- Superkids: Saladora
- "I seriously hope we don't have to face any more enemies like Caligula for a very long time", Sally Blitzer remarks. Sally and her brother Felix are resting up at their house in Grandeur City. A few days ago, they fought a tough battle against the evil entity Caligula, which they only won because Marcus and Mavis, twin Superkids with clairvoyant abilities, were able to summon an army of ghosts to banish Caligula from the Earth. Since then, the other Superkids who fought in that battle have left Grandeur City to check in with their parents, or undertake missions for D.A.N.G. (Defense Against Nuclear Genocide), an organization that a lot of the Superkids' parents work for and that often asks the Superkids to help with investigating stuff and other missions. The Superkids are not directly agents of D.A.N.G., as most of them prefer being superheroes to being super-spies.
- "You suppose we ought to go to the D.A.N.G. base in what's left of New York City and check in with our own parents?", Felix suggests.
- "Sounds like a plan to me. Besides, I am kinda bored", Sally replies. Felix morphs into a kitten and jumps onto Sally's shoulder. Sally takes off running at super-speed and they arrive in New York City an hour or so later.
- "We heard about your battle with that Caligula monster. Are you two okay?", Sally's and Felix's mother asks them as soon as the arrive at the D.A.N.G. base.
- "We're fine", Sally and Felix assure her.
- "Good, because we could use your help", Their father asks as he enters the room.
- "What's up?, Felix asks.
- "A string of robberies in what used to be the state of Texas. it was the second-largest state in the country. That being said, you have a lot of area to search for the perpetrator in. I suggest you assemble a team of Superkids and head to Texas right away. We would investigate it ourselves but we're busy with another assignment and we figure you kids can handle a simple robber", their father explains.
- "I hope its that simple. After that fight we had with Caligula, I don't want to go on any real tough missions for a while", Sally remarks. Their parents hand them a file labeled "for Ryan and Nemona Blitzer (and Saladora and Felix Blitzer if need be)". D.A.N.G. always labels mission files this way for their parents, in case their parents decide to have them take on the mission instead.
- "This file contains info we gathered about Texas. There's been a lot of freaky stuff there in the past, so be careful", their father explains. Sally and Felix grab the file and rush to Texas.
- "According to this file, D.A.N.G. used to have a base inside a Texas landmark that was known as the Alamo. They abandoned the base a while back, but they left enough there that we can use it as a base of operations while we're in Texas", Felix suggests.
- "When we get to this Alamo place, I'll call the other Superkids and see who all is free to help us search for the robber", Sally decides.
- A short time later, Sally and Felix are gathered at the Alamo with Norman Rayne, Julie Rayne, Michael Drayren, and Penelope Irons.
- "Pedro and Daffney are on a mission with Pedro's mother and the twins are off investigating a haunting on the other side of the world. It's just gonna be the six of us looking for the robber. Texas is a pretty big State so we all need to split up and search different areas of it. When one of us finds the robber, or at least a possible suspect, we should contact the others and rendezvous.", Felix explains. The six Superkids look at a map of Texas and divide it into six parts. Each Superkid picks a different part to investigate. One by one, they head out to their destinations.
- Sally rushes off heading northeast. After running for a while, she stops to check the map in her watch. The wind picks up as she goes to pull the map up. It nearly blows the cowboy hat she's wearing off of her head and her red hair blows around like crazy, and she's forced to hold her skirt down until the wind dies down. Sally ties her hair up in a pony tail and puts her hat back on her head. She notices a bunch of lights in the distance. Sally checks her map and is surprised to see a town listed on it as Saladora, Texas. She decides she has to check out this town, and rushes towards the lights.
- Sally reaches Saladora, Texas and sees a surprising sight. All around the town are signs and billboards depicting different Superkids. Sally notices statues of several Superkids in the town's park. Sally stands next to a statue of herself and poses exactly like the statue.
- "Someone in this town sure has an obsession with us Superkids. I hope that someone is friendly", Sally remarks to herself. She realizes the whole town could be one big trap. As she ponders this, the townsfolk come out in droves and surround her.
- "It is her", a man proclaims.
- "It's Saladora. The very Superkid we named our town after", an elderly woman adds. The townsfolk lift Sally over their heads and carry her to Town Hall. They deposit her right in front of a stout gentleman whom Sally realizes must be the town's Mayor.
