- The core idea of this challenge is to provide an incredibly difficult start that becomes progressively more forgiving as the game progresses and the quest difficulty increases.
- The player is rewarded for reaching certain milestones, unlike hardcore, in which the difficulty is static.
- The rules are meant to slow down the player, not stop them. If you feel these are too strict, adapt them! It's a game!
- The *recommended* goal of the challenge is to reach maximum reputation with each trader.
- !Ground Rules:
- - Start a fresh standard account. (I would recommend using an EOD account or similar if starting this challenge late wipe!)
- - Delete ALL starting items **except** for your pouch container. You get nothing! Not even a knife!
- - VOIP or voicelines must be used for all in-game verbal interactions, even with teammates. Good luck with that!
- - You may only play with the right-hand timeslot. The exception to this is on Factory, where you can choose either timeslot.
- - Game features are only 'unlocked' after reaching certain milestones, they are:
- !Selling to Traders:
- - Unlocked after the first raid
- !Bartering with Traders
- - Unlocked after the first raid
- !Buying from Traders:
- - Each trader is unlocked individually at Loyalty Level (LL)2.
- :: Exceptions ::
- - Fence is unlocked after the first raid.
- - Special items (markers, cameras, etc.) may be purchased at any time from any trader regardless of trader LL.
- - Containers may be purchased at any time from any trader regardless of trader LL.
- - Money may be exchanged at any time from any trader regardless of trader LL.
- !Post-raid (Therapist) healing
- - Unlocked at Medical Station Level 1
- !Insurance
- - Unlocked at either Prapor or Therapist LL3, respectively.
- !Weapon Repair
- - Unlocked at Workbench Level 1 AND Mechanic LL2
- !Armour Repair
- - Unlocked at Lavatory Level 1 AND Ragman LL2
- !Scav Runs
- - Unlocked after the first PMC raid, however:
- - Locations are restricted to Fence reputation (Rep).
- - Each level of Rep unlocks another set of maps.
- - 'Lower rep' maps can still be used after achieving higher rep.
- - The map restrictions are:
- - Less than 1 Rep: No scav raids - fence doesn't trust you yet
- - More than 1 Rep: Factory, Streets
- - More than 2 Rep: Customs, Woods
- - More than 3 Rep: Shoreline, Lighthouse
- - More than 4 Rep: Interchange, Reserve
- !Flea Market
- - Buying from the flea market is unlocked in stages depending on trader reputation and hideout level.
- - Selling on the Flea Market is not allowed until Stage 3.
- - The 3 stages are:
- - Stage 1 (Unlocked at Intel Center level 1 OR Skier LL2)
- - Can buy food items, barter items, and all keys
- - Stage 2 (Unlocked at Intel Center level 2 OR Skier LL3)
- - Can buy weapons and grenades
- - Stage 3 (Unlocked at Intel Center level 3 OR Skier LL4)
- - Can buy weapon parts and ammunition and sell items on the flea
- !Pouch Container
- - As you level up, so does your booty!
- - Different categories of items are locked behind different levels. They are:
- - Level 0: Nothing! Do some squats boy!
- - Level 5: Keys, money, and 'special' items may be placed in the pouch
- - Level 10: Medical items and food may be placed in the pouch
- - Level 15: Barter items and clothing may be placed in the pouch
- - Level 20: Containers may be placed in the pouch
- - Level 25: Ammunition may be placed in the pouch
- - Level 30: Weapon Parts may be placed in the pouch
- - Level 35: Anything else I missed may be placed in the pouch!
