Full Time Web Developer for a Silicon Valley Startup

You will join as a full time web developer for a technology firm called Teknology Kreasi Anak Bangsa,
founded and financially backed by professionals from Sillicon Valley, USA in May 2011.

We intend to use our expertise working for blue-chip technology and investment firms such as Apple,
Yahoo!, HP and Hercules Technology Growth Capital to create several exciting and innovative sites
addressing Asian market, with Indonesia as the main focus.

There will be several projects where you will have your assignments. We are looking for a strong
individual with good web-design expertise. There will be lots of opportunities where you will code,
hack, fix, debug, test, build web-app codes and scripts. The following is the list of must-have (and
nice-to-have) skills that we are looking for.

Technical Requirements
- Highly skilled in PHP. Knowledge in Yii framework is a plus.
- Solid understanding of HTML & semantic markup. Understand fundamental differences
between HTML5 and (X)HTML.
- Fundamental JavaScript skills. Experience with a JavaScript toolkit such as jQuery.
- Fundamental CSS knowledge, including selectors and rules cascading. Familiar with general
differences between the CSS2 and CSS3 specs.
- Experienced with Linux OS. Must have years of exposure in the Linux world.
- Some experience with configuring web servers. Primarily involves configuring Apache web
server, setting up PHP engine, database backend (MySQL), and email system.

Non-Technical Requirements
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal communication.
- Able to write efficient and robust but yet portable codes, in fast pace.
- Must have a creative mindset, must be able to provide suggestions, new ideas, and
recommendations for improvements.
- Self-motivated in seeking out the latest technologies in web design and strategy.
- Strong attention to detail, focused on quality testing and assurance.

Optional
- Some experience in writing mobile apps - Blackberry, iPhone, and Android devices - is also
optional.
- Graphic design background is optional. Knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other
design programs is definitely a plus.
- Knowledge in photography is a plus as well.