- "Greetings, Miss Blitzer, and welcome to the town of Saladora", the mayor remarks.
- "What is this place? a whole town of rabid Superkids fans?", Sally asks. A teenager walks up beside the mayor. Sally notices he looks like a younger version of the mayor.
- "This is my son, Frederick. He has a huge crush on you, Saladora, and really wanted to meet you. That being said, I re-named the town after you and put up all these statues, signs, and billboards depicting you and the other Superkids as a way to lure you here so my son could meet you", the mayor explains. Sally blushes.
- "It's nice to know we have fans out here in the middle of nowhere", Sally remarks. Frederick moves towards Sally and puckers his lips for a kiss, but Sally darts backwards.
- "Woah there, dude. You're getting ahead of yourself", Sally yells, "You should take a girl out to dinner first and then try to kiss her". Frederick realizes Sally is flirting with him now.
- "I can get you two lovebirds VIP seats at the best restaurant in town", the mayor suggests.
- "Sounds good to me", Sally replies, "Besides, I'm starving".
- Felix leaves from the Alamo heading northwest. In the form of a cheetah, he runs across the desert. After a while, Felix enters a forest. Its late and starting to get dark. Felix shifts from a cheetah to a panther and climbs up into the trees. He settles in for a catnap, but is suddenly startled by a noise in the trees. Shifting back to human form, Felix looks around and notices a pair of glowing red eyes staring at him.
- "Who's there?", Felix asks. A creature steps out onto a nearby tree branch. It stands as tall as a man, but is jet-black in color and has a pair of huge black wings. Felix has read about this creature. It's called Mothman.
- "What do you want?", Felix asks the Mothman. The creature doesnt answer, at least not out loud. It reaches out with one of its talons and scratches at the trunk of the tree its perched in, then lifts off and flies away. Felix can see that the creature carved a word into the tree.
- "Saladora", Felix reads. Realizing that his sister may be in trouble, and hoping the Mothman isn't the "trouble" in question, Felix turns back into a cheetah and races off in the direction Sally had been heading.
- Michael heads east from the Alamo. after a while, he finds himself enter the ruins of a city. Checking his watch map, Michael learns the city was named Dallas. A small part of the city has been revived since the Nuclear Apocalypse and a few people live there. Michael makes his way to the inhabited part of Dallas to question the locals about the string of robberies that have been occurring in Texas.
- "Any of you know where the person who's been robbing Texas towns is hiding out at?", Michael asks out loud. A man who had been reading an old newspaper sets down his paper and walks over to Michael.
- "All I know about the robber is that he never stays in one place very long", the main explains, "By the way, aren't you one of them Superkids? If so, you really should check out a town called Saladora that's located here in Texas. Everyone in that town is a rabid fan of you Superkids. The mayor even re-named the town after a female Superkid that his son has a huge crush on".
- "A friend of mine lives in that town", a nearby woman responds, "She contacted me a little while ago and said the very Superkid that the town was re-named after arrived in the town earlier today". Michael realizes Dallas is a dead end and, having nothing better to do, heads to Saladora, Texas.
- Penelope finds herself outside a creepy old mansion soon after leaving the Alamo. Realizing the mansion would be the perfect place for a robber to hide out, Penelope bravely steps inside. She almost immediately gets an eerie feeling that makes her wish Marcus and Mavis were with her.
- "If that robber is hiding in here, I better arm myself", Penelope realizes. Using her technopathic abilities, Penelope brings together a large number of metal parts, including pieces of disassembled firearms. She combines them into a single weapon that looks like a small bazooka. Penelope retrieves several kinds of bullets from the room that gun parts had come from. As she pockets the bullets, Penelope hears sounds coming from the upper floors, as if someone else is in the house. Penelope races up to the top floor. She hears the noises again, this time coming from below where she is.
- "I must've gone up too many floors. There's five floors and I heard the noises above me on the first floor and now below me while I'm on the fifth floor. They must be coming from around the third floor", Penelope reasons. She heads back down a couple floors. The noises occur again, and this time they are coming from the same floor Penelope is on. The floor She's on has 6 rooms. Four of them are bedrooms, one is a small kitchen, and the sixth is a bathroom. The kitchen door is ajar and Penelope sees the Mirror in the kitchen suddenly fog up by itself and then the word "Saladora" is carved into the fogged glass. Penelope pushes the kitchen door open the rest of the way, but no one is in there.
