Journal 4 Entry 1

I wonder if this is how Alice felt in Wonderland? She went to a fantasy land filled with strange things where nothing made sense. I am in a strange land filled with violence and martial arts where nothing makes sense. Also it’s the 80s so that’s a thing.

Random Street punks are carrying around automatic weapons, A skateboard can be used to flip a car in to the air and arcade machines can come alive and murder everything around them.

I don’t drink. I hate alcohol, I don’t believe in getting high either so I don’t really have any release from this nonsense.

Thankfully I am not alone this time, Igniculus is here. Strangely he is human in this world. I am not sure people would have even blinked at a sentient talking ball of light here but he fits in a little better.

There are two big problems though, he is a cop in a world of super violence, and He isn’t super human or anything so I am a bit worried about him. He does have a Giant wolf that he rides which I guess helps.

The big problem is despite having learned a lot in the past 10 years he is still naïve. Now he is in a crazy world and he asks me about stuff and I don’t have the answers.

It’s ok… I just have to adapt, understand the logic this world runs on. There must be some internal logic to this place.

Anyways I have begun teaching Igniculus martial arts. He complains a lot, maybe I am running him a little hard but again this is a strange and violent world so I have to prepare him.


Journal 4 Entry 4

I think I understand a bit more now; this world operates like an old action movie, way over the top. I believe it is called rule of cool is definitely in effect and everything explodes if you shoot it enough… EVERYTHING! I have tested it, it’s a fact.

It was a strange change of pace I have spent two decades ruling, now just to be a normal person again is odd. I still am filthy rich though so that’s something. I decided to become a hero again like back in Gotham. This city certainly needs it.

There was something nostalgic about slipping on my old costume. It had been so long since I had. It kind of made me miss the rest of the bat family.

It’s a little strange to admit but going out, fighting crime and helping people is actually helping me a bit. The world may be stark raving mad but this is at least giving me an outlet to deal with it. Also maybe, just maybe I am making a difference here. If I catch a half dozen muggers in one night that represents a lot of people able to get home safely.


Journal 4 Entry 7

Oh what the hell? Maybe I had been playing against the rules of the world too much by trying to be as quiet and clean of my taking down criminals as possible. This definitely feels like a punishment.
It was late at night I was out doing my thing. I had cornered a guy in a pool hall. The pool hall was closed we were the only ones in there I was trying to get him to talk because I suspect that a lot of the crime in this city is not random.

Anyways I am tossing the guy around trying to put the fear of god in him. I throw him in to an arcade machine on accident. For a moment I felt bad because I thought I had broken it… The damn machine transforms like a Optimus Prime with arms and legs popping out.

Before I can react because this damn thing is fast It grabs the guy I’m trying to get information out of by the back of the head and crushes it like a grape.

I didn’t have long to contemplate the situation because the thing charged at me as soon as the guy hit the floor.

It was the worst fight that I have ever had! This thing somehow was magic resistant, it’s was as strong and fast as I am if not more so. It was also pretty skillful in the martial arts, also it had lasers (coin operated mind you).

This demon wearing the guise of an arcade machine beat the hell out of me throughout the city. It was ridiculously tough and mean. Anyone who happened to wander close enough to us it tried to take out.

I had wanted to remain secret and a myth to the streets of Miami that plans shot.

Anyways I threw everything I had it, cars and buildings were exploding. Eventually somehow I emerged victorious.

I’m barely standing trying to catch my breath when some guy walks up wearing a tattered red bandana and a leather jacket with badge on it.

He told me that was one hell of a fight I just had, something rather obvious. He said he tried to get here earlier to help but by the time he arrived it looked like I had things in hand. I managed to hold my tongue.

He said the moves that I was using were very familiar and asked me the strangest question I have ever been asked. “Were you struck by lightning and bit by a cobra then shown visions of Shaolin monks learning kung fu?” Even stranger I answered honestly… yes. Honestly I didn’t mention it because I wasn’t sure it was real and not some weird dream when I arrived here.

He said he thought he was the only one, the chosen one. I told him honestly I don’t know anything about any prophecy I just know what I can do. He nodded and seemed to accept that.

He told me that if I wanted to fight crime I should become a cop.


Journal 4 Entry 10

Well this was a new experience for me today. I actually got to travel in time. Apparently Igniculus is a friend with a humanoid triceratops named Triceracop and his partner got in to some trouble in 1940s Nazi Germany, somehow. Well apparently Triceracop and some hacker guy were gathering allies to go help him out Iggy was there with them. Iggy tells them he knows someone who can help.

