  1. Species/Race Name Ligua - Rain Slime - Raincoat
  2.
  3. Anatomy/Biology
  4. Types: Like slimes, there are a few variations, but the most common is clear.
  5. Description: Being a microscopic species, these creatures cannot be individually seen from the naked eye, but they do tend to group together and act a singular being similar to a slime. Generally speaking, they usually appear similar to regular water, if somewhat more reflective and gel like, so it's rather difficult to notice them as they usually only appear when it's raining.
  6. Diet: Dirt, and sweat.

  13. Extra: A microscopic species similar to a slime, these creatures only appear when it rains. They spend the majority of their lives up in the sky, usually amongst the clouds. When they find others of their species, they group together, causing the clouds they reside in to follow. Eventually when a large enough colony forms, these beings begin to destabilize the surrounding air, forcibly causing the cloud they reside in to accumulate additional moisture and eventually cause it to rain. If the colony is significantly larger than usualy, it can cause escalate to a thunderstorm.
  14. During the rain, the ligua will usually condense in size and fall with the rain in order to land onto the ground. During this time, they regroup to the center of the storm, absorbing nutrients from the ground they travel along the way. Once they have reached the center, they expand in size, attaining a gaseous-like state, allowing them to return up into the sky and into the clouds where they repeat the process. This will continue until the number of Ligua returning to the cloud descreases to a fraction of the original colony size.
  15.
  16. Those that do not return to their cloud usually end up in the sky, being directed by the wind until finding or forming another colony. But there are those who land on creatures, and choose to remain on those creatures.
  17.
  18. The Ligua have a liking to the oils found on the skin of certain animals, especially humans, and will choose to remain on the animals until they form a large enough colony. This causes the host to form a layer of slime on their skin, making it seem like they're constantly sweating or had just taken a bath. No matter how many times they try to dry themselves, they will continuously remain soaked. If any other animal comes into contact with one that is coated in this slime will become a host as well, eventually becoming coated it in.
  19. Although these creatures don't cause direct harm to their hosts, many do fall ill or suffer in their ability to do certain tasks due to their constantly wet bodies and increase in slickness. Eventually when the colony has grown to a certain size, it will leave the host and return to the sky. Usually it will rain a day or so after this occurs, so it is recommended to warn others when this occurs so that they do not end up becoming hosts.