- "Whoever you are, I am not Sally, If that's who you're looking for", Penelope warns. More words appear in the fog, making the message read "go to Saladora". Penelope realizes the mansion is haunted, but without Marcus and Mavis she has no way to identify who or what is haunting it. Penelope is suddenly grabbed by an invisible hand. Shadow figures appear in the darkness and seem to be moving towards Penelope. Penelope reaches for her cell phone to call Marcus and Mavis, but before she can a bright burst of light explodes in through the window and the shadow figures disappear. The message in the mirror vanishes too. Penelope looks out the window and sees Julie standing outside the mansion. Penelope quickly heads back down stairs and rushes out of the mansion.
- "I saw the dark figures in the window, so I fired a burst of light to dispel them", Julie explains.
- "Those ghosts, or whatever they were, left a message in a mirror saying "go to Saladora". They may have been trying to tell us that Sally is in trouble", Penelope explains. She motions to the mansion's garage. The garage door opens up and a motorcycle zooms out and stops right beside Penelope and Julie.
- "Pretty cool, huh. I can control any kind of vehicle with my technopathy", Penelope explains. The girls hop on the bike and zoom off, heading in the same direction that Penelope remembered seeing Sally head off in.
- Norman had actually started off in the same direction as Sally, but then turned west after a certain point. He passed a number of abandoned ranches, eventually ending up in a small town that resembles the towns Norman had seen in a book about "the old west". Norman enters a building marked "saloon", remembering that it was the place in an old west town where townsfolk often gathered. The first thing that catches his eye is a girl about the same height as himself. She's wearing a cowboy hat, a brown vest over a violet skirt, and brown boots. To Norman, she looks like a typical cowgirl.
- "What brings a gentlemen such as yourself to our fine little town?", the cowgirl asks.
- "Me and some friends of mine are investigating a series of robberies that occurred in this area", Norman explains.
- "I heard about that, but this town hasn't been robbed. We have our own problems right now, though. We've been going through a drought here. Haven't had any rain for almost a month", the cowgirl explains. Norman quickly conjures a rainstorm and hears the sound of townsfolk gathering outside.
- "I thought you looked familiar", the cowgirl remarks, "You're Norman Rayne, the Superkid with weather powers".
- "Yep", Norman responds.
- "My name's Violet by the way", the Cowgirl continues, "Nice of them over in Saladora to send help our way".
- "What are you talking about?", Norman asks.
- "The town east of here. It's called Saladora", Violet explains, "The mayor changed the town's name to get the attention of you Superkids. From what I hear, his son has a crush on the Superkid he re-named the town after".
- "I have to see this for myself", Norman decides. He runs off, heading east. He arrives in the town of Saladora at the same time as Felix, Michael, Penelope, and Julie.
- "How'd you end up here?", The Superkids ask each other. Mothman, the old man with the newspaper, an invisible person holding a hand mirror that has "hi" written in fog on it, and the cowgirl Violet all appear to them, then seemingly vanish. A dark-haired boy appearing to be about 13 or 14 years old walks up to them. He's wearing a white tuxedo, blue jeans, and a black cape. The Superkids note that the boy looks like a stage magician. This reminds Felix of something and he pulls up the Superkids database on his spy watch.
- "Ezekiel Keith Castor. Superpower: magician", Felix reads off.
- "I prefer the term "illusionist", but yeah my name's Ezekiel", the boy reveals. He explains that he can conjure illusions.
- "There's something strange going on in this town, but I didn't want to investigate it by myself, so I sent out some of my illusions to lead you all here. Saladora managed to find her way here without me needing to "guide" her here, though", Ezekiel explains. The six Superkids walk into the town of Saladora together, and the locals quickly take notice. Michael, Felix, Penelope, Norman, and Julie and swarmed by the townsfolk, who are looking for autographs. Ezekiel, who isn't as famous as the others, sneaks away during all the commotion.