So I went to Nazi Germany and fought the forces of Hitler who was a Kung Fu master. I can’t make this up. The guy we went to save was same one who suggested I become a cop. His name is Kung Fury by the way. No I am not sure if that’s the name he was born with or he changed it after the Cobra and lightning thing. Anyways I brought him back from the dead with light magic. The Norse god of thunder was there with us so me showing I had magic… not a big deal really.

Anyways it was a complete rout, The Nazis just didn’t stand a chance and Hitler… well I am not sure if he died getting crushed by Thor’s hammer. I want to say yes but I examined the point where he got squashed and there was no blood and no wreckage of his giant robot eagle. Anyways the day was saved and that’s sadly the closest I have gotten to a super hero team up.

There is some talk about forming a special police force with everyone who was there; it’s still in the idea stage but what the hell if they invite me sure. It’s probably as close as I will ever get to being in the Justice League.



Journal 4 Entry 20


Well this is quite a web I have unraveled. I started noticing things about the gangs here. They were a bit too well equipped and organized. I then worked my way up each layer expecting the next to be the last. Wouldn’t you know when I finally unraveled everything it lead to one of the richest and most powerful men in the country. Maxwell Powers, A rich business man who apparently got a substantial amount of his money controlling most of the crime that happens in Miami and a good chunk of the country.

Normally I would be turning all this information I got in to the police but I have evidence from my investigation that the higher ups are already in his pocket. He has an almost literal army of lawyers even if I did manage to make something stick.

It gets worse too. He has his hands in politics, I have evidence he has sunk his claws in to the Vice President of the United States. I don’t know what he has on him but whatever it is, it’s bad. Speaking of bad apparently things get even worse. I uncovered a plot to kill the President to install his puppet in to the white house to do his bidding.

I am not sure who I can trust with this. I have asked Hackerman and Kung Fury for help. It’s times like this I wish Bruce or really any of the Bat family were here that knew what they were doing. I am just flying by the seat of my pants, trying not to screw up.


Journal 4 Entry 25

It’s been a while since I wrote…. It’s been a long few weeks. A lot has happened. Let’s see, we managed to fight a small army of martial artist hit men that Powers had hired to take us out. Somehow he had gotten wind we were on to him.

Apparently when that didn’t work he just framed us for one of his plots to kill the President which meant we were fugitives. That was not fun; it’s a lot easier dealing with criminals than law enforcement because you don’t really want to fight back there. These are people doing their jobs. Thankfully I can use magic to put people to sleep. That helped a lot. Also I have gotten a lot better at my long distance teleports.

We snuck our way on to Airforce-1 because there was a bomb on it, we disarmed the bomb moments before it exploded only to finally be caught by the Secret Service. However they saw we just disarmed a bomb so they were inclined to believe us when we said we were set up.
That done we were left to take down Powers himself. We were going to arrest him, we show up at his Skyscraper to deliver the warrant and the bastard had a personal army waiting for us. Apparently subtlety had been tossed out the door.

We fought our way through his army of security, mercenaries and psychopaths only to come face to face with that damn Arcade Machine again… and I swear it had been upgraded.
I don’t know if I could have beat it on my own, if Kung Fury weren’t there to help and if Hackerman weren’t working to try and shut it down remotely I don’t think I would have survived.
Finally it came time to serve Maxwell Powers his warrant and take him in to custody… Yeah it would be nice if things went that way.

Maxwell it turned out had upgraded himself with Nazi Kung Fu technology making him a Kung Fu Cyborg.

We were a bit worn from the fight with the Arcade Machine and that Fucker was stronger.
Still we fought on, it was looking grim but I guess he pushed himself a little too hard as his Cyborg parts began to malfunction and Kung Fury kicked him out of a window. I should mention we were in his top floor office in the Skyscraper.

So in the end we won, it wasn’t as cleanly as I would have liked. We did get the Presidential Medal of Freedom and Hackerman is now dating the President’s daughter (he had saved her previously during this).



Journal 4 Entry 29

Well I have officially joined the new police force set up by Kung Fury. After saving the President and becoming the most popular heroes ever it was almost inevitable something like this was going to happen.

