  4. ok the custom is perfect but, boy was i messy!
  5.
  6. ok here’s what i’m working with. a scholarly archivist/lore hunter type character. messes around in ruins and lost temples and shit for the secrets and knowledge. potentially finds references to a forgotten deity or religion/cult and wants to like, discover as much as he can about it so he travels around and that’s why he’s an adventurer?
  7.
  8. could be a bard and be use his bardic abilities as like latent divine spells he’s learned from studying the ruins? or could be a wizard that slowly dips in cleric levels? mostly a support character. what’s your vibe?

  13. we're all messes, my friend

  15. what you're describing might actually be perfect for a warlock? they're always searching for knowledge and/or power also, they have an otherworldly patron which your character could've maybe met while unlocking some ancient secret in a ruin and that patron gives them their magical ability?

  17. it'd be more damage focused if you went warlock, otherwise i think wizard to cleric would be great. or even better, you could start as a cleric and cross class into warlock for literally the most chaotic mix of class crossing in the history of class crossing

  22. i completely ignored the warlock but that sounds really interesting. you know me and my love for cosmic horror so it seems in my wheelhouse. and as wild as it seems i’d love to somehow mix in cleric since at my core i love to heal and help others? cleric/warlock sounds horribly messy and therefore i love it

  27. it'd be such a mess but i kind of like the duality of it? you could always mix your warlock side in as something more like... possession, almost, like maybe an otherworldly patron chose you as a vessel and so you can still do the healing & holy spells as a cleric that help the team but also you have your eldritch agenda which could be a fun narrative thing to work with!