- "Time to find out what the mayor is hiding", Ezekiel remarks to himself. He enters the mayor's mansion through an open window and heads up to the top floor (the building has 3 floors). He finds a room full of pictures of Sally, and deduces it to be Frederick's room. Ezekiel notices how pretty Sally is and instantly knows why the mayor's son fell for her. He has to force himself to leave the room. He next enters the mayor's study, where he finds photos of multiple Superkids.
- "He doesn't seem to have any pics of me. I guess the mayor doesn't know every Superkid. Granted, I haven't exactly taken part in any major battles with the other Superkids, so he probably wouldn't know me", Ezekiel realizes. Not finding anything in the study, Ezekiel decides to explore the other rooms in the mansion. As he walks down the hall, one of the doors on the left side opens up, releasing a bit of steam into the hall. Ezekiel then sees a brunette-haired girl appearing to be around his age, or slightly younger, emerge from the room whose door opened. He panics a bit, as the girl has nothing on but a large towel. She notices him, and panics herself before quickly darting into a room across the hall. She emerhes a short time later wearing a green shirt, light blue miniskirt, red shorts, and pink sneakers. Her hair is now tied in a ponytail.
- "Sorry about catching you like that", Ezekiel apologizes.
- "I didn't expect any one else to be on this floor of the mansion", the girl admits, "By the way, I'm Annabeth Chrome. Mayor Chrome is my father and Frederick Chrome is my brother. people usually call me Annie and my brother Freddy".
- "I kinda snuck into the mansion to find out what your father's plans regarding the Superkids are. Your brother is preparing for a dinner date with Saladora Blitzer, and I suspect your father has other reasons for wanting the Superkids here", Ezekiel explains.
- "By any chance did you use your powers to send out illusions to find Sally's friends and lead them here, Ezekiel Castor?", Annie inquires.
- "Yeah I did, and I'm guessing you recognize me even though your father doesn't seem to?", Ezekiel remarks.
- "I've actually been to some of your magic shows, unlike my father and brother. Why did you choose to use your illusion powers for stage magic performances instead of fighting alongside the other Superkids?", Annie ponders.
- "It seemed like the logical thing to do with my powers. Besides, I dislike fighting", Ezekiel explains.
- "If you're looking for info on my father, he keeps important documents in the attic", Annie explains. She leads Ezekiel back to the mayor's study, then pulls on a large portrait on the back wall that reaches almost from the floor to the ceiling. It swings outward, revealing a hidden staircase. The two of them walk up the staircase and into the attic. They begin looking around and Ezekiel spots a long metal box.
- "What's in there?", He inquires, pointing at the metal box. Annie opens the box and pulls out a large, cylindrical green gun.
- "Looks like a bazooka", Ezekiel points out. Annie puts the bazooka up and they continue looking around the attic. Ezekiel stumbles onto a suspicious-looking suitcase with papers sticking out of it. He drags it over to Annie, and the two of them manage to get it open.
- "Its full of D.A.N.G. papers", Ezekiel realizes. He also finds a picture of an older woman resembling Annie.
- "That's my mother. She died seven years ago. That was when our father quit his other job and became a full-time mayor", Annie explains.
- "Other job?", Ezekiel wonders.
- "The job he had before becoming the mayor here. This town doesn't have any actual elections by the way. My father became mayor after the previous mayor retired", Annie explains.
- "I'm guessing your dad was a D.A.N.G. agent", Ezekiel surmises.
- "Yes, and so was mom. She died while the two of them were on a mission together", Annie confirms.
- "Your father probably blames D.A.N.G. for your mother's death", Ezekiel points out.
- "You don't suppose he planned to lure the Superkids here to get back at D.A.N.G. somehow?", Annie realizes.
- "From what I heard, he renamed the town Saladora because your brother has a crush on that particular Superkid. He probably wanted Saladora herself to come here so Freddy could meet her", Ezekiel explains.
- "My brother's a bit of a pervert. I don't think you want him anywhere near Sally", Annie points out.
- "Sally is supposed to be having dinner with Freddy tonight", Ezekiel points out.
- "We might wanna go rescue her then", Annie suggests. She walks to a wall on the opposite side of the attic from where they entered, and tripped a switch on the floor, causing part of the wall to open.
