  1. Thought I'd have more to say here, but I'd like to keep this shorter. This past weekend was most certainly interesting. A couple months ago I started up the idea of organizing a marathon dedicated to streaming Nihon Falcom RPGs over on RPGLimitBreak's channel. There was a bit of an attempt to organize a second Ys marathon last year, but it didn't really come to fruition. This year however, I really wanted to push to make this a reality...in spite of the fact that I'm new to organizing marathons and at parts didn't really know what I was doing.

  3. The marathon went off very well. We averaged around 550-700 viewers the whole course, which is quite a lot given how niche these games are. I owe a humongous thanks to everyone who volunteered to help out during the weekend (Ghoul, Gedrith, Cactoos, Claptor, Delphi, Tux, Hoppie, and of course all the runners). Delphi in particular really bailed us out with offering to cover multiple restream shifts on short notice. Big thanks to Ouro for the layouts, they were really nice to work with and looked great.

  5. Moreover, the runners absolutely killed it. I wanna say we had a total of 6 new PBs, with 4 of them being new WRs (Zwei, Zero no Kiseki, Cold Steel No Turbo, and Ys Seven No Turbo), which is awesome! Even beyond these, several runners came very close to their own PBs. The gameplay was all around top notch, and even in cases where things didn't go well, they kept it interesting along the way. Im proud of how everything turned out, and a lot of people enjoyed it which is awesome.

  7. My runs went all right. The showcases of the goofy categories went okay. Ys Origin went really well given how rusty I was. Celceta was slightly over estimate, which was due to a combination of bad luck and me running after getting little sleep in the two nights before, but people got a kick out of the tricks in it and enjoyed it which Im happy for. My goal was to keep the stream entertaining in between night and morning and I think I did just that.

  9. Thanks again to everyone who supported the marathon! It's kinda unfortunate we wound up on the same weekend as Big Bad Gameathon, but that just kind of happens (shoutouts to that marathon, poor Dowolf had to go from doing one of the worst video games of all time into Zero no Kiseki with very little downtime between) and that marathon's cool too anyways.

  11. Im glad we weren't doing anything for fundraising because that adds a whole extra layer of stress for me though. I had to work all weekend so it was a constant battle of checking my phone to make sure things were going smoothly. I had to ask some favors to get all this going, so it's unlikely Im going to be spearheading another of these any time soon, especially with some changes coming in my life. But it was a lot of fun!

  15. As for upcoming stuff on my own stream, I still need to push Celceta down more. I will also soon be finally playing Ys VIII now that I have the game! Expect that soon. I have a couple other speedgames I am looking into learning, potentially to offer to RPGLB soon. So stay tuned for that. It's been a bit of a battle to keep excited and motivated as of late, but I'm not too worried about things for now. CalFire Relief is coming up soon and I will be running Barkley and Celceta for that, which will be fun, and it's for a good cause.

  17. Thanks for reading,