What surprises me though is the underworld is still in turmoil after the death of Maxwell Powers. I fully expected someone to rise up to take his place as the new kingpin of crime. Instead things have fallen in to infighting; crime is down an absurd amount especially in Miami which makes no sense with the infighting that’s going on.

I seem to remember some weird ability I got in the last world that when I defeat something their influence goes away instead of continuing to cause harm. I can only chock it up to that.

We are still hunting major criminals like Hitler who at this point I am sure is still out there but things are going very well here at least professionally.

I am a little troubled that a few people on the team have been asking Igniculus when he is going to make an honest woman of me. He was confused by that and I was the one who had to explain it… We just aren’t that way. I don’t think of him that way. We may live together and I could see why people would think that but we just are close because he knows what I have gone through… well some of it.


Journal 4 Entry 59

Since things had been quiet I posed a few ideas to Hackerman about approaching certain companies with Ideas for things that would happen. It looks like we will be getting the Internet a bit early (well in the form I know it as), We are already setting up Google for it (With the help of the CIA, who came to us when we started floating the idea). We also are preparing Amazon for when things get rolling.

It’s almost scary how fast things are starting to move.


Journal 4 Entry 80

Um Wow… I mean I thought things were going fast before but the internet is up, Amazon is doing business like crazy. We reverse engineered some of the stuff I had from Gotham so we will be getting tech like cell phones and Laptops soon.

I don’t know how much money I have anymore but we are well in the BILLIONS right now and it’s taking a team of accountants to manage it. It’s actually a little scary with how well things are going. I am almost expecting someone to invent Skynet or something because things are going too well and everything isn’t exploding.

There is a bit of tension on the force. Some of the people in the squad aren’t happy that I spend as much time, making insane amounts of money rather than fighting crime but it’s been quiet out there. I mean sure the criminal underworld has stabilized now but it’s nowhere near what it was under Maxwell Powers.

Anyways I have started some philanthropic organizations. My first organization is targeting prison reform. We are lobbying for sentencing reform so that career criminals aren’t just released on the streets to commit more crimes. I have also started a youth initiative trying to get kids off the street and make sure they never become criminals in the first place. Lastly I have made an organization to help the homeless, a cause close to my heart. I am trying to get them off the street and provide them with services like psychiatric services so no runaway little girl gets stabbed by some crazy man looking for food. In short I took my ideas to fix Gotham and am applying them here.

Some of these are popular like the helping the homeless but the prison reform acts have people calling me a racist. All I can say is if you lived in Gotham like I did you would respect prison reform; honestly I am just glad they don’t have criminals breaking out every 5 minutes like in Gotham.


Journal 4 Entry 82

I knew things were going too well. So I was headed to a meeting… which by the way Is a sentence now a days I could describe most of what happens to me. Anyways an armed group tried to kidnap me. I mean at this point it’s not even unexpected I am insanely rich, So I am fighting off kidnappers trying to protect the people who work for me.

Then Suddenly I am on my ass sprawled out because that god damn Arcade Machine showed back up and sucker punched me.

I don’t even want to think about the amount of damage we did in the fight today. I was able to keep the loss of life to a minimum despite the thing deliberately targeting innocent people knowing I would protect them.

Anyways I was able to hold the thing off long enough for some help to arrive, thankfully it was only as strong as last time but when you’re defending other people it makes it harder to land a telling blow.

Anyways the other cops arrived and managed to get people to safety so I could finish it off. I disintegrated it this time so it wouldn’t return.


Journal 4 Entry 729

It’s been a wild ride in this world but it’s coming to an end soon. It will be 10 years tomorrow that I arrived here and I’ll be leaving again.

I have funneled as much as I could out of my companies and put them in to gold, jewels and weaponry in my warehouse. I have prepared many things for after I leave so that what I began will continue. It’s strange to say but I’ll miss this world. I’ll miss those people I fought crime with. At the beginning this world made no sense to me but I guess anything can make sense if you try hard enough to understand it.

One more thing of note happened. Today the Arcade Machine appeared again. I thought it was going to be some big rumble but it bended its knee to me. I was stunned when it didn’t want to fight. It seemed to have a preternatural hatred of me. However it seems… docile and I get the feeling it wants to come along and be friends now. Just one more thing about this crazy world I would have never expected.

I wonder how Iggy will feel about our new travel companion. Speaking of Igniculus he seems a little sad about our leaving too. I am glad he is coming along but I know he made many friends here he will miss.
