Nightmare [WiP]

>It's been four months since you arrived in Equestria.
>You had become accustomed to your new life in Ponyville.
>Getting a job, making friends, and pushing yourself to like to this new existence.
>Memories made such a task difficult at times.
>Friends and family in another world were still there, living their lives without you.
>How much they worry about you would vary, sure.
>Perhaps they even assumed you were dead somewhere.
>You can't imagine how they would react when you went back.
>Maybe, you shouldn't.
>The life you built here was filled with a new group of friends.
>You cuddle closer to your bed mate.
>Yeah, you can't go back anymore.
>Her soft, curly mane presses against your face.
>She has the faint scent of cotton candy.
>Pinkie Pie and you had met first when you appeared in this strange land.
>She didn't hesitate to try and be friendly.
>You had been stunned but allowed yourself to open up to this pink horse.
>It was a fast friendship.
>A couple months later, you had realized your feelings had become more than friendly.
>When you confessed, you were met warmly.
>Now you live together with her in Sugar Cube Corner.
>Pinkie's birthday was coming up in a couple of weeks.
>It would be the first one you were able to participate in.
>You promised yourself to make it special for her.
>That's where you gonna tell her you found a place you can live together that would be your own.
>As you get comfortable and begin to drift to back to sleep, Pinkie begins to stir.
>She bolts up, almost dragging you up with her.
>Her body becomes cold to the touch and she begins to sweat.
>Gasping for air, she looks dead ahead.
"Pinkie, are you okay?"
>She turns to face you and seems to calm almost instantly.
>Her embrace is sudden but you manage to hold yourself upright.
>"Oh Nonny, I'm so glad you're all right."
"Bad dream?" you ask in a perplexed tone.
>She nods into your shoulder.
>"It was so sad Nonny. I didn't know what to do."
"What happened?"

>She shivers and remains silent. You feel your shoulder start to get soaked.
"Hey, it doesn't matter what happened..." you begin awkwardly. "Just know that I'm here for you no matter what, okay?"
>She nods again, smearing your pajamas with tears.
>"It was so scary," she whispers.




Author's Note: This was my first greentext story so I felt an obligation to go back and rewrite it. I have the entire thing outlined, just need to fill it in and round it out.
