, the Adnyl had been overpowered.
  142.
  143. The Kaor was overwhelmed with stormy hurricanes, ballistic icicles, thunderous bolts and high pressure, skin piercing jets of water. Despite all her tactics of maintaining long range, despite all the tremendous speed, the hundreds of rapid slashing and relentless, pushing winds, she was pushed back, was damaged, whereas the Vivica was less so damaged, more so tired, and pre-battle as well!
  144.
  145. It was a personal disgrace for the Kaor to lose to yet another humanoid, and she had had it. What gave humans their strength? What did they devour?... More and more did she not understand, but realise the reasons as to why Yokai kind had not already dominated the country.
  146.
  147. For the rest of the puzzle pieces, she would have to find for herself. She would obtain time aplenty, for the water blast would have sent her form tumbling into the seas, carried by the waves away, and for some whiles sunken downwards!
  148.
  149. The defeated Kaor, with little mana to spare but not the amount to pull combative feats that could push the Vivica, would now drift.
  150. (Adnyl)
  151. [22:38:43] Adnyl: <*running no need*>
  152. [22:44:41] A force of wind knocked the woman back towards the ground roughly. The kaor had disappeared in the depths of the sea before her, but in her state, she wouldn't pursue it any longer.
  153.
  154. "How could I let it get away! Damn it! Next time, Ventus, I'll have your head to take home with me." The young woman stated in a cold tone of voice. With the little ounce of energy and mana she could use to create a new cloud, she crawled on it from the ground.
  155.
  156. Away she went from the Willows and towards the North, but to Cinderfall? No. Throughout her passage, however, she'd find a place to rest up and heal. Vivica was without supplies, so she'd have to figure out how to keep up the energy for herself.
  157.
  158. She wouldn't be returning to Cinderfall anytime soon. She had plans to go elsewhere. After her encounter with Brenton and nearly killing herself, she wasn't going to turn back towards Cinderfall. At least, not for now. Give it a few months, and she'd likely return to the city, but for now, she needed a peace elsewhere.
  159.
  160. And elsewhere she would travel through the skies towards.
  161. (Vivica Loirdne)
