  1. Sigismund leads Jude to his office/resting quarters/workshop. Though he never really used it outside of it being a working station. The bed was only there just for the many, many needed naps in between healing all of those children. A day of rest was something that was rare for him but nowadays, there haven't been as many of them as he thought.
  2.
  3. "Welcome. I apologize for lack of décor here. Can I offer you a cup of tea?" He pauses waiting for his answer before he fills up a kettle of water and sets it upon a nearby stove. Even if he didn't, he liked a cup after a tiring day.
  4.
  5. While it boiled, he went towards one of the nearby chests to withdraw another smaller chest. "With your interest, not to mention your skills with Alchemy, I supposed that you could be someone that could assist me with this."
  6.
  7. He places opens up the smaller chest, withdrawing a golden chalice, carved with exquisite patterns one could only see in the Church in Osrona. "I wish to make a quench- a special kind that would allow me to imbue the blade I plan on reforging with even better. And I plan on using this artifact to achieve so."
  8. (Sigismund cos Gardios)
  9.
  10. You drop Symbol Of Temperance.
  11.
  12. Perhaps what he had expected as am impromptu lesson shifts into something far more different than what was believed. "No thanks," he mutters, eyeing the kettle's early stages of boiling as the purpose of today's invitation is folded down upon the proverbial table.
  13.
  14. The mere mention of alchemical prose had already set the biomancer at a glance of intrigue. "Well, who better else t'ask than me?" A cocky attitude, perhaps for good reason.
  15.
  16. Such whence the plan was offered would he bask for a moment to ponder. Not frequently does his alchemical skill come into light, even lesser does he offer it in-kind to another without the fairest exchange.
  17.
  18. And yet, as one of the few professors the Cirque held a semblance of respect for, who was he to deny such a chance for study?
  19.
  20. "Interestin'." He steps forth, body shifting before the surrounding chalice as a composed observation is befallen upon the item.
  21.
  22. Despite not exactly the holiest of people, the visages of celestial bodies does provide an intriguing set of interest as Jude returns his gaze to the Gardios. "So you're interested in usin' the elements to do what y'need?" From gazing at the capabilities of the chalice alone, there had been a vague understanding of its capabilities.
  23.
  24. "That shouldn't be hard enough. As long as the requisite stuff is already here."
  25. (Jude Cirque)
  26.
  27. "Mhm." He understood from a young age that to cater to certain people, like his fiancé, was to just nod his head and agree. People like the Cirque whom had a large view of themselves. Justifiable perhaps, but arrogance was the downfall of many. But at the same time, he was still a child.
  28.
  29. Learning the way of the world. That arrogance may become pure confidence later on in his life but for now, it was his job to temper it. "It is. I've studied it thoroughly and used it in the past but never for my own benefit." In the sense that he'd profit from it. This time, he allowed himself to be selfish if only because he promised her that he'd take care of himself.
  30.
  31. Not only for his own sake, but for hers and his families.
  32.
  33. "Yes. To make the quench be mixed in with pure ether." So that when the holy energies are imbued in it, it'd allow him to push the blade even further towards the righteous path. What he did with Myrine and Claramonde was a powerful start but this would allow him to do so even more.
  34.
  35. "What do you need? We've all the water we need here and I've a two dozen or so crystals of fire and lightning for our purposes."
  36.
  37. They were used in the process of creating ether attunements, so why wouldn't they be used for such purposes as well? Perhaps also the fairy powder he had stored away.
  38. (Sigismund cos Gardios)
  39.
  40. Was it weird to bear a larger repertoire of information on the task at hand than the one whom he had learned from for another? Mayhaps a tad bit.
  41.
  42. "If I'm not mistaken then..." A finger shifts, now finally priming itself to grace the chalice with his touch. Tap, tap, tap. A finger plunks upon the latent crystals upon the inner sides of the cup. Dim, yet the vaguest essence of color providing a clear essence for most journeyman alchemists. "...th'cup itself is powered by elemental essence."
  43.
  44. From there, the shrill screech of the heated kettle billows upon the room. And like a cue, it had bore a mental understanding upon the Cirque's options.
  45.
  46. "Yes, water. The heated water, please," he mutters, as if it were a request. "And the crystals. I think I understand how this works."
  47.
  48. Though diluting the crystals within the water was as mundane and as lay as possible, there was an added dimension lacking to the proper usage of the chalice. One that Jude seems to understand. "We might need others, but I believe the first step should work for now."
