once, one of the gods broke an arm very badly - rather than seek a cleric or a healer, they thought to tough it out, without help. when they finally got tired of constantly dropping their sword, their books, and every cup of coffee they ever tried to hold in that hand, the healer they finally sought out was blunt. the only way to fix it now is to smash the bones again, even more painful than the first time it had happened. the fragments from that shattering do glitter wonderfully as stars, at least.
