  1. THE HERCULES OF 2281 RUN
  2. The idea of this run is to re-enact the twelve labours of Hercules, only twisted to suit the world of the Mojave wasteland. This is by no means a run which should constitute serious RP; if anything, this is the run for the player who has done everything previously, and wants something fresh (even if half of the labours are artificially difficult)
  3. WEAPON RULES: All dependant on the labour in hand. For the most part, a trusty club shall be your main weapon. This can be anything from a mutants rebar to the Dead Horses war club. It'd also be wise to invest in some throwing weapons; you'll need those for some of the labours. Poisons are a good idea as well.
  4. ARMOR RULES: Tribal outfits only, so this requires Honest Hearts as a DLC to be installed. Alternatively, if you're feeling ballsy (or you just don't have the DLC), go naked. Completing the first Labour will give you Vulpes Inculta's hat, and this shall be your headpiece throughout the remaining 12 labours.
  5. SPECIAL: 10 strength and 10 charisma with 2 luck and 3 int. All over SPECIAL stats are at the players discretion.
  6. Skills: Dump points into unarmed, melee and survival. No points can be placed into guns, energy weapons, explosives, medicine or science. Everything else is self determined.
  7. Perks: Anything which you feel is necessary to you is allowed. This means "pick perks beneficial to melee but not to guns", because why would you pick gun perks if you're not using them? There are exceptional perks which you CANNOT pick. Animal Friend and Hunter cannot be picked; a lot of the labours deal with animals, so this is cheating. Purifier also cannot be taken for the same reason as the aforementioned perks. Unarmed perks are perfectly fine to take. The Old World Blues perks around cazadores also cannot be taken; the other implants are fine though.
  8. Food/drugs/healing: Stuff you can craft/get from animals and plants ONLY regarding healing items. This means no stimpacks. Drugs are fine except buffout. You're Hercules, why would you need even more strength?
  9. Mods: You will need only the one mod, "Near Death" by Devilswish182. This mod allows you to "knock out" humanoid npcs, allowing you to tie them up as your slaves. You will need this for some of the labours. The mod comes with craftable slave collars, so it's beneficial if you carry a couple in your inventory at all times.
  10. Gameplay rules: This is where the 12 Labours come in. Throughout your run, you must complete these labours. I'm going to give some leverage here and permit you to complete this IN ANY ORDER, because frankly, they don't have scaling difficulty.
  11. 1. Defeat the Nemean Lion. For this labour, you must kill Vulpes Inculta at Nipton and steal his hat. His hat becomes your hat, and you wear this for the rest of the game.
  12. 2. Defeat the Lernaean Hydra. For this labour, you must go into the quarry near Sloan and beat the Deathclaw Mother to death with your club.
  13. 3. Catch the Ceryneian Hind. Chase after Benny, effectively completing the quest "They went that-a-way". However, using the "Near Death" mod, knock him out, slap on a slave collar, and drag his ass back to Goodsprings.
  14. 4. Defeat the Erymanthian Boar. For this labour, use any poison to kill the legendary nightstalker.
  15. 5. Clean out the Augean Stables. For this labour, venture into Zion and make your way to the Dead Horses. Under the effects of "Rushing Water", you must kill every Dead Horse tribesman you see, effectively "cleaning out the horses with rushing water".
  16. 6. Defeat the Stymphalian Birds. Go to the cazador nest, and using only throwing weapons, rid the nest of its inhabitants.
  17. 7. Defeat the Cretan Bull. For this labour, enter The Fort and go visit Caesar. Using only your bare fists (or boxing tape if you have it), beat Caesar to death. Alternatively, beat Caesar until he is knocked out due to the "Near Death" mod, attach the slave collar, tie him up, then flee.
  18. 8. Defeat the mares of Diomedes. As there are no horses in Fallout (save for the Dead Horses), the mares of Diomedes will need to be some other beast that eats human flesh. In this labour, you must get Violet's dogs to kill one of the Fiend leaders. The easiest is Cook Cook, as killing Queenie will send Cook Cook into a rampage, meaning the dogs will become hostile to him.
  19. 9. Obtain the belt of Hippolyta. Go to the Ultralux and find Majorie. For this Labour, you must steal her dress (the one she is wearing) and hand it to Veronica to complete her quest "You make me feel like a woman".
  20. 10. Obtain the cattle of Geryon. For this labour, you must escort three wild and angry Brahmin (the ones which are hostile to you regardless of what you do), and escort them to Goodsprings, and lock them up inside one of the bighorner pens.
  21. 11. Obtain the apples of Hesperides. This labour is arguably the most monotonous. You'll need to obtain 50 Fresh Apples before taking them back to Goodsprings and dumping them inside the Prospectors saloon. These appear at set places, such as the Atomic Wrangler, as well as appearing in the inventory of tribals and Legion soldiers.
  22. 12. Defeat Cerberus. This will be the last labour you complete. For it, you must defeat Lanius in the same manor you defeated Caesar aka with bare fists or boxing tape. If you knock him out, equipped his blade and deliver a final blow.