  49.
  50. From it, the first move is sent into the crucible. The hum of red thrives upon the red crystal, the blues glimmer upon the lightning shards, all the while the girth of water crystals flutter with a brilliant azure. The kettle of heated water is poured within its collection and from it alone, the crystals embedded into the cup glows the same heated coloration as the gemstones submerged.
  51.
  52. "Now then, you're a priest for the stars, right?" His query posing as a hint toward their next step. "I don't think it'll be much t'ask y'to help send cosmic essence t'start the purification process, right?"
  53.
  54. To provide energy onto the process. Magic often attributed to purification as it stands beside the ethereal energies of holy.
  55.
  56. In moments, the Cirque began to focus. The steel blues shift and seem to glow as the cosmos around him glides into a brimming high. The attunement to the stars he had bore is set into motion as cosmic essence seems to flutter and fall upon the cup itself.
  57. (Jude Cirque)
  58.
  59. Sigismund smiled at the young man. "Correct. The crystals inside of it are the important part." And more than just that. The Chalice itself was blessed, but the 'mechanism' that allowed it to work as it did functioned off of both it and the crystals.
  60.
  61. The water he was planning on using his for his tea? Well, that would be the perfect The crystals are passed along aside the and the kettle to the young man. He allows the young man to work unbated, only assisting him whenever he needed help. Perhaps it was lazy of him to do so, but with his disability and with Jude's thirst for knowledge, he'd allow the boy to dictate the pace at they went.
  62.
  63. Only if he found something horribly wrong would he really stop him.
  64.
  65. "I am a Knight, actually." Was it that weird for someone so spiritual as him to be a Knight? Perhaps. "But I do possess a strong bond with my Patron star." And the entire Yellow Branch in fact. So, ashe is asked to help provide the energy needed to purify it then that would be what he did.
  66.
  67. Phos's blessing comes to him in a cloak of golden cosmic energy, different than the usual kind many used and he joins the process, focusing his mana to slowly filter into the cup much the same.
  68.
  69. Ah, bless the young boy and his will to help.
  70. (Sigismund cos Gardios)
  71.
  72. Much less a singular branch, there was more to the attunement of the Cirque with the cosmos. Rather than a singular presence, peering past the stars and into the intangible had been one that had brought him this far.
  73.
  74. Ergo with their combined efforts, the chalice would soon be fueled by its requisite essence.
  75.
  76. In the brilliance of golds would the sigils and constellations around its exterior shimmer with a newfound glow. The steam that had fluttered from the surface of the water almost danced with an odd swivel as the crystals all conjoin into a unified yellow as the water begins to bubble once more.
  77.
  78. By no means did he understand this as a blessing of sorts. If anything, he believed the notion occurring before him to simply be the distillation and purification of the water before them, imbuing it with elemental energies that would conjoin into a powerful essence.
  79.
  80. But of course, the more pious might see something else.
  81.
  82. "I believe somethin' happened," he adds, now bring the energies conjured into a downwind. "I think the step's done."
  83.
  84. In moments, the momentary ritual they had imposed would find success. "Now then, I believe as a final addition, it might be wise t'enhance its connection with the ether."
  85.
  86. "Do y'have a cauldron? And a bit of fairy powder maybe?"
  87. (Jude Cirque)
  88.
  89. Sigismund considered himself at least a strong ether Magi. Especially when it came to the manipulation of cosmic ether in particular. A close second being his attunement to Holy Energy. However, his connection to Phos was by far the strongest one in his arsenal. And well, swordsmanship would be useless here.
  90.
  91. Hm. He wondered if it could be crystalized in some way.
  92.
  93. Regardless, he continued with filling the chalice alongside the Cirque, the irony of it being ignored in favor of absolute focus in order to purify the water alongside Jude. Pride for his student swelled in his breast and when they boy gave the signal, he brought his own powers to a low.
  94.
  95. Though he could feel it, even without him having to say it.
  96.
  97. "Of course. Let me fetch it for you. It's right next to the Anvil as well." He gestures to the usual position of his cauldron as he fetches the fairy powder.
  98.
  99. "There you are."
  100. (Sigismund cos Gardios)
  101.
  102. Sigismund cos Gardios has taken Fairy Powder from the chest.
  103.
  104. You drop Fairy Powder x1.
  105.
