  1. Avoiding Google Penalties Trick?
  2. I've been seeing one of my competitors on Google changing his domain to a different one on all of his websites. I didn't understand and still don't 100% understand - however it seems like he is doing this to avoid having his domain penalized and to keep his content ranked.

  14. This is what he is doing:
  15. 1. His original domain/blog with all of his content (keeps domain for a while)
  16. 2. Redirects his original domain (a 301 redirect) to a new domain with all of his content transferred there too.
  17. 3. Changes theme/logo quite often as well.
  18.
  19. I typed his original domain on Google like this 'site:domain.com' and nothing came up. Literally nothing. I tried his new one and this new domain is ranked a long with his previous content from his original domain (I don't believe all of his posts are ranked - only around 9 pages, out of like 200+.) I believe he is doing 301 redirects to a domain (an expired domain possibly holding more power) the domains look like those one's that can be purchased for over $1,800 because it's not all that original.
  20.
  21. Is he doing this to avoid getting penalized - before or after getting penalized - to keep his sites low key? What do you think the reason for changing domains often could be?
  22.
  23. I don't know what to think.
  24. Now understand, I was seeing something similar as well. thanks
  25. I'm not sure how long a penalty takes to follow a 301? Or even if it always does? @Nargil might know? Think I saw him taking about it a while back
  26.
  27. Would you like to earn more with your Amazon affiliate website??
  28. I guess the reason is his domains get penalized, but he wants to keep his rankings. So he gets a expired domain, transfer his content and make a 301 redirect from his penalized domain to the new (expired) domain. Sometimes it takes 2-3 days until the new domain gets penalized as well, but sometimes it also happens the new domains doesn't get penalized at all. Its really a hit and miss. I guess the guy OP is talking about got penalized a few times and keep transfering his content and doing 301s until he doesn't get penalized.
  29.
  30. But I don't think he is doing it to avoid getting penalized in the first place. I think he already has been penalized, just trying to keep up his rankings. With other words: The Titanic is sinking - on the upper floors the people are still dancing, while on the lower floors the people already drowned.

  32. What @nakamura said. Also, one thing to take into account is, that the old domain was not penalized at all and the guy just does this as an preemptive action.
  33.
  34. And this wasn’t just a flash in the pan – the increase remained constant.

  38. Nisha PandeyI would suggest that beginners should lay a huge emphasis on their email content. Your emails are directed at people who are already interested in receiving messages from you. So there is a very high chance that they will open your messages.

  40.
  41. To simply put, SEO helps you get more visitors from search engines like Google to your websites by using few strategies such as link building, on page SEO, keyword research etc. You’ll find all those strategies in the same post (so don’t panic about the terms).
  42.
  43. 2. What are the types of SEO?
  44.
  45. There are 3 main types of SEO which include:
  46.
  47. White hat SEO: White hat SEO focuses on users instead of search engines (that’s what Google loves too) and requires a lot of time and efforts. This is the preferable type of SEO you should follow if you want to get more out of search engines. It includes tactics like content marketing, mobile optimization, keyword research, competitor analysis etc.
  48. Black hat SEO: You should absolutely avoid this type of SEO as Google penalizes the sites that practice black hat SEO techniques. It includes things like link cloaking, keyword stuffing,
  49. WordPress is search engine friendly and gives you access to a ton of tools, plugins and themes that you can use to make your site more user friendly and appealing. Also make sure to pick the RIGHT hosting for your WordPress site as your hosting can make or break your blogging success.
  50.
  51. 6. How much does SEO cost?
  52.
  53. SEO can be expensive. It is one of the few industries in digital marketing which is worth of billion dollars and SEO industry is growing rapidly.
  54.
  55. At an average, an SEO expert charges $100 per hour. It can go all the way up to several thousand dollars depending upon the SEO expert or agency you choose. That means SEO usually costs you $500 to $5000 or even more every month.
  56.
  57. If you’re running a small business or want more sales to your local business, investing on SEO can give you biggest returns. So instead of thinking SEO like a spending, consider it as an investment for the long term, you’ll be profitable.
  58.
  59. You can invest on SEO for things like link building, on page optimization, competitor analysis, paid advertising etc depending on the type of your business or website.
  60.
  61. Quick tip: If you don’t want to spend any money on SEO, you’ve only one choice: learn and practice it. It takes time but the best way to get better results from SEO for cheap is to start a blog, learn from best SEO blogs and implement what you learn to get results. Otherwise, you can consider hiring a writer who can manage all the content marketing for you at limited budget.
  62.
  63. 7. How long does it usually take to get results from SEO?
  64.
  65. We’ve been doing SEO for so many years now and we know one thing for sure: getting results from SEO takes time. There’s no exact answer on how long does it usually take to get SEO results but we can give you an idea about it.
  66.
  67. It usually takes 6 to 8 months (or at least 1 year if you’re entering into a competitive industry) to start getting results such as search visitors, leads and sales to your sites from search engines like Google.
  68.
  69. You’ll considerably be getting better results as you continue doing SEO for long time when compared to short term results. That means whatever the search traffic that you get to your site in the first 6 months will be much lesser when compared to the next 6 months and so on.
