  1. TLDR: I've missed streaming, ow, my hands. Ironmon info: ironmon.gg

  4. So, I stepped away from speedrunning in large part due to my left hand having some issues. I hoped they'd end up resolved, but never had any luck. I did have a couple attempts at getting back into speedrunning as well, but ultimately decided it wasn't the best thing at the time.

  6. Jump ahead to 2022, and things kinda started falling apart. I had some non hand-related issues crop up and tried to take care of them. I ended up in physical therapy and, suddenly, things kinda just shit the bed. Might've been the therapy, might've been a boiling over of some other stuff. Both my hands suddenly had issues, with my left getting worse. A nerve test later, I had confirmed carpal tunnel syndrome in my right hand but nothing in my left, at all. No carpal or cubital tunnel syndrome.

  8. I ended up getting release surgery in the right hand, which mostly cleaned up the issues I had in that hand. I am still in the recovery period, but it doesn't feel like it has healed correctly. I'm hoping it's just a slow recovery and it'll get back to 100% in time. As for my left, that kinda just does what it wants to do. It now bothers me in both the pinky side and thumb/pointer side. I've had a bunch of tests done with no results.

  10. A bit into my issue period, I started watching Ironmon streamers and was super entertained. Even Olivia got into watching and we'd end up with multiple streams up at a time, trying to keep track like it was March Madness. I eventually jumped in and started doing Ultimate in Black 2. I only used my left hand on a keyboard to play and it has kept me entertained for like a month at this point with little to no agitation. I beat Ultimate and moved on to Kaizo, deciding I wanted to stream.

  12. I've really missed streaming. I've jumped in and out of Twitch over these past few years, usually lurking. Olivia usually has a Sprash stream up on her computer or the living room tv, so it's always been in sight. I've always felt a bit weird about jumping in and catching up with old friends in their chat. Like, I've been curious as to what they've been up to, and I'm sure they've been curious as to what I've been up to, but I kinda wanted to get things sorted out with me before these conversations. I've also never really wanted to stream anything other than Sprash speedrunning and always had it it my mind that I would practice like crazy and come back and shake things up in whatever completionist category I came back to. The addition of channel points also pulled me back in (at the time). Those seem dope. With something like Ironmon, it definitely seems like something that is more entertaining in a stream setting and the streamers I've watched seem to be having a fun time.

  14. Otherwise, since last time, I ended up getting married a couple years ago, got a new computer, used it to play some Runescape, took up keyboard (RIP my hands), started watching MMA (mainly UFC, the occasional other promotion), got into watching Minecraft Champions, experimented with only having a moustache for a bit, and got a broken electromechanical pinball machine I proceeded to break more, get discouraged, and not touch since. Oh yeah, I also learned Albert Einstein was an actual person that existed. This entire time I thought he was just a theoretical physicist! Same old bad jokes, house, cat, job, and beard.

  16. Emotes are in the works since affiliates can now have more than one emote, so stay tuned. I also don't really know what else there is to Twitch now, so let me know if you have any suggestions.
