  1. The wind whipped atop the roof of the treasury, its stone walls high and menacing. A small group of people were gathered around Nanda, the tallest of whom spoke first.
  2.
  3. *Your holiness why have you called us here?”
  4.
  5. *To teach you my dear disciples of the nature of power, tell me Itzli where does power come from?*
  6.
  7. *From the will of the people?*
  8.
  9. *If you believe that my son, you are a great fool, no only two things give power. The sword and the coin. The Junta knows this, for they are no fools.*
  10.
  11. *So then why have you brought us here?*
  12.
  13. Nanda rises and begins to lead them back down into the treasury, and stops at a balcony overlooking the main floor.
  14.
  15. *The Junta is losing their war with the heretics, and they fear an attack is imminent on the coin, thus giving them few options. They can either pull troops away from the front line to defend the vaults or leave them unguarded and hope that their intel is wrong. However as they are no fools they called upon me, as defenders of New Aimeism to defend our city and our treasury. I could not refuse because we owe our lives to Aime’s chosen people and by extension the Junta.*
  16.
  17. Murmurs of agreement pass among the disciples.
  18.
  19. *So here is what I command of each of you, go forth into the city and gather the faithful, those most cruel, those most full of rage, and those who would not hesitate to kill for Aime’s sake. Inform them that heretics come into our city, to defile it. To steal the things we value and destroy those that we love. It is on this day I christen Aime’s Army. You few are my generals and we shall weild this army for Aime and Aime alone. I shall be waiting in the deepest vaults of the treasury to command our defence and to protect myself, as I believe there are many in the world who fear our great reformations power. Go now my children, stir the people, cause anguish in the minds of the faithful, bring their fury to my command.*
  20.
  21.
  22. So the faithful went out into the city and into the countryside brining the hordes of New Aimeist faithfuls. Scores of men were set to every entrance and still more to watch from the rooftops. It was on this day that Aime’s Army was born.
