  4.
  5. Jarred and Pippa here.
  6. So our thread got more traction than we were anticipating, something in the range of a couple hundred people. We were kind of expecting like, maybe a dozen.
  7. So here we are to answer the big questions.
  8.
  9.
  10. >What’s this about humanoid traits being bred in? I don’t understand?
  11.
  12. Variations of this question were fielded to us and we didn’t do a good job of answering so…
  13. We’ll start from scratch. Most breeders are tasked with trying to breed across generations unusual movesets that the pokemon either struggle to, or simply cannot, learn innately. Like, say an Eevee with Wish at their command.
  14. Less commonly, certain physical traits are bred across, like say a Flareon who can breathe fire like a true fire pokemon (For those who don’t know, Flareon are probably the least fiery of the fire types, and they tend to prefer to just crash tackle their opponents - they’re surprisingly solidly built).
  15. This second point about physical traits is the important part. Because while the aim of most breeding is to pass across practical traits, (so for the Flareon, a throat that constricts properly to turn the flame into a focused jet) this process extends to secondary sexual characteristics.
  16. And the shifts toward those characteristics are immediate. Lets take an example from Ninetales. They like tails, probably obvious, sure, but quality matters more than quantity - a pretty tail goes a long way.
  17. [Pippa: A note for any would be breeders out there looking to couple with a Ninetales - big, bushy, well kept, tail butt plug. Bonus points if you can sway it convincingly.]
  18. Whatever you breed with a Ninetales, if it has a tail, will manifest a bushier, and oftentimes stronger tail, and they might even obsessively clean it the way you’d expect a Ninetales to do. Why would the pokemon do this? Well, simply it’s attractive to Ninetales.
  19. Makes sense so far?
  20.
  21.
  22. >Where do humans come into this?
  23.
  24. An example: Female Gardevoir naturally don’t have breasts - that’s a result of human influence (The dress serves the function of main secondary sexual characteristic)
  25.
  26.
  27. >How long lasting are the shifts towards ‘human-ness’?
  28.
  29. It’s sort of passed down from generation to generation, but rapidly disappears as pokemon traits emerge over the top of it. We put this down to what appeals to a particular pokemon isn’t necessarily a shared interest, so only certain traits can be emphasised at a time.
  30. It takes a couple of generations to disappear completely, the more human traits, the more generations it takes.
  31.
  32.
  33. >Any differences between human-bred pokemon and regular pokemon?
  34.
  35. In terms of personality and intelligence? None we noticed really.
  36.
  37. In terms of physical appearance? Genuinely more attractive to humans with each iterative generation.
  38. Starts with hips, shoulder structure next, pelvic structure (I.e. to allow bipedal function, even if they retain a preference for quadrupedal motion), stronger feet (I.e. so that standing straight is comfortable), bust comes after that, facial features start to be more ‘human-ish’ at this point but never too human, scalp that allows humanoid mane.
  39. The number of generations it takes to fill that list naturally vary.
  40.
  41. In terms of moveset? Uhh…
  42. Do we want to go here? Because the implications are…
  43. Alright, bare with us: it might just be that humans are either pokemon themselves, or related to pokemon in some strange way.
  44. Sounds absurd, but it’s the only theory we have for why humans can impart movesets.
  45. Yes, you read that correctly - humans can impart moves.
  46. As you’d expect, normal moves become common, but once you start ‘associating’ with a type, those moves show up in your offspring.
  47. Don’t get what I mean? Well, naturally you’d expect psychic humans to bear psychic offspring, right? Well, it goes one further, right down to temperament. We know a goth girl who breeds for instance - dark type moves are a hallmark of her breeding effort. We know a guy who is… lets just say he’s fit - fighting type moves pop up all over. Hell, we know someone who like breeding while going hang gliding. Yeah, humans can impart flying type moves.
  48. So yeah, humans are Normal types with the capacity for pretty much any subtype.
  49.
  50.
  51. >Does this mean humans have an egg group?
  52.
