[02:37:18] <Isabella> It hasn't been long since she's gotten on the boat. And already so eager to get things moving. She stands near the front of the boat, not bothering to indulge that weird hipster doing the titantic pose, but just enjoying the sea air for a moment.

[02:38:09] <Isabella> (Yeah, this is before anyone vanishes or anything)
[02:38:39] <Isabella> Her yanma buzzes nearby, a strange combination of purple and ink instead of green and red, and with unsegmented, glowing eyes. A Nidorino sits on its haunches nearby, yawning and generally being lazy, while Isabella herself leans on a railing.
[02:42:46] <Corinne> A Red Duskull, it's Skull-like face covered in faint cracks and missing a tooth, floats eerily along the deck, as Corinne follows behind it, sending barrages of lightning-fast punches and kicks at it. They all miss, of course, simply going strait through it. She's just using it as a target reference. As she stops to catch her breath she looks over and notices someone that she hasn't

[02:43:47] * Isabella glances over, noticing the movement.
[02:44:11] <Isabella> "Oh, hello there... Interesting Duskull you have."
[02:45:09] * Isabella stops leaning on the rail and walks over to get a better look, her curiosity coming to the fore.
[02:45:34] * Corinne makes a faint sigh when the girl notices her. "...Yes. I suppose so" she responds with a light nod as the Duskull continues to float around directionlessly.

