  1. [center]Carreau, fittingly enough, was named after the richest suit by his father. Being rather well off and wealthy, these facts left him without a care in the world and private homeschooling. However, the Nocturn would take advantage of this fact and neglect his work, often times skipping classes to do the things he loved most: gamble and play cards, or a mix of both. Corosolic was understandably disappointed, yet couldn't do much to stop his excursions, or simply just couldn't bring herself to do anything more than that. Cambion, however, had a bit of a short temper with the young dragon. He would typically berate and argue with his son, extremely upset with his actions, though this wouldn't stop Carreau at all. In fact. it may have made it worse. He would go out more and more, his rebellion becoming nearly impossible to manage. He wanted nothing to do with his father after a certain point, even bristling when compared to him in any way, but still adored his mother. After all, she was the only one who would stay and listen to him, and that was all he needed at times.

  3. Instead of following in his father's footsteps and taking on the family business, or learning how to handle poisons and medicine like his mother, the young Nocturn had been captivated by magic at a young age. Possessing an innate ability to cast and summon spells, Carreau toyed with his talents, applying them in his matches against others, especially if there was money involved. Though as warping other's decks became tiresome, he enchanted one of his own to make the job much easier. When his father refused to give him any more cash, Carreau's main source of income still never changed from gambling with his own set of loaded cards. The way his signature deck of cards glimmered and shone caused his competitors to become distracted during matches, the sight of them being irresistible to stare at. Their numbers and suits could change and swap whenever he wished them to. However, this doesn't mean that he is completely immune to losing a set. At times, his cards will make errors, turning a deep purple, almost black color. They seem to laugh and mock him when they warp, giving unfavorable hands. As he's used them more and more, his luck exponentially declines.

  5. Like in Cambion's youth, Carreau had carried down the rumor of being Shade-touched. Not only because they're father and son, but because, like Cambion, there were rumors of him secreting a black sludge from his maw. A dark smoke envelopes his deck, dark, clawed hands phasing through tables to rearrange cards in his favor. His resistance to authority and refusal to listen to others is but a mild manifestation of the darkness that resides inside of him. Had he not been raised in such a loving home, his crimes and demeanor could have been much worse. Even still, he is not a perfect dragon in the slightest. It will take much time before he can suppress the Shade within him, just as his father did.
