- ==1 - ACE PILOT GROUPBUILD==
- Build, customize, and paint a mobile suit of your choice into your own personal design. This can range from just a repainted Zaku to a kitbashed Gundam loaded with any spare rifles and Rocket Launchers you can find. Any suit from any series is fair game, just stick to 1/144 kits and you're good.
- ==2 - GRAZE GROUPBUILD==
- Rules:
- Pick any 1/144 or 1/100 kit from the Graze family (Pic Related), and paint and customize it. As far as customizing it, I'm going to place a limit on that. The limit is 50% additions to the kit.
- To define 50%, look at it like this, you could take a Graze Ritter and replace the arms (including shoulders), legs, and backpack and I'd call that 50%. I'm not counting handheld bits in that. If you're unsure of something please ask in IRC, the thread, or email.
- ==3 - MELEE GROUPBUILD==
- Build/paint a robot with a loadout focused on melee combat! Anything from shields to swords to lances to axes to bare fists is fair game. There's no room for ranged weaponry here, however, so anything resembling a rifle, Rocket Launcher, cannon, pistol, or any other ranged weapon is a no-go (Small ranged weapons that are built into the kit itself like head vulcans are ok, however).
- More clarification here:
- >If the body part has a built-in ranged weapon (head/chest vulcans, claw beams, etc), then that's fine. If it's a separate part like the Alex's arm vulcans it's best to leave those off.
- >Melee weapons with in-universe ranged capabilities (Like the Kimaris's lance or the Gyan's shield) are fair game too.
- >Any scale and any brand is fair game here, you're not limited to just using Gundams this time around.
- ==4 - THICK MS GROUPBUILD ==
- Build a kit of your choice that's heavily armored, and thick in the thighs/arms/torso/general area. Examples include:
- >Dom + Dom Variants
- >The O
- >Virtue/Seravee Gundams
- >Gusion/Man Rodis
- >Full Armor gundams (If they're heavily armored, and not guns strapped everywhere like the FA Unicorn)
- Non-Bandai kits are allowed, so feel free to whip out a Frame Arms kit or something and work with that as long as you make it thicc as fuck.
- ==5 - RANGED GROUPBUILD==
- Build/paint a kit (Gundam/Frame Arms/etc) with a loadout focused on long ranged combat! Sniper Rifles, Artillery Cannons, Missile Launchers, Funnels/Bits, and Miniguns are all fair game. You may also include a back-up melee weapons (Like a combat knife or beam saber) with your build, but it shouldn't overshadow your ranged equipment
- More clarification here:
- >Any scale and any brand is fair game here, you're not limited to just using Gundam models. The base kit needs to be a robot though (Sorry tankfags)
- >You can however kitbash a tank with a Zaku/GM or something and submit that.
- >The longer the barrel the better. Your average rifle/machine gun on a stock MS isn't gonna cut it.
- ==6 - CIVILIAN GROUP BUILD ==
- Build a mobile suit/mecha that is designed to fill a non-military role. This includes (but is not limited to):
- >Police/Emergency work
- >Construction/repairs
- >Racing/Sports
- >Public displays/restoration projects
- Weapons are allowed only in the case that they would fit with the theme of the model (A pistol/rifle on a police mech, an axe on a fire fighter mech, a drill on a construction mech, etc).
- ==7 - FANTASY GROUP BUILD==
- Build a mecha/robot themed around a fantasy setting! This can include anything you can come up with, such as:
- >A mobile suit based around a typical RPG class type (Knights, Wizards, Clerics, Bards, etc)
- >A mobile suit designed to look like a fantasy creature (Dragons, merfolk, goblins, etc)
- >A mobile suit used as a siege weapon
- The only stipulation for your builds is no beam sabers/rifles. Firearms are allowed, as long as they make sense int he context of the build (IE, a crossbow for an archer, magic cannons for a warlock, etc).
- ==8 - BUILD DIVERS GROUPBUILD ==
- Build the mobile suit that you would use in Gunpla Battle Nexus Online. Any Gundam mobile suit/series is fair game as long as you use a 1/144 or SD kit. Parts/weapons from non-gundam kits are fine too as long as they don't detract too much from the suit (The base mobile suit itself still needs to be 100% Gundam though). Additionally, provide a short description of the kit, your GBN character and their Force (Like 100 words tops). A few other points to keep in mind.
- >1/144 means 1/144. HGs, RGs, and NGs are all okay. For SDs any of them are okay.
- >It's okay to use Build Divers kits, but try to make it your own thing instead of just doing "00 Diver Ace: Remastered Edition"
- >Bonus points if you get a Diver Gear to go with it.
