  1. [8:38pm] Alivi: Eriko sits inside the rec room
  2. [8:38pm] Proto_Lost: Simon enters the rec room, looking like he just woke up.
  3. [8:39pm] Alivi: Eriko sees Simon all of a sudden she seems nervous,
  4. [8:39pm] Alivi: "M-Morning Otousan!"
  5. [8:40pm] Proto_Lost: He only now spots Eriko, and he smiles. "Goodmorning Eriko."
  6. [8:42pm] Alivi: "H-How are you..."
  7. [8:43pm] Proto_Lost: "Feeling a bit sleepy, but otherwise alright...how about you kid? You sound a bit twitchy."
  8. [8:47pm] Alivi: "Um…" She turns red. "I…" She holds out a case.
  9. [8:48pm] Proto_Lost: Simon takes the case from her and examines it.
  10. [8:48pm] Alivi: It seems a bit worn on the top it says - To Simon, From Eriko
  11. [8:49pm] Alivi: She seems nervous.
  12. [8:50pm] Proto_Lost: Simon looks at the case, then back to her. "Aw kid, now I feel bad that I don't have one for you."
  13. [8:50pm] Proto_Lost: He opens the case and looks inside
  14. [8:51pm] Alivi: It is a .357 revolver with cedar wood grips and an inscription. It seems to resemble Castor in some ways.
  15. [8:52pm] Proto_Lost: Simon takes it out of the case and gives it a good look in the light...he spots the inscription and squints to read it.
  16. [8:52pm] Alivi: It is in Japanese.
  17. [8:53pm] Alivi: Eriko notices, "Um…"
  18. [8:53pm] Alivi: "I-it means…. 'Substance before appearance…' "
  19. [8:53pm] Proto_Lost: He turns it over in his hands, feeling its weight and following every line and corner on the gun.
  20. [8:54pm] Proto_Lost: "Kid...it's beautiful."
  21. [8:54pm] Alivi: "S-so even though it doesn't…look like a lot… I hope this…helps you….Um…Z-zach and I….we- wait what?"
  22. [8:55pm] Proto_Lost: He looks at Eriko. "It's beautiful kid, better than anything I could ever make."
  23. [8:55pm] Alivi: "We've been working on it for long time..."
  24. [8:56pm] Proto_Lost: Simon looks back down at the gun. "...I just feel like shit for not getting you something just as wonderful."
  25. [8:56pm] Alivi: "You have been here for me… you gave me Castor too…" Eriko smiles.
  26. [8:58pm] Proto_Lost: Simon smiles back. "Goddammit kid, now you're making me feel terrible."
  27. [8:59pm] Alivi: "W-what?!" Eriko looks upset, "N-No…this wasn't supposed to happen… It was supposed to make you happy..."
  28. [9:00pm] Proto_Lost: Simon gives her a hug. "Kid, I was kidding...I really appreciate what you did...I really do."
  29. [9:00pm] Alivi: Eriko hugs back tight, "R-really?"
  30. [9:01pm] Proto_Lost: "Yeah Eriko, it's wonderful! Did you make this?"
  31. [9:02pm] Alivi: Eriko nods. "W-well sorta, I-I had to ask Zach to help me…s-since I don't know about making guns..."
  32. [9:03pm] Proto_Lost: Simon looks back, finally realizing why he'd seen Zach messing around with blueprints all the time. "...So this was your top-secret need to know project?: he says with a smile.
  33. [9:04pm] Alivi: Eriko turns red again, "Y-Yea…."
  34. [9:05pm] Proto_Lost: "Glad to know that I didn't need to know then."
  35. [9:06pm] Proto_Lost: "Ohh kid...where in the world am I going to find you a present as good as this one?"
  36. [9:06pm] Alivi: "Y-You don't have to…" Eriko smiles, "It is gift…but Zach says to make sure to test it… just in case."
  37. [9:08pm] Proto_Lost: Simon lets go of her, and gives the gun a twirl, feeling it spin around his finger.
  38. [9:08pm] Proto_Lost: He catches it again, and puts it in his holster.
  39. [9:08pm] Alivi: Eriko watches, she smiles.
  40. [9:09pm] Proto_Lost: "It's been a while since I could do that, Pollux has gotten a bit too off-balance for me to spin...so thanks again my daughter."
  41. [9:09pm] Alivi: "guns can go off balance?"
  42. [9:10pm] Proto_Lost: "Well, to me anyway...that or my reflexes have gone."
  43. [9:10pm] Proto_Lost: He starts heading out the door. "In any case, Zach's advice sounds good. Let's go test this beauty out."
  44. [9:11pm] Alivi: Eriko stands and nods, she picks up the case and walks with Simon.
  45. [9:14pm] Proto_Lost: Simon arrives at the range, and excitedly pulls out the gun.
  46. [9:15pm] Alivi: Eriko stands back at watches Simon pull out the gun.
  47. [9:15pm] Proto_Lost: "Come on kid, pretty sure you don't want to miss what your masterpiece can do."
  48. [9:15pm] Alivi: "I am watching," She says with a small smile.
  49. [9:16pm] Proto_Lost: Simon takes aim at the farthest dummy with a smile on his face.
  50. [9:16pm] Alivi: Eriko watches in anticipation
  51. [9:16pm] Proto_Lost: 6df+12 tagging Marked- bang bang

