And they fight. Now at this moment Esclados realizes he’s made several mistakes. Yvain’s cut him to the white meat in the first sword strike. Then Yvain backs up and kicks him so hard in the arm that it bends at a right angle. But Esclados ain’t ever been a punk so he bashes Yvain’s head in with a mace and tackles him to the ground. The two proceed to slash and bash, slice and dice and generally ruin each other. Their armor is ruined, their horses are freaking out, and both of them really need a doctor. But they pretending pain don’t hurt and keep fighting. Finally, Yvain slams his sword into Esclados’ head so hard, the helmet breaks in two and Esclados goes “Yeah. I’mma just run.” And takes off.
