  3. Yard low tide, with its conflicts between Stingers, far eggs and luring, is a bitch and a half when it comes to scores -- one of only 4 regular waves across all maps where I have yet to see a single 50+. Now cannons...it's essentially normal low tide with some changes. What's the same is the egg potential: 60 for first wave, 66 for second, 72 for last. We are looking at a 49/60 and a 55/72 -- my best ever cannons waves and I'm looking at them because I would like to replicate or improve them. (Spoilers: They're good, but still with mistakes!)
  4.
  5. First up, the 49/60:
  6.
  7. 1 Flyfish in the worst possible spot and then only lurables. If played better, the potential could be estimated to be around 57/60...or maybe a bit lower, it's hard to tell. Among the last spawns we got multiple Drizzlers and they're the most tricky lurables for good reasons.
  8. First of all, we have some homework to do in knowing the Drizzler traveling paths relative to our positions in the minutest detail -- I say it like that because on yard low tide, (efficient) Drizzler luring isn't intuitive at all, and it only gets worse when you have some on both sides. There are a couple possible bad jumps that do nothing but delay the Drizzler's arrival and it's easy to trigger them by accident.
  9. Anyway, because Drizzler lures are so strict, that estimate would have to be marked with a big asterisk. Many eggs are produced from the other lurables, and it's common that a lot of them end a bit before the basket. It's not practical to get everything straight to the basket because it actually needs to be free for enough time so that eggs can be delivered. And even if it were...eggs could always lie in forbidden zones for Drizzler lures. There may or may not be ways to guard them, but if they're "blocked" pretty much forever, time may not be enough to collect all of them.

  11. Next up, the 55/72:
  12.
  13. I am seeing 1 Flyfish and 4 Stingers in the spawns, let's see them as 15 eggs that will likely be lost, so theoretical 57/72 potential. We got close to that, not bad!
  14. Actually, that specific Flyfish spawn is not necessarily to be lost: You can shoot just one launcher first to cripple it, and then finish it off after it moves once -- then it's reasonably close to the basket to possibly sneak in those eggs!
  15. Apart from those unlurables, we have also lost a Scrapper, just because it wasn't killed in time. It was likely a late spawn and then hit somewhere on its way, unfortunate. That would actually put us at 54/72, but...hey, we got one above that!? Well, we can thank our greedy friend sev for that: he took a few detours to get far eggs and that is pretty much how we "surpassed" the estimate. Very good! But do note that an early one of these detours has interrupted a Drizzler lure. Because it was early, it was acceptable -- we did get that Drizzler in the end. Gotta be careful with those limited-access far eggs, their collection has to be timed-spaced well.
  16. Yet still, the numbers don't add up fully, another egg or two have been lost somewhere with those far eggs in. I'm not seeing it in the video. Maybe there was simply one from the nearby pile that didn't make it in in time or something, that's always a thing that can happen...more so on normal waves than cannons actually, but you know, we are new to this, we just are inefficient sometimes, it happens.
  17. Overall, this wave was definitely easier to play than the other one because it wasn't full of Drizzlers, but it also had a lower potential percentage-wise due to the 4 additional spawns that wave 3 gives being, you know, only Stingers, when the other wave had none. Decent result, looking forward to repeating and improving it.

  20. Vallu got a 58/60 with Throwers, full wave from his viewpoint in the tweet. No Stingers, no Flyfish, and it only wasn't a perfect wave because Dusty didn't think of Splashdowning the landing Drizzler for quicker access of its eggs.
