“Deception is my middle name!” called the cold metal tone of Robotnik from the head in the sky above. “Ha! Another lie. My middle name’s actually Gerald. Time to FIGHT!”

Impossibly, a fistfight broke out between the one-hundred-foot mech and the four-foot echidna. Knuckles swung a hard, gnarled fist at the machine, making a tiny scratch in the side of the Giant Eggman Robot’s arm.

“Aww, how adorable!” cackled Robotnik’s voice.

Whump!

With a long swing of his metal boot, the Giant Eggman Robot punted Knuckles’ body off the street and several blocks away. He landed in the middle of the Green Hills High football field as a giant puff of dirt burst into the sky.
