Examined:
Numerous rows of scales cut from ravenwood distinguish this suit of
plate from others. Thin strands of black silk help to bind the joints
together over a layering of flame-licked gold and silver links. A
special lacquer processed from kephera has been applied over the scales,
adding a shadowy emerald sheen to the deep violet hue of the ravenwood.
Upon each scale, small wyrden images are embossed with extra lacquer:
feathers, brambles, roses, ravenwood leaves, spiders, talons, and
heptagrams. Delicate web patterns are etched along the pauldrons and
greaves as a final touch.