  53. Probably.
  54. The whole ‘live birth’ thing is kind of a kink in the details for working that out.
  55. Jarred: I’m assuming human-shaped group because… well, duh.
  56. Pippa: … Except that pokemon that share traits with humans are also represented in Field. Also, don’t forget Gardevoir is in the Amorphous group. If I had to put money on it, I’d put in on Ditto for one simple reason: I’ve carried eggs from every pokemon short of legendaries (that can also have a determinate male sex with functional phallus, sorry Shedinja) and it’s turned out fine.
  57.
  58.
  59. >What are common problems that arise in each region, in terms of legality?
  60.
  61. Smarter people than us have much clearer answers to that.
  62.
  63. Kanto - Not legal, not wise to admit it. Even though we were born here, there’s a reason we didn’t stay.
  64. Jarred: Not that it stops people. Ask the right person in Celadon city and a whole underground community will open up to you.
  65. Pippa: Yeah well, the utility of vines happen to change minds on that topic. Just remember, Kanto is a fairly parochial, insular place. They forget the rest of the world exists and can spot an outsider a mile away.
  66.
  67. Sevii - Unsure, don’t actually think it’s ever come up.
  68. Jarred: My advice, don’t test the waters (pun not intended, I know they’re islands), you don’t want to be the landmark case in legislation changes. I’d say keep it private.
  69. Pippa: Honestly, I don’t think it’s that much of an issue provided you don’t be stupid, stupid. What happens on the beach stays on the beach - after all island living is a statement of ‘fuck dealing with people in general’ for a reason.
  70.
  71. Johto - Not legal, the laws are more puritanical than Kanto, but the people are more accepting than Kanto.
  72. Jarred: A contradiction huh? Here’s the thing you’ll notice about Johto in general, it’s a place of contradictions and duplicity. Everyone there has some hidden side to themselves or will go full social chameleon depending on present company.
  73. Pippa: My brother won’t admit it but he doesn’t like dealing with people from Johto and makes me do it - he can’t tell when they’re being honest. Look, if you head over Johto way, don’t do anything that’ll get you arrested and make friends with like minded people (they’re surprisingly easy to find). Everyone covers for their friends there.
  74.
  75. Hoenn - No laws, every case before the court has always been determined on ‘other’ factors. E.g. No one’s ever been convicted for having sex with pokemon, however people have been convicted for public fornication.
  76. Jarred: People describe it as ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’, but that’s an outsider’s misunderstanding. It’s more like ‘no one cares, but I really don’t want to hear about your sex life’. Hoenn’s weird as a place. No one looks you in the eye there, it’s like they’re all mildly autistic.
  77. Pippa: I put it to the nation’s obsession with arts, poetry and showmanship. Find me an artistic type who isn’t a complete deviant and I’ll die knowing I’ve seen everything.
  78.
  79. Sinnoh - ‘technically’ not legal, but it seems to be more about saving face to Kanto and Johto more than anything. The wording is weak and the punishments range from community service to fines so small a trainer can pay it off on odd jobs.
  80. Jarred: Running theme with Sinnoh people, you notice they like their chosen life path ‘a little too much’. The people who hang around ice type pokemon wear summer clothes, because they’re genuinely comfortable in the biting cold. You cannot tell me that person doesn’t engage with pokemon as well.
  81. Pippa: Sinnoh only cares for excellence. Everything else can be excused.
  82.
  83. Battle Zone - Pfft, go nuts. The law is very simple over there. They have what’s called ‘the baseline contract’: basically don’t trespass on private property (theft, etc.), or private persons (assault, murder, etc.) and everything else is just layered torts over the top of it. As long as you’ve got consent, no one there cares.
  84. Jarred: interesting quirk of the baseline contract, the state can’t interfere with consensual sex unless it directly infringes upon another’s private property or persons because of the contract’s wording.
  85. Pippa: Just… be aware they take the ‘Battle’ thing kind of seriously and it extends to sex. This one’s for trainers, if you lose a battle and don’t have cash, expect to pony up ass.
  86.
  87. Unova - Very Illegal - Jail time is a potential outcome illegal.
  88. Jarred: There’s… historical baggage here I don’t know enough about to comment on fully. What I do know is that a place as clean and pretty as Unova comes at a price, and that price was a raft of personal freedoms. Unovans however spend a fortune on sex tourism.