- ==9 - IGBX: Immortal Group Build==
- Build a mecha focused around vehicular racing for a high-speed race across the galaxy!
- >What constitutes a racing mecha?
- A mobile suit with a focus on speed/agility, with or without some sort of waverider/MA mode. This doesn't mean bulky mechs aren't eligible, it just needs to retain a sense of speed to it. All racing components must be incorporated within the mobile suit itself, and not be an entirely separate entity (IE, you can't make a mobile suit and a motorcycle, but you can make a mobile suit with parts that turns it into a motorcycle OR a mobile suit that has armorparts that turns a motorcycle)
- >Is weaponry/vehicular combat allowed?
- Yes, but ideally you should probably stick to hard-mounted weaponry instead of handheld weapons (Not that you can't include handheld ones, it's your build). The lighter the better in this case.
- >I can't come up with an idea for this theme, what's some good inspiration?
- IGPX, Eureka Seven, Redline, WipeOut, and F-Zero are good starting points for futuristic racing machines. If you have a favorite race car livery then that can work as a starting point as well.
- ==10 - GROUND WARFARE GROUPBUILD==
- Build a kit made for boots in the dirt action that will see heavy usage during a grounded war. This means
- >No MS designed primarily for space/air/aquatic environments
- >No sustained flight abilities (Transformable MS with a flight mode, add-on flight packs/platforms, etc)
- >No weaponry only operable in zero-g environments (Funnels/bits, DRAGOONs, INCOMs, etc)
- Any kit is fine for this build as long as it's a mecha. You may include additional elements in your build such as infantry, support vehicles, or a diorama so long as the main focal point of your entry is the mecha.
- ==11 - DEEP SPACE GROUPBUILD==
- Build a kit designed primarily for outerspace usage. This means:
- >Your entry should reflect its Zero-G environment. Take inspiration from various space-type mobile suits and orbital frames.
- >Spacecraft are allowed this time around. This can range from Gundam battleships/mobile armors to Star Wars fighters to flying saucers.
- >There's several routes one could go with this build, including a general "space type" mobile suit with lots of verniers/thrusters, a mobile suit designed for space exploration (ie. Stargazer, Woundworts), or a completely alien mobile suit (Vagan stuff, just generally alien designs)
- >Just throwing some thrusters onto a Z'Gok won't cut it though, you have to make it feel like your entry would be fit for outer space.
- ==12 - BUILD DIVERS RE:GROUPBUILD ==
- FOR EVERYONE
- >1/144 means 1/144. HGs, RGs, and NGs are all okay. SDs are allowed as well in any size/shape
- >It's okay to use Build Divers kits, but try to make it your own thing instead of just doing "Core Gundam: Remastered Edition"
- >You are allowed to make a secondary build as long as it's in relationship to your first one (IE: A pair of twin units who work in sync, a support vehicle that docks with your first half of your entry, etc)
- FOR BUILDERS WHO ENTERED THE PREVIOUS DIVERS GROUPBUILD
- >Your new build must have some relationship to your previous Build Divers entry. This can range from your Diver's newly upgraded suit, the mobile suit of another member of your Diver's force, or your Diver's sworn rival (It still needs to be a completely new entry though)
- ==13 - EXTREME CONDITIONS GROUPBUILD==
- Build and customize a mobile suit that is specialized for a single specific environment! Examples of such environments include:
- >Desert (MS equipped with add-ons such as dust filters and heat radiators)
- >Arctic (MS equipped with arctic camouflague and increased communications for winter storms)
- >Jungle (MS equipped with gear suited for traversing through dense forests and marshlands)
- >Aquatic (MS designed primarily for underwater combat)
- >Atmospheric (MS designed primarily for aerial combat)
- Other environments besides the ones listed are alright, feel free to ask about what you have in mind ITT. Your builds must be focused on a single environment (IE: you can't submit a entry that has optional equipment suited for both the desert and arctic), and you must be clear when submitting your entry as to which environment your entry is built for.
- ==14 - 30 MINUTE MISSIONS GROUPBUILD==
- Take any 30MM kit and customize it in any way you can think up!
- >You must use at least one of the main 30MM Mecha kits (ie: Alto, Portanova) in your build
- >You're free to use parts/materials from Gunpla/other plamo lines in your entry, but the main body of your build should retain at least 50% 30MM parts/components (Weapons and Backpacks do not apply here)
- Other than those two limitations you're pretty much free to do whatever else you want with your entry (Want to make an Rabiot/Jesta kitbash? Or a crab mech out of multiple Portanovas? Or a three-robot Alto combiner? Go on right ahead!). The only other limitations besides the two main rules are your imagination and what parts you have lying around.