- "I found this secret passage a while back", Annie reveals. The two of them enter the secret passage and find themselves walking down a curving staircase. Ezekiel notices this staircase is longer than the one they walked up to enter the attic. Annie trips a second switch at the bottom of the staircase, opening the other end of the secret passage. The two of theme emerge into a different hallway and the wall behind them closes, revealing that this end of the passage is hidden behind part of a large fresco painting.
- "We're on the second floor", Annie points out. As they head down the hall, a door on the right side opens and a young girl appearing to be around 10 or 11 walks out of that room. She has red hair that reaches halfway down her back and is wearing a light blue nightgown and pink fuzzy slippers.
- "That's Poppy, the butler's daughter", Annie reveals. Her voice startles Poppy, who instinctively aims her hands in their direction and fires blue energy beams at Ezekiel and Annie. When the two of them recover from getting blasted, they notice that Poppy now towers over them. She turns around, yawns, and walks into a room to the left of the one she came out of, which Ezekiel and Annie can tell is a bathroom. Poppy turns on the bathroom light and shuts the door.
- "I thought I remembered there being a Superkid named Poppy", Ezekiel reveals. He checks the Superkid Database on his laptop (which he keeps in his backpack along with his magician gear).
- "Poppy Ophelia Piercen. Superpower: size alteration. Her blue energy beams shrink, while her red energy beams enlarge", Ezekiel reads off.
- "Yeah she just shrunk us. She will probably be in the bathroom a while, so we will have to wait for her to finish her business and get her to unshrink us", Annie explains.
- "You seem to be quite familiar with Poppy", Ezekiel notes.
- "Steve Piercen, in addition to being our butler, is a longtime friend of my father's. He and his wife also worked for D.A.N.G. and she died on the same mission as my mother. Steve left D.A.N.G. at the same time as my father, and since he had been my father's assistant there, my father kept him on as a butler at his mansion here in Saladora. I used to watch Poppy a lot when she was younger. Granted, that usually resulted in Poppy shrinking me down and putting me in one of her dollhouses. She would then go downstairs and raid the kitchen. After returning to her room with a boatload of sweets, she would gorge herself until she fell asleep and then wake up a little bit later on and spend a good 20-30 minutes on the pot", Annie explains. The two of them walk into Poppy's room and sit down on part of her blanket that is hanging down off the bed. There are a lot of giant (from their perspective) candy wrappers and cookie bags on the floor (which Ezekiel notes as being conformation of what Annie said Poppy does). While they wait for Poppy, the two of them help themselves to crumbs from the candy wrappers and cookie bags. After a little bit, they hear the toilet flush, and the bathroom door opens. Ezekiel and Annie stand up and the former rushes out of Poppy's room, with one of the girl's giant slippered feet narrowly missing him. Annie yells to get Poppy's attention.
- "Sorry about startling you a little while ago. Did you realize you accidentally shrunk us?", Annie shouts.
- "My bad", Poppy responds. She hits Ezekiel and Annie with red energy beams, returning them to their normal sizes. The two of them leave the room as Poppy crawls back into bed. Ezekiel and Annie head downstairs to the first floor and leave the mansion. They meet up with Felix, Michael, Penelope, Norman, and Julie in the town square.
- "I'm Annabeth, and Frederick is my brother. We go by Annie and Freddy. He's probably taken Sally to Pizza Party. It's his favorite restaurant in this town", Annie quickly explains. She leads the Superkids to the pizzeria, and they quickly notice Sally and Freddy sitting at a table outside of it. Freddy keeps trying to kiss Sally, and she keeps dodging him. Their pizza is mostly uneaten. Sally gets up and begins to walk away, no longer interested in being near Freddy. Freddy gets up and tries to follow her, but Sally holds one of her hands up to block him.
- "You know I love you", Freddy insists. He starts to fling himself onto Sally, but Felix intervenes.
- "Get away from my sister you pervert", Felix yells. He clocks Freddy with a well-timed haymaker. Freddy falls to the ground, knocked out. Sally joins the other Superkids and Ezekiel introduces himself. Mayor Chrome and Butler Piercen come running towards them.
