Avon did not think that was an ethical body modification, but she was fascinated by it.

Vernestra did a backflip out of the way of the sudden blaster fire from Dr. Mkampa’s arm. As the Jedi moved, she twisted the bezel on her lightsaber and the blade melted into a whip, the sinuous purple plasma blade still deadly. When she landed on her feet once more, she flipped the whip at Dr. Mkampa’s wrist. The tip of the light whip caught hold of the metal, melting it and sealing the barrel shut.
