  1. Hi Daniel,
  2.
  3. Most of what you have listed is simple 'Linux' set ups. However, IT in general is not all about Linux. I don't get funded by Microsoft and you will be surprised to know that Im a Linux person myself and yes I know what Apache is as I have programmed Linux Kernels using machine language and Shell Scripting together with Python before.
  4.
  5. What you have listed is not advanced enough to enter a Certificate 3 in IT as you have only concentrated your knowledge in Linux. Even in Linux, you would need to be more advanced than what you have listed before moving on to a Linux subject, which concentrates in advanced configurations such as Mail, DNS, Proxy, DFS servers. In order to know how to set up these types of services, whether Microsoft or Linux, you would need to know about DNS, IP addressing (subnetting), Network communication, Packets etc.
  6.
  7. If you understand all the above, Ill be more than happy to give you a simple exam to show me that you have the knowledge base to move forward to a Certificate 3 in IT.
  8.
  9. Let me know what you think and perhaps discuss it with your mum.
  10.
  11.
  12. Regards
