doomwake pois

large foundation, just inside another ring of walls- temple to uula, built into the wall, one of the only sections of wall still standing. Interior has a statue and altar. hidden at the back is a group of skeletons, seemingly huddled together. hostile spirits "protect" the temple.

numerous medium foundations- a string of various shops and businesses. some of the basements have some loot.

odd-shaped foundation- shrine to Ilryie. There are numerous coins in a vault beneath it, guarded by divine knight constructs.

ruined gateway- leads out of the city into what would have been a forest. towards custodian's former shrine.

massive foundation- an old mansion. beneath it there is a big underground compound. has spirits and magic-protections both.

medium foundation- a government building. the basement has more books/scrolls with records in them.

crater- former site of the diamond engine. in the center sits the remnants of the diamond heart and the body of Nin.

the crater has its own moisture system, creating clouds over it and fog inside of it

at the center is the weakly beating diamond heart, feeding on the souls of the doomwake. The body of Nin sits again a piece of rubble nearby.

researcher camp is still in good condition, things don't seem to have been ransacked, most things still remain

the cart and device holding Bolgrin are gone

several researchers are gone (four of them), including the suspicious one.

Alessandra's corpse has its eyes and mouth leaking a viscous black fluid. She is positioned as if attacking a number of researchers.
the rest of the researches lie dead on the ground, clutching their heads, clawing at their faces.

Ink-Eyes has taken the cart, device, and Bolgrin north towards the Rook. They have 3 days headstart.

at the Rook, the Ink-Eyes members are slain, decapitated, cleaved in half, etc. The cart and device sit outside the tower, Bolgrin still trapped inside.

he has no direct contact with ink-eyes, the priests of black fingers act as intermediaries between ink-eyes and the rest of the organization, though he imagines other highly important people may be allowed to meet her.

the mission as directed was to retrieve the device from the researchers and then lure the party here and capture the spirit they provoked. if things went south they were instructed to attempt capture then speak a specific word, which would teleport them to safety, but only teleported the device/cart.

the pay for the mission was significant, the danger of the doomwake is well known to even the lesser members of ink-eyes. he'd not have taken this mission if not for the promised reward.

he doesn't know what ink-eyes wants with the spirits

they were told to not attempt to enter the tower, this was stressed to them. Do not enter, do not attempt to loot anything.

this specific mission was being organized by someone new to him, an elf clad in gold and silk. The rat is afraid of the elf. His mannerisms are warm and inviting, but his eyes are full of contempt. he orchestrated the mission and planned everything out, though obviously didn't participate himself. he seemed to know the spirit hear would be drawn out by Ash.

If he speaks too freely about this, ink-eyes will interrupt him, killing the rat as she taunts the party.

Tsk. This one has already said too much... a disappointment through and through. However, I must thank you for your assistance in capturing Joriel and Bolgrin.