- ==15 - MECHA MUSUME GROUPBUILD==
- Build and customize a mecha musume/female mecha kit to your stylings. Examples of mecha musume kits/lines include:
- >Build Fighters Super Fuminas/Mobile Dolls/Figure-rise Standards/etc
- >Frame Arms Girls
- >Megami Devices
- >A.T.K.Girls
- >Aoshima's V.F.G.
- Examples of female mechas include:
- >Feminine mobile suits (Nobel Gundam, GN Archer, Farsia, Woundwort, etc)
- >Female SDs (IE: Diao-chan Qubeley)
- >Feminine LBXs (IE: Kunoichi, Pandora)
- >Fei Yen
- >Valsione
- >Strelizia
- ==16 - ZAKU GROUPBUILD==
- Build and customize a mobile suit from the Zaku family in any way you can imagine! Any suit that has the word "Zaku" in its name is fair game, meaning you can use any of the following:
- >Standard UC Zakus such as the Zaku I or Zaku II
- >Variants such as the Act Zaku, Desert Zaku, Zaku Tank, etc
- >ZAKU Warriors and their variants from the Cosmic Era
- >SD Zakus
- This means you cannot use the following for the main part of your build
- >Other Zeon/ZAFT mobile suits (ie: Goufs, Gelgoogs, GINNs)
- >Zaku expies from the Universal Century (HiZack, Geara Doga, Den'an Zon, etc)
- >Zaku equivalents from other Gundam timelines (Leos, Grazes, Borjanons, etc)
- You can still source parts from other kits for your builds, but the basis of your entry has to be at least 50% Zaku (ie: Swapping out the bottom half of a Zaku II with a Dom to make a Zaku II High Mobility Test Type would be acceptable, but throwing a Zaku head onto a Dom won't cut it). The 50% limitation refers only to the body itself, you're free to do what you wish with your suit's equipment.
- ==17 - GM GROUPBUILD==
- Build and customize a mobile suit from the GM family of mobile suits in any way you can imagine! That means any suit that either has "GM" in the name or in its model number is A-OK to use. This includes
- >Normal OYW GMs and their variants (ie. Sniper, Cannon, Interceptor)
- >Post-OYW GMs like the Powered GM or GM Quel
- >GM II/GM IIIs
- >Suits from the RGM family of suits (Jegans, Jestas, Heavyguns, Jamesguns, Javelins)
- >SD GMs
- Conversely, this excludes:
- >UC suits without the RGM model number (ie: Nemo (MSA-003), Gun Blastor (LM111E03))
- >GM equivalents from other Gundam timelines (Daughtress, Windam, Adele, etc)
- You can still source parts from other kits for your builds, but the basis of your entry has to be at least 50% GM when it comes to the original parts used. The 50% limitation refers only to the body itself, you're free to do what you wish with your suit's equipment.
- ==18 - ARMORED GROUPBUILD==
- It's time to armor up, everyone! Build a robot or vehicle that is physically built to be as defensive as possible. Some examples include:
- >A robot with a heavy emphasis on shields, in quantity or size (Thunderbolt GM, GM Guard Type, etc)
- >A robot with additional layer(s) of armor attached for added defense (Full Armor Gundams, NT-1 with Chobham Armor, Armored Valkyries, etc)
- >A robot/vehicle with naturally thick armor in the first place (Gustav Karl, Mazingers, Ironclad Dreadnoughts, etc.)
- >A robot/vehicle with various traditional armor types attached to it (Slat armor, Reactive armor, Improvised armor, etc)
- You can have your standard array of armaments too, but the defensive aspect of the build is what's most important here.
- ==19 - AERIAL COMBAT GROUPBUILD==
- Build a robot with flight capabilities designed for atmospheric combat. This can include
- >A mech designed for fighting in mid-air (ie: Gouf Flight Type)
- >A mech with external flight equipment attached (ie: Aile Strike)
- >A mech with a transformable flight mode (ie: Any Variable Fighter)
- >A Fantasy mech with its own set of wings (ie: Rune Gods Rayearth/Selece/Windam)
- >A support vehicle meant to aid another mech in flight (ie: Core Booster)
- The ability of flight is key here, if it's something that can stay in mid-air briefly but can't sustain being in the air for an extended period of time it doesn't count. Also, mechs that can operate in both the earth's atmosphere and space are fine, but mechs that only operate in outer space are not eligible.
