  1. [17:51] +Rhydonphilip: They had no plans to have mega evolution to come back this gen, however, I too lack any source saying it will be back for the follow up game (which is sorta gen9, they split arcade style and the new style to be 2 series now)
  2. [17:52] Oathkeepre: figured yea
  3. [17:54] +Rhydonphilip: also, gimme a sec to catch up on the direct, because I also have more info on dpp remakes and the next game from leaks which were posted like 3 hours before direct even became live
  4. [17:56] Oathkeepre: oh
  5. [17:56] Oathkeepre: consider me intrigued
  6. [18:01] +Rhydonphilip: oh right release in november, as per usual. Pokemon Legends was suggested to be a legacy of sorts, with the original leaker (literally 4 or so months ago now) saying it would go over all the gens seperatly in a retelling. I didn't think it would be a literal story telling
  7. [18:02] Oathkeepre: interesting
  8. [18:02] +Rhydonphilip: but not complaining there. That series of legends however will be a seperate new "gen" of sorts. The combat is mostly the same except now with stamina like Final Fantasy/TemTem has instead of PP
  9. [18:02] Oathkeepre: right
  10. [18:03] +Rhydonphilip: as you saw, you can throw pokeballs at pokemon directly or directly engage incombat where you stand. If you don't have any pokemon on you, you can, no joke, fist fight them yourself
  11. [18:03] +Rhydonphilip: you "faint" if you run out of health, not your mons
  12. [18:03] +Rhydonphilip: LOL
  13. [18:03] +Rhydonphilip: Its truely brilliant
  14. [18:03] Oathkeepre: oml
  15. [18:04] Oathkeepre: idk whether to get it for the lore or for the gameplay or both lol
  16. [18:04] +Rhydonphilip: idk, but I do not mind that design decision
  17. [18:04] Oathkeepre: same here
  18. [18:05] +Rhydonphilip: eitherway, stamina includes almost all actions you make(idk if switching costs any) so there will be a limit to how many moves your mons each can make, instead of a limit of how many times you can use each move
  19. [18:05] Oathkeepre: sounds like a cool mechanic
  20. [18:06] +Rhydonphilip: which is literally what temtem uses, I could show you gameplay of that and it's essentially that. It's overall a better option then having to waste multiple turns on a mon spamming recover or clicking one attacking button over and over
  21. [18:06] Oathkeepre: which can get boring lol
  22. [18:07] +Rhydonphilip: it's still turnbased and and there is no notice of them removing any current mechanics, so I assume abilities still activate
  23. [18:07] Oathkeepre: most likely yeah
  24. [18:10] +Rhydonphilip: oh right, only the 3 starters you saw, for got to mention that bit. There is a thread I had opend on phone but can't find it
  25. [18:11] Oathkeepre: i guess my question is
  26. [18:11] Oathkeepre: will these same mons be allowed like the DPP remake mons will be?
  27. [18:12] +Rhydonphilip: I don't actually know anything on what pokemon will be available, idk if they will even be transferable as they outright wanted it as a split series developed seperatly. the classic series is now in hands of the people who made pokebank
  28. [18:12] Oathkeepre: *crossing fingers*
  29. [18:12] +Rhydonphilip: they did in the trailer mention you start with the classic dex, but there will infact be downloadable content(no clue of paid) be for arceus tale
  30. [18:13] +Rhydonphilip: (which they didn't mean to share but still did caue coro coro has their hands in the good stuff)
  31. [18:13] +Rhydonphilip: all I just stated is stuff they will explain in coro coro comming in like 2 months
  32. [18:14] Oathkeepre: mhm, now's the hard part
  33. [18:14] Oathkeepre: waiting
  34. [18:15] +Rhydonphilip: ye it's planned for next year, I would expect not too long into next year as GF actually had since dlc 1 to work on this
  35. [18:15] +Rhydonphilip: (with full force)
  36. [18:15] +Rhydonphilip: while sw/sh was made in uh, 75 people (half force) in 1.5 year