  106. You drop Fire Crystal x5.
  107.
  108. You drop Lightning Crystal x5.
  109.
  110. A complete workstation had provided ease into the preparations. Hence upon the delivery of the items at hand would the Cirque offer an expanded execution of what some might normally believe to be an ether attunement.
  111.
  112. Before the bubbling tool would a fire begin to heat the waters within. Upon the leaves of a familiar flower would Jude pilfer and conjoin the essence of biomancy into its manipulation. From it, the droplets of juice falls and trickles into the cauldron, an ample addition of poppylous extract would provide the needed base for their soon-to-be experiment.
  113.
  114. And yet, here whence the additive would swivel into usage. From the chalice does the purified ether of a liquid fall into the collection as the swift coagulation of the liquid almost turned it viscous by comparison to the norm.
  115.
  116. The crystals at hand glimmered as the basis of the water's attunement shifts and melds the pool into a brackish purple as, in moments, the final item is disposed of into the mix: fairy powder.
  117.
  118. It falls, slowly enveloping the product with the needed magical essence as the water from the chalice seems to react ever so fruitfully from the exposure alone.
  119.
  120. The thick scent of something foreign deigns to fill the room's enclosed quarters. The ether attunement had been altered in a sense, becoming much more oily of a substance within the viscous cosmic amalgamation that was the final output.
  121.
  122. All-in-all, not a peep from the Cirque. Mayhaps he had been attuned to working silently. Yet such does not stop him from speaking up upon the completion of work.
  123.
  124. "I think it's done," he suggests, taking a moment to step back and provide space for observation. "I'm guessin' y'don't want this bottled, hm?"
  125. (Jude Cirque)
  126.
  127. Sigismund was an alchemist, much like the young Cirque. So, he was quite intimate with the process of creating attunements himself. A few dozen were produced by him by now, many of them created in an effort to provide the defenders of Osrona a fighting chance or an edge in combat.
  128.
  129. Quite a few were created- from his own coffers of reagents as well for the final ditch to push the Ebonblooded away from their walls. It paid off in the end. Of course it would- he had nothing but absolute confidence in his fellows in both in the Order and in the Faith. And even those that just called Osrona their home but belonged to neither.
  130.
  131. Regardless, he can feel the scent of the Poppylus from even here, his other senses somewhat sharpened by the lack of sight. In fact, the bubbling of the cauldron, the smell of the plants and even the crackling of the gems as they were used in the process of being made into an attunement.
  132.
  133. He remains silent as the Cirque work and only when he speaksup does her perk up. "Ah, no. We'll use it with the liquid to enhance it- but I'll need enough for it to serve its purpose."
  134.
  135. To quench the blade in the process of it being reforged.
  136. (Sigismund cos Gardios)
  137.
  138. A nod falls before the sightless knight. "Very well." In a swift instance, would the Cirque accomplish the final steps needed for the quench.
  139.
  140. Nothing flashy, moreso the requisite afterwork required for any brew of any magnitude.
  141.
  142. Not once had he bothered to experiment something in this size and manner. Mostly to the lack of tools at his disposal, the work he had done today at least had provided him an added piece within his resume as an alchemist.
  143.
  144. "I believe this amount should do y'enough." A cauldron-full of the creation surely will yield the needed results. And if not, it was not impossible to create more at a later date. "But other than that, I believe we should be done with all this."
  145.
  146. With a resolved huff, the Cirque's arms cross. He had done everything to the best of his capabilities, and surely the output would show for it.
  147. (Jude Cirque)
  148.
  149. "Mhm." A suitable amount of it would be needed. And if need be, they could create more later on but he was sure that it would be enough for his purpose. He'd need to make notes about this for future use. "Thank you again, Jude."
  150.
  151. A cauldron full of it from what he could hear. At least, he wasn't quite sure what with having no eyes. There was no doubt that the Cirque made a great job however, and it would allow him to progress as an alchemist as well. Or at least the experience of it would be invaluable in the future.
  152.
  153. "If you say so then it certainly will. Thank you. If you are ever in need of my assistance you only need ask, alright? And-" His gaze moves towards the goblet, even without sight he could sense it and track its location. "And if you're in need of this artifacts strength, just ask."
  154.
  155. He'd collect the goblet, setting it inside of its personal chest.
  156.
  157. "Thank you once again."
  158. (Sigismund cos Gardios)
