Dear walmart

As you may or may not have noticed, the trans community is fighting for civil rights in several states, and I am hoping, as a big part of the community, that you will do your part to help us fight this.

As you may know, in north carolina they basically made it legal to discriminate regarding use of restrooms, more specifically, forcing trans people to use their born gender restroom instead of their current gender restroom. This issue puts the trans community into uncomfortable situations.

I am a trans girl meaning I was born with male genitalia but I identify fully as a female, I live my life as a female and being seen as a female is what I live for. This includes the ability to use the girls restrooms as any other girl would. For most people it may seem like it is just a restroom but for the trans community its symbolic.
The people are taking away our right to use the restroom that matches our gender identity based on a biased and unproven fact: that trans people are prone to being sexual predators, even though there's no reported cases of such happening ever. Also if there was actually gonna be a sexual predator, restroom laws wouldn't stop him/her from acting.
The second reason for trans not being allowed into their current sex restrooms is privacy, but since our minds match that of our gender identity it actually only violates privacy when we are forced into the restroom of our birth gender.
The third reason people give is religion, people say that trans people go against their faith and as such they should be forced to their birth restroom, even though that won't mean they'd stop seeing them.

So I ask that you please help us and fight this so that gender identity can be recognized. Do your part in the community protect equality protect the free world
