55. Apocalypse, the world's first mutant, reunites some powerful mutants of his. Now, with the help of Raven/Mystique, Professor Charles Xavier and many other mutants, all of them must fight to save their world from destruction. Also, they must regain Magneto after he becomes forced in by Apocalypse.
 56. After the re-emergence of the world's first mutant, the world-destroyer Apocalypse, the X-Men must unite to defeat his extinction level plan.
 57. Just saw the move today. It was beyond amazing. There are plenty of people out there saying it's not very good. However, I've been a fan of the X-Men franchise since the very first movie. Don't believe all the harsh negative critics. Go see the movie for yourself. You can be the judge. It's more than worth the price of admission. 20th Century Fox is doing wonders with this franchise. Marvel could never do the #XMen justice. It's honestly one of the best superhero movies ever made. At least in my opinion. A lot of people are quick to judge when they haven't even seen it or refuse to watch it altogether. I don't get all the negative criticism. It had action, suspense and even heartfelt moments. I give it a solid 10 out of 10 rating. #XMen #Apocalypse
 58. At last I am happy, X-Men Apocalypse is all I wanted to see and Bryan Singer just delivered the same. I know a lot of people will disagree with me but after a long time it was a straight forward Good vs Evil fight. This was the 4th in line most anticipated superhero movie after 'Batman Vs Superman', 'Deadpool' and 'Captain America:Civil War'.

Being a Superman fan I never took it kindly the defeat and death of Superman, Deadpool isn't my kind of superhero and as I have mentioned in my previous review that Cap wasn't so righteous in that movie which I always liked in him.

Anyway the starting of the movie and introduction of En Sabah Noor in ancient Egypt back in 3600 BC was really cool. I wish they could prolong that part as it quickly ended with him getting buried under the enamours pyramid.

The whole idea of projecting Mystic as some kind of hero (or heroine) is beyond me as the first 2 prequels showed her in a complete different light and there was no indication about her volatile and complex relation with Magneto. She was always shown a very loyal subordinate of Magneto. Not sure if it is because of Jenifer Lawrence is playing as Mystic/Raven.

James McAvoy as Professor Charles Xavier and Michael Fassbender as Erik / Magneto are fantastic. Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy / Beast and Sophie Turner aka Sansa Stark as Jean Grey were cute, Jenifer Lawrence as Mystic maybe hot but not so engaging. Actually Olivia Munn as Psylocke looked hot and better than her. Quicksilver and Nightcrawler provided the much-needed humour in this saga.

The only regret I have is that my favourite villain Apocalypse aka En Sabah Nur did not get as much as screen share as he supposed to have. I am always fascinated with the idea of a Villain being all powerful (Like Galactus in Silver Surfer or Ming the Merciless from Flash Gordon). They should have shown him more powerful, but I am not skeptical about how Jean in the end got the better off him. As Professor always believe Jean's powers can't be measured and always should be in check for greater good.

I would rate this one as 7.5/10 and will advise all the movie buff to watch.
 59. The idea of an apocalypse means every dial has to be turned up to 11 and this film certainly provides bangs for your buck, although there is less space for the surreal strangeness of the X-Men to breathe, less dialogue interest, and they do not have the looser, wittier joy of the Avengers. But the more playful episodes with Cyclops and Quicksilver are welcome and everything hangs together.
 60. One can say both. X-Men: Apocalypse is a reboot as it takes place in a reset timeline due to the events of the previous film X-Men: Days of Future Past. The timeline goes back to the origins of the mutants with younger versions of the X-Men. It is also a sequel due to taking place after the main events in Days of Future Past, which took place in the 1970s and most of the cast of First Class and Days of Future Past have returned. No. Shortly before the film movie was released, Bryan Singer announced that X-Men: Apocalypse and the then-upcoming third Wolverine film (Hugh Jackman's last role as Wolverine) would be the final chapters of his X-Men film franchise. However, the studio had a number of other films planned. Among them, It is rumoured that one is or would be titled "X-Force". It is uncertain if the film will be canon and will be apart of the cinematic X-Men universe. Though rumour has it the film after the next will be set in the 1990s, with the current cast. So, perhaps Bryan Singer will step down as director if the series continues. Yes, there is. He does indeed lose his hair near the end of the film, so the film's poster is truthful in a sense even if slightly misleading. Excluding ones that came out after Apocalypse, there are nine: X-Men (2000), X2 (2003), X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), X-Men Origins: Wolverwine (2009), X: First Class (2011), The Wolverine (2013), X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), Deadpool (2016) and X-Men: Apocalypse (2016). a5c7b9f00b