  53. [9:17pm] Proto_Lost: The target is hit right between the eyes, or where they would be if it had any.
  54. [9:17pm] Alivi: Eriko smiles, "[Im glad…(yokatta)]"
  55. [9:19pm] Proto_Lost: "Huh, function and form....for something that says substance over appearance, it sure delivers at both." He says with a smile.
  56. [9:19pm] Alivi: Eriko looks at Simon, "Glad you like it."
  57. [9:23pm] Proto_Lost: Simon grabs her in a one-armed hug. "Really, thank you Eriko...I sure as hell don't think I deserve to get something like this, but I'm glad someone does."
  58. [9:25pm] Proto_Lost: "And since you made it, I think you should give him a name."
  59. [9:25pm] Alivi: "You really do..."
  60. [9:26pm] Alivi: "W-what?!"
  61. [9:26pm] Faminepulse left the chat room. (Quit: Faminepulse)
  62. [9:26pm] Alivi: "I-I can't..."
  63. [9:27pm] Proto_Lost: He smiles at her. "Come on kid, you managed to name my Pidgey, this is your gun."
  64. [9:27pm] Alivi: Eriko shakes her head
  65. [9:28pm] Proto_Lost: Simon just chuckles, and shrugs. "Alright alright...guess I'll just call it..."
  66. [9:31pm] Alivi: "Aries?"
  67. [9:32pm] Proto_Lost: He snaps out of his mental name-hunting and lights up. "Yeah, that works! Aries...that happens to be my zodiac whatever."
  68. [9:33pm] Alivi: "R-really??"
  69. [9:34pm] Proto_Lost: "Well, haven't actually told anyone when my birthday was, since I don't ever get gifts...plus the birthday candles on the cake would probably set the cake on fire."
  70. [9:35pm] Alivi: "I would give gifts..."
  71. [9:37pm] Proto_Lost: "Well, better late than never I suppose." He says with a grin. "And I'd take a gift from you any day."

  79. [10:23pm] Proto_Lost: Simon smiles. "Then I'm glad I managed to cheer you up, by proxy anyway."

  82. [11:10pm] Alivi: Eriko yawns and rubs her eyes
  83. [11:11pm] Proto_Lost: Simon notices, and starts heading out of the range. "C'mon my daughter, you look like you need some rest."
  84. [11:12pm] Alivi: Eriko nods, and follows.
  85. [11:15pm] Proto_Lost: They walk to the dorms, where Simon heads first to the door to Eriko's room.
  86. [11:16pm] Alivi: "Where are we going?"
  87. [11:17pm] min_min joined the chat room.
  88. [11:17pm] Proto_Lost: "To your room kid, I'm dropping you off, unless you rather I carry you there, but I think you're too old for that." He says with a gentle smile.
  89. [11:18pm] Alivi: Eriko smiles . "Just a bit right?"
  90. [11:19pm] minmin left the chat room. (Ping timeout)
  91. [11:20pm] Proto_Lost: "Yeah, just a bit."
  92. [11:21pm] Proto_Lost: He opens the door for her, but stays outside.
  93. [11:21pm] Alivi: Eriko nods and takes off her shoes.

  95. [11:22pm] Proto_Lost: Simon does a slight bow. "Goodnight my daughter, and thank you very much...A man couldn't ask for a better daughter than you kid."

  101. [11:32pm] Proto_Lost: "Goodnight my daughter, you take care now."

  103. [11:35pm] Proto_Lost: Simon walks away from Eriko's room and heads to his own room, his head buzzing with ideas for a gift for his beloved daughter.
