- __Explanation on the situation:__
- Originally, back in Augusust, I think this was due in part of me complaining to the mods that the official news posts were getting posted because of a karma race, but a lot of people who were posting were posting the header of the news posts or even less, while I was trying to get something more relevant from the news posts (example: getting time and dates to add to a reddit post title).
- The mods I guess decided to implement the /u/rdragaliamods reddit account (which i'm 100% sure it is being run by /u/Ryoukai because he's the only mod in the whole damn subreddit that really even posts anything). Which in turn they also added restrictions in things such as basically not letting anyone post news posts before and after reset for official news posts and deleting everything that was related to it, which some of them were needed to get removed since they were reposts or snippets of news posts.
- But this did not allow for anyone else to post anything until official sources (the website or twitter) stopped posting things, which was usually at most 15 minutes after reset.
- This annoyed me since it basically looked like that they wanted to have control over what or what not gets posted at rest, and they said to me that they basically were discussing such things for some time and decided to implement it conveniently after I complained, which I also find to be incredibly bull, since they told me only after I made a complain to them, and all of which they told me seemed to seemingly come out of nowhere, nor if it were in discussion prior, they didn't think to notify people like me in which it would affect.
- Then as of a month+, they would not let me post anything in a datamine unless it was going to have information that would not get posted in something official (so I would need to wait to see if something wouldn't exist for 24+ hours from a official notice).
- This also made no sense on why they would restrict such things, in which the response i was given was "to not split discussion".
- This is not a very acceptable answer, if the discussion gets split is that very detrimental to the community? Not really since most people who would be commenting are people who are awake at reset and a majority of players probably either don't look at reddit, maybe sleeping, or really only care about some information and not other things.
- Official news posts might contain some extra stuff but to give the reasoning that "it would split discussion" is dumb.
- Fast forward to Oct 28th, I decided to ask the moderator /u/yaycupcake if I could post any datamined information from version 1.13.0, since the last time there was a early version update I was able to post the datmained info, but this time I was told that "its's just better if it's saved for after the reset in case it's announced then."
- The problem with this is that why was there a need to wait if the information for future things can be datamined almost immediately? Why does it have to be kept for after reset?
- And another problem is that the subreddit creator, /u/amiibofan101, also has a tendency to just post things that the subreddit discord wiki people find and post them on both on a twitter accont he controls and onto the subreddit, bypassing any restrictions that have been put into place with me and other people, because of his position.
- So I went ahead and posted to the subreddit disregarding what they said because to be honest, they kept on adding more and more restrictions onto what could or could not be posted over the past few months since the original restrictions were being placed, seemingly out of nowhere.
- With the post of datamined info on Oct 28th, I did admit that I was ignoring the restrictions that they placed, and today on Oct 30th, 4:21PM Central Time, I was given a message that i was permamnetly banned form the subreddit.
- Overall I think the decisions and the restrictions that they placed since August have been more and more restrictive on both people who wanted to post official news posts and others who wanted to give datamined information prior to anything official.
- All of which, like I mentioned previously, seemed to really come out of nowhere and on the spot, with no prior notificaiton until it was questioned.
