Why do you want to become Discord Chanop?
to contribute for making the server enjoyable and organized, to assist with the responsibilities listed below, and also to support interests of both users and staff

Why should we pick you over other applicants?
for the same reason as above, as well as activity (while I only speak occasionally, I lurk a lot and read new posts)

What are the responsibilities of a chanop?
enforcing chat rules (e.g. wrong channel, ping abuse) and advocating for good behaviour; monitoring the welcome system; discussing about server-related things with the staff.

If a rule is broken, what are some ways you would deal with it?
there's a couple of different situations. If the rulebreaking is blatant or they're a clear troll, I act without further ado (verbal warning or instant kick/ban or informing other staff members). If they're new and unexperienced about the rules, I give a friendly nudge and allow them to learn. If I'm not completely sure about the situation, I ask further or give the benefit of the doubt; I prefer laissez-faire over quick punishments; at the same time I try to be aware if someone is such a big nuisance to the server that they obviously need to be dealt with.
