Over the years, he has been involved in renewable energy projects implemented by the Government, particularly the small/micro hydro power projects. Mewang Gyeltshen 	Project Director 	Department of Renewable Energy 	<p>Mr. Mewang Gyeltshen currently works as the Chief Engineer at Alternate Energy Division, Department of Renewable Energy. He has been working in the energy sector over 20 years at various capacities handling the programme and projects mostly supported by multilateral development partners.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Mr. Gyeltshen has Master of Science Degree in Engineering and Policy Analysis from the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and the Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee in India.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>By way of an advanced training, Mr. Gyeltshen is a System Engineer and Policy Analyst, anchoring on creating the knowledge of and in the policy making processes in the areas of renewable energy, poverty and climate change issues under multi-actor system environment.</p> 	Alternate Energy Division
Ugyen 	Project Manager 	Department of Renewable Energy 	<p>Mr. Ugyen joined civil service in the year 2006 as an engineer. Over the years, he has been involved in many renewable energy related projects implemented by the Government, particulary the micro hydropower project, solar and biomass energy initiatives. Currently, he is spearheading the "Bhutan Sustainable Biomass Energy Project" funded by GEF, UNDP and other development partners in his capacity as the National Project Manager.</p> <p>He holds bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, India; Postgraduate certificate in Energy Studies, Postgraduate Diploma in Energy Studies, and Master of Science in Renewable Energy from the Murdoch University, WA, Australia.</p> 	Alternate Energy Division
Cheki Dorji 	Project Support Officer 	Department of Renewable Energy 	<p style="font-weight: normal; color: #333;">&nbsp;</p> <div>Mr. Cheki Dorji joined SRBE Project, Department of Renewable Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs in 2012 as Assistant Program Officer. He works under the direct supervision of Project Manager.&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Cheki earned his bachelor&rsquo;s degree in English and Dzongkha from Sherubtse College, Royal University of Bhutan.</div> 	Alternate Energy Division
Tashi Wangchuk 	Forestry Officer 	Department of Forests and Park Services 	<p>Mr. Tashi Wangchuk currently works as the Forestry Officer in Social Forestry and Extension Division (SFED), Department of Forests and Park Services under Ministry of Agriculture and Forests. He has been working in the Dzongkhags as Dzongkhag Forestry Officer for more than 18 years before he was transferred to SFED in early 2013.</p> <p>In SFED, he also works with various international donor agencies like World Bank, Swiss Development Corporation, etc. among others. Beside Project tied programs and activities, he provides technical backstopping to 20 Dzongkhag Forestry Sector and 205 Geog Forestry Extension Officers. <br /> <br />Mr. Tashi Wangchuk has Master Degree in Forestry Science, with Major in Tropical Forestry from Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand in 2011 and Postgraduate Diploma from the same University in 2007.</p> 	Social Forestry and Extension Division (SFED)
Pema Tshewang 	Project Leader - II 	Department of Renewable Energy 	<div>Mr. Pema Tshewang joined civil service in January 2014. He is currently working&nbsp; under Sustainable Rural Biomass Energy Project implemented under Alternate Energy Division,&nbsp; Department of Renewable Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs.<br /> </div> <p>He holds Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from College of Science and Technology (CST), Royal University of Bhutan, Phuentsholing, Chukha.</p> 	Alternate Energy Division
