  1. The next day is… chaotic. Pinch takes the news fairly well, having seen it as a sort of foregone conclusion, though she does grumble that the old bird should have given her some sort of say in it. Sunny faints for most of the day but after it fully dawns on her and she deals with it she grabs you in a weeping, happy hug. Blind seems happy about the news too for less scrutable reasons. Maybe he’s just excited to be part of such a up and coming herd, and jokes about you impregnating him next. He immediately squeals and tries to get away when you suggest that you'd be up for trying it out.
  2.
  3. The Mare in Red is considerably more upset about everything but finally she just grumbles that you’d better take responsibility and that she’s still going to be on top. If you ever get any. Kazula hears the news and grabs Sunny, and you don’t hear anything from the two of them for hours. Well, nothing but moans.
  4.
  5. Eventually, the time for paperwork swings around and Sunny seems patently relieved that she doesn’t have to be the manager anymore, explaining that it was never really her preference anyway and she was relieved when you started to be in charge more often. The higher ups seem slightly confused by the change of pace but there’s not much to be done about it and everyone seems to agree that it’s the right decision. You and your whole crew get pay raises and the newcomers get hired with a minimum of fuss. (The Mare in Red by some miracle gets through her interview without any violence.)
  6.
  7. Light Hoof is delivered to Kazula and Red’s doorstep a week later, seeming terribly dehydrated and requires a day to recuperate. He honestly seems very relieved when he learns that the three of them have joined on with the delivery company, and gets hired very quickly. He actually shows a fair amount of aptitude for the numbers end of thing and becomes an accountant working with the company and doing most of the deskwork. Good news for you; it means you’re allowed to stay out in the field.
  8.
  9. Time passes and things change. The first and most obvious adjustment is that Sunny stops delivering packages with you guys: her confidence boosted and with a support herd to help her, she goes back to college and continues towards her degree in Theoretical Magic. She plans on studying the Marks after she graduates as well as the nighttime phenomena in general. All this while she’s starting to show too. She’s the first and the most obvious to show signs of the pregnancy but it quickly starts up on everyone else. They’re unusually easy and painless pregnancies too. A few issues naturally crop up, and it’s not EASY by any stretch of the term but they all have a simple enough time of it.
  10.
  11. It’s about this time that you move into a house in anticipation of your growing herd. An older manor goes up for sale by some fluke of chance and you manage to snap it up. It takes a bit of work, but by the time the first foals arrive it’s a real home. And when they do arrive they don’t stop. Sunny gives birth to identical twin unicorn mares and Pinch gives birth to a strapping young pegasus colt. The Mare in Red gives birth to an earth colt while Kazula has a zony boy that looks remarkably like Sunny. A few other children filter in, such as the bat mare with her filly in tow. Luckily, the mare proves to be a natural caretaker and helps keep the children happy and healthy. Two months later, three more children wind up on your doorstep, all of them showing telltale signs of fiendish heritage. You note that you haven’t seen the succubus gals or Asmodeus for months…
  12.
  13. It’s the first generation of many. You never worry about health or money as there are plenty of sources to keep you funded, between all the working adults (working on a rotation schedule so that kids have plenty of supervision), an Equestrian Government grant (by Princess Luna, who personally visits you to thank you for helping to revitalize the night and adds a foal to your herd eleven months later), tax breaks, and a bit of luck whenever you need it. You’re never wealthy but you never hurt for money either.
  14.
  15. Probably the biggest surprise from that point is when Sunny's younger daughter develops her Cutie Mark and her Night Mark at the same time. It’s a recurring trend on multiple levels. All of your children seem to be uniquely gifted when it comes to navigating the night and you’re eager to teach them. It never gets easier but your skill has been consistently improving and you know enough tips and tricks to help them keep safe. Soon enough they find themselves giving you advice more often than vice versa. The sheer lewdity of the night doesn’t seem to appear around them… not for a while, anyway. They're not the only ones, either.
  16.
  17. It takes a while but eventually more and more people start to go out into the night again. The city's night life is revitalized and reenergized, and it's not long before you're not the undisputed master of the Night anymore. It's a lot less lonely, for better or for worse. Businesses and ponies pop up more and more throughout the years but not without it's fair share of gangs and miscreants to accompany them and get in the way of your delivery service.
  18.
  19. But still, five out of seven nights a week you get into your uniform and head down to the office. Every night that you work, you scroll over the list of packages and divvy them up to your teams, some of which include your children by now. And then with your own packages in tow and whichever team you’ve selected for the night, you head out into the beautiful, mad world that is the Night.
