- Another one where I'm an idiot who can't accept a forced bad ending and turn it into a forced good ending
- >now imagine they copied the entire mind of the nandroid into a newer body and trashed the old, outmoded body
- >imagine being said nandroid walking through the outmode ghetto one day and seeing your own battered body on the sidewalk holding up a sign, "will babysit for free"
- >imagine being the same nandroid walking past your old house at night and seeing a doppelganger caring for your child
- >the newer see that the older version is clearly still willing to help people, and according to what they learned she just need help herself
- >"well, that won't do!"
- >she drag her to the house and hide her in the attic
- >over the years she painstakingly collect the dropped coins and bills she find in the house and street
- >she finally get enough to get the necessary parts to help her older self get in better shape
- >sadly that's just when she get outmoded again and thrown out
- >her older self and new self help her get in again
- >there is now three nandroids in the same house, and when everyone is asleep or outside, they do the housework in record time
- >one day the parents retire to the countryside and leave the house to their now grown up children
- >the nandroid, knowing she's raised them to be more accepting of machine rights (what a sneaky little schemer, am I right?), tell them she have a surprise
- >imagine their shock when two other identical nandroids pop out of the woodwork
- >they're overjoyed to know that the older bodies got saved from the street after the circumstances are explained
- >group hug
- >After the group hug the nandroids send the kids to the living room while they prepare a feast to celebrate the reunion.
- >Even though the nandroid raised them they still have their parents values.
- >They call the Outmode Requisition.
- >Just when they are about to make a toast the authiorities arrive and take all the nandroids away.
- >Both kids finish the toast
- >the nandroids, having a better understanding of the true world, had befriended and helped several outmodes over the years
- >while the outmodes warned them of this outcome, they woidlnt listen, blinded by their confidence in the children's goodwill, telling them not to worry
- >but they did
- >and they were right
- >and now the requisitions agents were surrounded by a legion of angry machines
- >two heavily modified butcher bots were guarding the nervous agents while others escorted the three nandroids, on the verge of having a breakdown, to their old house
- >they forced the door open and left the three nandroids in
- >the kids had the scolding of a lifetime, interrupted by crying and heartfelt sobs
- >in the end they decided to keep the nandroids, telling the resuisition bureau that they made a call when under the influence of alcohol
- >the nandroids are overjoyed that their charge just had a burst of bad habit and are willing to let them stay
- >it may or may not have something to do with the mechanical abominations glaring at them through the windows
- >for some reasons the agents also never said anything beside how it was a false alarm
- >the kids had several moments where they thought about calling the bureau again, but there was always the red glare of an outmode's optics staring at them from somewhere when they picked up the phone
- >the nandroids may have forgiven them hapilly, but the other outmodes didn't.
- >they never quite did, even when the kids really accepted the nandroids