- "Sorry about my son, Sally. I thought he just wanted to meet you", the mayor apologizes. The sound of glass shattering near by interrupts them. A man carrying a sack full of money emerges from the shattered window of a nearby store. He takes note of the Superkids, mayor, and butler looking at him. The robber pulls out a pistol and aims it at the Superkids. Butler Piercen jumps in front of the others, drawing his own pistol to face the robber.
- "This must be the robber D.A.N.G. sent us to detain", Sally realizes. Both men fire their pistols at the same time. The Butler's shot goes wide, missing the robber and flying all the way to the mayor's mansion, where it takes out a window. The robber's shot hits the butler in the leg. He falls to the ground, dropping his weapon. The mayor picks up the pistol and takes a shot at the robber himself. The robber promptly shoots the mayor in his chest, killing him instantly. The butler is alive, but needs help with his gunshot wound. Annie cradles her father's body before taking the pistol herself and rushing at the robber.
- "Someone contact Darlia Annstein. We need her to heal Butler Piercen", Michael requests. Felix contacts D.A.N.G. as Annie goes after the robber. She fires a shot that appears to miss, but as the robber prepares to fire at her, the bullet she fired suddenly turns around and hits the pistol right out of the robber's hand. A thought occurs to Sally and she checks the Superkid Database in her spy watch.
- "Annabeth Daisy Chrome. Superpower: accuracy", Sally reads off, "Frederick Wolfram Chrome. Superpower: infatuation".
- "Yeah, my brother and I are Superkids too. I never miss a shot, which is why I don't really like using guns. My brother can make any girl fall in love with him just by kissing them. The love spell is undone if he kisses them again, though", Annie explains. A helicopter suddenly flies into view. The Superkids (aside from Ezekiel and Annie) recognize the man and woman on board the chopper: Bountymaster and Captura. The husband and wife bounty hunters land their chopper and walk up to the robber.
- "I lured the Superkids to Texas for you, just like we planned", the robber remarks to the villains. He then pulls some kind of remote out of his pocket and presses a button on it before tossing it to Bountymaster. A nearby building explodes as a giant robot emerges from it.
- "We reverse-engineered Dr. Poltergeist's robot, then had our hired help here steal the supplies and parts needed to build our own robot", Bountymaster reveals. Sally quickly rushes the mayor's body and the butler to a safe place. Felix morphs into a tiger, but he fails to damage the robot by scratching it or biting it. The robot fires a volley of missiles, one of which hits the ground near Norman and Julie, knocking them into a wall and knocking them out. Michael goes after robot, but its too heavy for him to lift despite his super-strength.
- "You Superkids stand no chance against this robot", Captura insists, "give up or we will level this whole town".
- "Pick on someone your own size", Ezekiel yells at the robot. Annie rushes to his side.
- "You might just get that wish", she remarks, pointing towards the mayor's mansion. Ezekiel then notices that the window that was shattered by the butler's bullet earlier was a second-story window. A second-story window he and Annie are both familiar with.
- Poppy wakes up to find her bedroom window busted and a bullet lodged in one of her stuffed animals. She walks towards the hole that used to be her window and sees her father laying injured on the ground. Angrily, She dons her slippers and red aura manifests around her. She leaps through the hole and begins to grow...and grow...and grow. Now as tall as the mansion itself, she stomps towards the robot. Ezekiel once again narrowly avoids being stepped on by her as she walks past the other Superkids.
- "Take it down, Kidzilla!", Annie yells.
- "Kidzilla?", Ezekiel wonders.
- "Its what the locals call Poppy when she gigantifies herself", Annie explains, "It has sort-of become her superhero alias". Kidzilla punches the robot repeatedly, and seems to be putting some dents in it. The rest of the Superkids turn their attention to the bounty hunters and robber. Bountymaster pulls out a double-barrel shotgun, while Captura has a sniper rifle. The robber recovers his gun as well. Before any of them can shoot, another helicopter appears overhead. Sally's and Felix's parents, Ryan and Nemona, descend from the helicopter on ropes along with Darlia Annstein. The helicopter flies away to land as the Blitzer parents draw their own guns, which are high-caliber pistols, and prepare for a gunfight. Sally and Felix direct Darlia to the injured butler. She heals the butler and confirms that the mayor is dead. The sound of gunfire rings out, and the Blitzer siblings turn around to see the robber lying dead on the ground, and their father carrying their mother towards them. She's alive, but was shot in the leg. Bountymaster and Captura are back in their helicopter and about to fly away.