  89. Pippa: There are movements to chip away at the laws, as they were reactionary in a way that even their fairly conservative culture finds overkill, so there’s kind of a ‘gently, gently’ thing going over there.
  90.
  91. Kalos - Illegal but rarely enforced
  92. Jarred: Obsession with image is a cultural sickness over there, but image has a tendency to be shallow. See, the laws exist to make the people look good, right? ‘No one in Kalos would ever be caught fucking a pokemon!’ and to prove it, they do everything in their power to not bring people up on those charges.
  93. Pippa: On the surface they talk big about snuffing out pokephilia, but underneath? I’m pretty sure they only fuck humans for the purposes of procreation. No one wants to admit they’re probably the kinkiest region.
  94.
  95. Alola - Not even on the books.
  96. Jarred: Understand, public nudity isn’t on the books over there. Public fornication is, but it’s on par with loitering.
  97. Pippa: You want hard jail time in Alola? Litter. I’m deadly serious.
  98.
  99. Orre - Everything’s contracts.
  100. Jarred: Seriously, there’s a universal contract with the state authority everyone’s expected to sign. Because one of the clauses in that contract is ‘no coercion by obfuscation’, everyone must be able to understand and articulate their contracts, making everyone there legal experts by default.
  101. Pippa: What my brother means with that aside is that if it’s not in the contract, no one can stop you.
  102.
  103. Fiore - Legal
  104. Jarred: And encouraged, just not for outsiders. They’re kind of parochial about it, but it makes sense as philosophically, they’re so diametrically opposed to the rest of the regions in terms of pokemon relationships that they’d be leery about outsiders. If you want to be accepted in Fiore in general, do your tour as a Ranger.
  105. Pippa: I’d say the cross cultural proximity is why Sinnoh wound up in the position it did in terms of attitudes vs. Laws.
  106.
  107. Almia - Legal
  108. Jarred: But quiet. Being on the mainland with a Ranger community as opposed to a Trainer one means that they don’t want to advertise attitudes that will make them the whipping boy of the day.
  109. Pippa: It’s easier for outsiders to find a way into their culture than Fiore, but the rules are less obvious and clear. ‘Discretion’ is a popular meme over there, and you’ll often see the word on their internet forums posted without context.
  110.
  111. Oblivia - Legal… sorta?
  112. Jarred: Oblivia is a quiet place of few people. It only has one Ranger overlooking the whole region if I recall correctly. Trainers are made to feel unwelcome, moreso than Fiore and Almia. The relationship with pokemon for the most part is ‘live and let live’.
  113. Pippa: The legal situation basically amounts to ‘untested, but no one’s likely to give much of a shit’.
  114.
  115. Ransei - Depends on the city state…
  116. Jarred: And honestly, given all the political intrigues happening over there, it’s not a subject anyone’s likely to give a shit about. I also wouldn’t recommend visiting until the dust settles, shit’s still feudal.
  117. Pippa: Man, I forget that place even exists. I hear humans evolve like pokemon over there, but that can’t be true… right?
  118.
  119.
  120. >Are there any pokemon you would consider 'do not attempt'?
  121.
  122. Jarred: Uhh, I’m unsure? I admit I’m a bit picky on my tastes so I don’t know what I would…
  123. Pippa: Ignore my brother, the answer is Slugma. It’s LITERAL MAGMA INCARNATE.
  124.
  125.
  126. >How much does the lack of communication get in the way?
  127.
  128. Jarred: Enough that it can be a serious issue if you’re not prepared. Trust is key. Learn as much about body language as you can.
  129. Pippa: This one’s easier for the ladies though, male pokemon are a little more forthright and tend to rely on your feedback more than you rely on them.
  130.
  131.
  132. >What's the best plan of action if one of your pokemon is interested, but you are not? E.g. Someone is already in a relationship with their Absol, but their Weavile wants to try and muscle in. What is the best method of saying no, that one romantic partner is all you desire?
  133.
  134. Jarred: Simply put, don’t spare feelings. Either they know where they stand, or you’re not being clear enough. You don’t have to be a dick about it, but be firm and stand your ground. It’s that simple. A note about Weaviles specifically, they’ll do that and they don’t like ‘no’ for an answer, so you should really see that coming a mile away. What I want to know is: why isn’t your Absol going absolutely medieval on that Weavile for encroaching? There aren’t many things that piss an Absol off, but people muscling in on their few intimate relationships is one of them.
