  1. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
  2.
  3.
  4.
  5.
  6. We, the members of the GNAA, wish to formally denounce the actions of 4chan, /b/, anon, any and all others who attack the liberties of artists who support themselves though intellectual properties. The actions of pirates and those who protect and defend them are hurting our economy of free expression. Because of their actions, it is no longer feasible to make a career of drawing anime, composing and performing music, and writing literature.

  8. In light of recent events, this degenerate collection of try-hard but fail-hard trolls has tried to hide from their own acts of Denial of Service attacks by claiming they simply exploited software vulnerabilities discovered by Goatsec Security. We would like to warn those responsible that they are wading into dangerous waters.
  9.
  10. We fully support the push for ACTA, and the industries it protects. The thieves of intellectual properties should and will be prosecuted to the full extent of both civil and criminal law. Pirates, who argue that art and digital content should be free, are committing crimes against humanity by forcing those who create, and the vast array of workers that help them into a life of poverty.
  11.
  12. Furthermore, their cowardice of anonymity erodes even more of any shred of credibility left of their argument. Perhaps the same people who rally against producers of content and their industry by illegally stealing from it, the same people who commit acts of terrorism against the victims who promote the rule of law in their defense, are the same people who spend all night in their basement exchanging child pornography via their imageboards.
  13.
  14. 4chan and Anon: You are either with us, or against us. The choice is yours.

  16. Gary F. Niger, Esq.