- "No way I'm letting those two escape", Annie insists. She rushes back into the mansion as Darlia begins to heal Mrs. Blitzer. The bounty hunters lift off in their helicopter.
- "You've won this time, but we will be back. You haven't seen the last of us", They insist. Everyone suddenly hears yelling coming from the roof of the mayor's mansion. Annie is standing up there with the bazooka she and Ezekiel found in the attic.
- "This is for my father!", Annie declares. She fires the bazooka and hits the helicopter right in its tail. The back end of the helicopter is blown clear off and it crash-lands somewhere just outside of the town.
- Annie rushes back down to where everyone else is, leaving the bazooka in her father's study. Mrs. Blitzer and Butler Piercen are both back on their feet. The robot has been reduced to scrap and Poppy is fast asleep near a playground, still in her gigantified state. Annie motions to Ezekiel and then points to the sleeping Poppy. Several of the local kids are climbing on the giant sleeping girl (the whole town was woken up by all the commotion).
- "That's Kidzilla for you. Using her superpower exhausts her, especially if she uses it for gigantification. She has a habit of falling asleep while still gigantic, and the local kids enjoy using her as a human playground while she sleeps in said state. She got so used to it that she automatically heads to the park when she knows she's about to fall asleep when gigantified. The kids really enjoy it when she rolls over while they are climbing on her", Annie explains. Almost right on cue, Poppy turns over. One of her slippers comes off, and lands right on top of Ezekiel. Sally and Annie laugh about it together.
- "You dodged that slipper twice tonight. I guess the third time's the charm", Annie remarks. Freddy finally comes to after having been knocked out by Felix's punch. He immediately runs towards Sally.
- "I know we got off to a rough start, but I really do love you", Freddy declares.
- "Get a life, lover boy", Sally yells back.
- "I'll make you fall for me eventually, Saladora. I will-", Freddy begins saying, but unfortunately for him he stopped running directly behind the sleeping Poppy. Before he can say another word, she turns over in her sleep again, and Freddy disappears under her butt.
- A few days later, the Superkids are attending Mayor Chrome's funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Blitzer were unable to attend. when they found the wreckage of the bounty hunters' helicopter, there were no bodies there. D.A.N.G. realized that Bountymaster and Captura escaped again, and asked the Blitzer parents to search around for them. Annie and Freddy have been adopted by Butler Piercen, now Mayor Piercen. The people of Saladora named him their new Mayor, and made Saladora herself the Vice-Mayoress. The Blitzers decided to set up a base for the Superkids within Saladora, Texas as well. Ezekiel and Annie are joined at the funeral by Poppy, now back to her normal size and in a black skirt and dress shoes. They sit down next to Sally and Felix.
- "Where's your brother?", Sally asks Annie.
- "Poppy's been looking after him", Annie remarks. Poppy shows the Blitzer siblings the portable dollhouse she's holding. A shrunken Freddy is inside. He's wearing a dress like a doll would wear.
- "My brother's superpower works both ways. if a girl kisses him, HE falls madly in love with THEM. Needless to say, Poppy took advantage of that", Annie adds. Poppy opens the door of the dollhouse.
- "You can come out for the funeral, but get back in your house once it's over", Poppy informs Freddy.
- "As you wish, my queen", Michael responds. Sally, Felix, Ezekiel, and Annie laugh as Freddy emerges and sits in Poppy's lap. After the funeral and the burial, Sally and Felix contact their parents.
- "Any luck finding Bountymaster and Captura?", They inquire.
- "Not so far. There's been no trace of them, and no clues as to what they are planning to do next either", Ryan and Nemona inform their kids. Sally and Felix hang up and walk away, and Poppy heads back to the mayor's mansion. This leaves Ezekiel and Annie alone together.
- "With all we've been through here, I realize I have grown feelings for you now", Ezekiel admits, "You feel like watching a movie together?".
- "That sounds like a great idea. By the way, I have feelings for you too", Annie reveals. The two of them suddenly embrace and lock lips. Felix, Sally, Michael, Penelope, Norman, and Julie all take notice, and smile.