[02:46:29] <Isabella> "..." she studies Corrine herself for a moment.
[02:48:05] * Isabella is a rather curvy red-head wearing a plain t-shirt, pants, and a nondescript tan jacket.
[02:49:04] * Corinne is quite tall, with immediately visible muscles, black hair and brown eyes. There's a bandage on her left cheek, and she wears martial artist handwraps on her hands. Her outfit is a pair of simple black pants and some bandaging on her chest, with a loose jacket over it. "..."
[02:49:28] <Isabella> "So, I can clearly see you're a martial artist... Didn't think I'd see anyone like that coming to this school... what styles do you know?"
[02:49:59] <Isabella> "I'm Isabella, by the way."
[02:52:20] <Corinne> "...I'm Corinne. I've trained in several types of Martial arts. Mostly Systema, Samooborona Bez Oruzhiya, and a few other forms."
[02:54:11] * Isabella seems a bit blank for a moment, obviously not knowing what those are. "I see, I see... Pursuing more training at Avalon Isle Academy, then? Or 'sat just a hobby and you're here for some other career?"
[02:55:25] <Isabella> The yanma, Europa, buzzes a few feet overhead the both of them, trying to get a close look at things herself.
[02:56:09] <Corinne> Corinne is silent for a moment, her face completely unmoving as she thinks for a moment. "...I'm here to train and eventually become a Fighting-type Gym Leader."
[02:56:34] <Isabella> "Well hey, that's pretty cool. More interested in psychic types myself, but different strokes I guess."
[02:58:13] <Isabella> "As for myself, well I intend to become top in the field of cryptooneirology~"
[02:59:41] <Corinne> "...I see." she responds, having no idea what Cryptooneirology is. As she waits somewhat akwardly for an explaination, her Duskull, Yatsu, suddenly bursts over her shoulder from behind and spins it's eye around in it's sockets in a feeble attempt to startle Isabella.
[03:00:44] * Isabella is pretty sharp-eyed and already knew the Duskull was around, so it's not quite as effective as Yatsu or Corrine might have hoped. She does smirk though.
[03:00:57] <Isabella> "...I can see I've lost you. Let's see..."
[03:01:05] <Isabella> "Have you ever heard of the legendary pokemon, Cresselia?"
[03:03:15] * Corinne doesn't seem to have even noticed Yatsu's attempt. When Isabella says 'legendary pokemon', she seems to tense up a bit, and responds: "...No. I don't study Legendary pokemon much. I've heard about Giratina, but that's about it."
[03:03:15] <Isabella> "They're a species of legendary pokemon said to grant good dreams and are tied to the realm of the subconscious visited in sleep, the Dream World. I have a special connection to Cresselia~ One of them, anyway, and I intend to fully explore it while here, training to be a proper Dream Doctor and scholar of the lore of legendary pokemon."
[03:03:39] <Corinne> "...I see."
[03:06:38] * Isabella heads back and leans against the railing again, looking out at the ocean. "I intend to be quite ambitious in my studies~ You should too, if you're planning on becoming a gym leader. I like ambitious people." She cocks her head back over her shoulder, looking back. "But hm, you're not one much for words, are you?"
[03:09:56] * Corinne sighs for a moment, considering her response. For some reason, she decides to be honest. "...I'm not good with words. And words can ruin a person's life. So I...take care with them."
[03:10:22] * Isabella chuckles a bit.
[03:12:33] <Isabella> "I see... Not exactly a point of view I agree with. But ah, as I said, different strokes. I wouldn't be the girl I am today if my vernacular wasn't quite as verbose as it is... Let me tell you what I believe, though. I believe that over anything, indecision can ruin a person's life."
[03:15:28] <Corinne> "...That I can agree with, I suppose." she says, nodding a few times to accentuate her response.
[03:15:59] <Isabella> "So, what classes are you studying?" she turns back, smiling a little.
[03:16:30] <Isabella> *are you taking, rather
[03:18:50] <Corinne> "Poke-Biology. Physical Education. Advanced Tactics. Communication with Pokemon. And Wilderness Survival."
[03:19:36] <Isabella> "Ah, sounds like we'll be having AT and biology together then. I'm also in Legendary Studies, Mystical Aptitude, and Politics and Negotiation." She sighs, as if not particularly caring for that last one.
[03:21:37] <Corinne> "...I had considered taking Mystical Aptitude, simply because of Yatsu, but I decided against it..."
[03:22:13] <Isabella> The corner of her mouth lifts a bit. "I happen to be interested in mysticism, and my line of research flirts with it at times, so I figured it would be a fairly solid course to take."
[03:22:49] <Isabella> "So 'Yatsu' is the name of your duskull?"
[03:22:51] * Corinne nods. "That's...I decided against it because it doesn't have much to do with my plans."
[03:23:26] * Isabella nods as well.
[03:24:04] <Isabella> "I'm taking Politics and Negotiation mostly out of duty to my family back in Castelia."
[03:25:20] <Isabella> "I had really wanted to take Physics for Trainers, mostly out of interest than need..."
[03:25:41] * Isabella pushes herself onto the railing and kicks her feet back and forth idly.
[03:26:00] <Corinne> "...Mm, yes. Familial obligation is important, though."
[03:26:33] * Isabella nods. "Yes, it is."
[03:26:59] <Isabella> "Advanced Tactics should be fun enough that I won't miss it, though."
[03:27:13] <Isabella> "Looking forward to anything in particular?"
[03:28:02] <Corinne> "I'm hoping Physical Education will be worthwhile. I'm still not sure if it'll be watered down for the...average student, or if i'll actually be able to benefit from it..."
[03:30:01] <Isabella> "Given the nature of this school I imagine it's more for focused trainers such as yourself - martial artists and athletes. Hardly anything at this school settles for average from what I've heard."
[03:32:11] <Isabella> "After all, there wasn't a 'Basic Tactics' offered in the class guide."
[03:32:31] <Isabella> "I'd guess a degree of competence is expected."
[03:33:31] <Corinne> "...That's true. Well, to be honest, i'm looking forward to Communication with Pokemon. My pokemon are...important to me, so i'm hoping i'll be able to understand them more after finishing the class."
[03:33:53] * Isabella looks up as the clouds pass by overhead. "Really? That's interesting... I'll be doing nearly the opposite."
[03:35:08] <Isabella> "My research into the dream world has already let me 'enlighten' Europa, my Yanma, as you can probably tell from how different she is... By introducing their minds to the psychic type I hope to improve the intelligence of my pokemon to where they'll better be able to understand me and express themselves better."
[03:35:36] <Corinne> ".......Well, that's...fancy, I suppose."
[03:36:29] <Isabella> "But yes, I think our pokemon are very important to each of us."

[03:41:16] <Corinne> "Yes. I just want to get there and have it over with. I've been travelling for...ages"
[03:41:22] * Isabella slides off the rail and recalls her Nidorino.
[03:41:39] <Isabella> "Feels like it for me, as well, even if Unova isn't THAT far..."
[03:42:02] <Isabella> "Either way, I think I'll have a look around the ship. It was nice meeting you, Corinne. See you in class?"
[03:43:17] * Corinne nods. "I'll see you then."
[03:43:28] * Isabella gives a half wave and heads inside.