  135. Pippa: While I’ve never had this issue (self-professed pokeslut, what do you want from me?), I’ve had the inverse. Jealous pokemon are not fun to deal with, but the only solution is to assert yourself over them and make it abundantly clear you do not belong to them. Most pokemon don’t do subtlety or nuance.
  136.
  137.
  138. >How common of an issue is evolution? The pokemon becoming too large to be with anymore, or something similar?
  139.
  140. Jarred: Depends, but the size thing is more of a communication problem than anything. There are issues where pokemon become too dangerous for the breeder, but that’s something that can only be weighed on a case by case basis. Bewears are notorious for this, the only answer is proper training - for both of you. Remember, you can always do better yourself and you should strive to do that.
  141. Pippa: Evolution mid coitus is rare but happens and can be dangerous depending on the pokemon. For instance, I once had an Onix evolve into Steelix mid session and let me tell you, that was awkward-
  142. Oh, we’re just talking in general? Uhh… Ask me again when I find an evolutionary line I haven’t fucked every member of.
  143.
  144.
  145. >Do you two ever… you know… with each other?
  146.
  147. Jarred: … Why would you ask that?
  148. Pippa: Honestly? I fuck Muks for a living. I’m pretty sure no matter how we handle this question, you’re all just going to assume ‘yes’ anyway.
  149.
  150.
  151. >Muks? Wouldn’t that like, kill you?
  152.
  153. Pippa: Oh there’s prep you need to do, don’t get me wrong on that. It mostly involves a firehose. There are ‘sludge compounds’ you can get that are less dangerous that can still keep them healthy, all good breeding shops should stock it because it lets the Muks interact with other pokemon without accidentally hurting someone. If you get their PH down to something less caustic, it’s actually surprisingly safe. DO NOT use anything other than water (or rather, anything that isn’t PH7) to balance them as you can’t know ahead of time if they’re base or acid - they vary day by day.
  154. If you take the above steps, they’re weirdly sterile (on account of all the infectious shit been burned out by what can only be described as napalm for microbiomes), but if you don’t… well, I wouldn’t kiss one, I’ll tell you that.
  155. …
  156. I like them because they like cuddling.
  157.
  158.
  159. >What are your favourites to breed with?
  160.
  161. Jarred: Gardevoir. Yes I’m that guy.
  162. Pippa: Oh, that’s really hard to say because I have so many… Tell you what, I’ll list the unconventional favourites (because listing Nidoking and Archanine comes as a surprise to literally no one): Mimikyu, because whatever’s under that disguise makes for the most imtimate experience ever; Slowbro, because their dicks are huge and their orgasms last an hour (and they’re pumping out cum the entire time); and Arbok because I like being tied up and I like hemipenises.
  163.
  164. >What do you two actually look like?
  165.
  166. Jarred: Firstly, we’re fraternal twins. You know that dark off-red, almost black hair you get? Yeah, we’ve got that. I’m fit these days on account of having to breed with fighting types you don’t really suffer weakness all that well. Uh… hazel eyes. I keep my hair long because there’s a Tsareena around here who’ll kick me if I cut it. She’ll also kick me if I dispense with the ‘perma-stubble’ (that’s a fucking pain to maintain). Umm…? Just shy of five foot eight.
  167. Pippa: Flatter than a piece of pita bread, which makes me unique among breeders actually. Most wind up with big knockers on account of the whole constantly lactating thing. Mine… just… don’t? I dunno. I do know I get quite milky, so there’s that. I know at least three breeding girls who have hit F cup, one of the girls is really tiny too, barely four and a half feet tall. Where was I... Oh yeah, He shaves, I wax. He’s a respectable seven inches and a shower, not a grower.
  168. Jarred: …did they need to know all that?
  169. Pippa: Eh, If they’re going to picture someone being inseminated by a Butterfree, I’d rather they get the correct image in their heads.
  170.
  171.
  172. Cheers,
  173. Jarred
  174.
  175. XO,
  176. Pippa
